Weird. A pain tingled down both arms, the previous chain cuts still leaking blood. It hurt, but not as much as his pride did. "A Mahamba..." The reply was growled out.

He didn't respond to the answer. It didn't matter if he had heard of him, he did now and he wanted to burn an impression into him. But. Luck apparently wasn't allowing this to happen. With the question he hissed lowly, "..doesn't everything..."

"Huh...?" Zaire blinked. What the jack was that suppose to mean? This thing was annoying. Whatever, he aimed a punch but seemed to barely skid into the other. Damn.

 "Mm," was Harland's only reply, as it grazed him with a punch. He was pretty sure it wouldn't understand him even if he tried.

Yeah. He hated this guy, which meant lash out again. This time his tail actually managed to stay on track and hit the other, though again it didn't seem to do a whole hell of a lot.

Maybe he could just pretend to die? With the attack he fell to the ground, playing dead.

Playing dead had not been his brightest idea, but no one had ever called him smart. Zaire soon found himself lost to black falling unconscious, but luckily found later and taken to nurse cricket where he would be presented with the lovely knew arm scars as souvenirs from the irish cowboy.

Harland, upon realizing the thing was knocked unconscious, got a good look at him and then immediately tried to return home.
Though his first trip through to the Haunted House hadn't been anywhere near as traumatic as the time Alistaire met Seiji, Harland nevertheless had no desire to remain here.
