Pubs are totally made for socialization [Finished ]

Red shrugged her wings; Then, as Lex sprawled;

Aulus' eyebrows rose and he gave a snort of amusement at Lex went over. "Oh yeah, graceful elf come to life you are," he drawled but he did hold his hand out to offer Lex help back to his feet if he wanted it. "Watch where you put your feet, because I'm not going to sweep you off them to save you from another trip," he added, just in case the helping hand gesture had been too kind.

Howlback shifted and looked down. She snorted and shook her wings. The crobat looked about and tossed her wings before gliding away.

Lex sighed and took the hand, pulling himself up. "Never said I was graceful. They got to have some clumsy ones." He shrugged and nodded. "Okay."

Red shrugged and took off after Howlback, hoping for some fun and some dinner.

Aulus also shrugged. "I suppose they just don't give them starring roles," he replied as he set off towards what looked like it might be a kind of central area with places that might sell large quantities of alcohol. After a few moments he frowned at himself as he remembered something and released Thanatos.

The Frogadier blinked up at Aulus, who offered him a nod.

"C'mon, you're coming to be socialized. Learn to deal with crowds and that."

Thanatos, who didn't feel too sure about this, hopped up close to Aulus' heels and stuck there in his shadow.

Aulus sighed.

Howlback had an idea of where to get some entertainment and some dinner. She glanced down and grinned.

"Probably not." Lex followed, humming slightly and paused, looking down at Thanatos. "Hey yah, Thana. Don't be so shy." He had Sunspot out, Howl was doing what ever Howl did. Lex reached out releasing his porygon - Z and hsi newest acquisition, Roulette.

"You know Sun here. The Porygon is Flatline and the lovely gal is Roulette. They will be your drinking buddies today." Lex grinned brightly. "So lets do something awesome. K?"

Red replied. Pizza was good and Aulus didn't usually let her eat it so she was more than glad to jump on the chance.

Aulus thought about letting more of his pokemon out too but quickly decided that it would just get crowded if he did; those who were a reasonable size could come out one at a time later on, once Thanatos was tired out. "He's getting better but I don't think he'll ever like crowds; introvert," Aulus observed for the sake of something to say because this was supposed to be socialization. Why had he agreed to this again? It was going okay so far though he guessed.

Thanatos, still sticking close to Aulus, waved at the unfamiliar pair with a hint of a smile. They all looked friendly enough... so far as he could tell, it was a bit difficult with with the porygon - Z.

Howlback hunkered down, ears perked and watchful for her chance.


Flatline gave a tiny noise and zipped over and behind Lex's head, giving a mournful meep. Lex reached out and stroked over the shiny head. "Yeah, Flatline doesn't like crowds either."

Roulette slowly slithered over to Thanatos and shyly offered her tail to the the water type. She said timidly.

Sunspot replied.

Thanatos croaked and waved at the others a bit more. He gathered this was the idea.

Aulus shrugged. "Well, anyway, that looks like a pub. I need a drink." Social lubrication, right? He headed towards it, wondering if he should get beer to start off or something harder. Why had he agreed to come out here?  

[Shaddaling]

Howlback narrowed her eyes, watching the back door of the chosen parlor. She gave a soft chirp as a delivery person walked out with boxes of pizza. Score, young teenager and stack of pizzas. They were lazy and her favorite victims of scoring free food.

Sunspot grump and dragged his legs through Lex's curls, looking at Thanatos.

Roulette leaned against her trainer and tugged on his pant leg till she was lifted and wrapped around his shoulder. She snuggled down, eyes huge as she watched the coming and goings.

"Pubs it is." Lex followed, debating on his drink and shrugged it off. He was going to experiment tonight and that meant ordering what ever he wasn't familiar with.

Red glanced at Howlback and then nodded at the human with the pizza.


Thanatos replied, moving around to the other side of Aulus from the electric bug. Mental note, that one was not very friendly.

Aulus nodded in reply to Lex's agreement and headed towards the no doubt highly esteemed watering hole. As they approached the door the Agent's shoulders squared and his walk - which had been casual enough - shifted into a rather predatory stalk. By the time he had opened the door and stepped inside Aulus had entered full on 'don't eff with me, in fact don't look at me wrong if you like your face the shape it is' mode. He was all too aware that this wasn't his territory and internally anxious that it might contain some people who would find it amusing to pick on a cripple. Hopefully the walk and the glares would make them think better of it, he didn't want to get into a bar fight tonight.

Howlback chuckled and nodded. She pushed off branch and lazily buzzed right over the teenager's head, back claws reaching out to brush the tips of his hair and pulled up with a screech.

Lex followed Aulus confidently and with a bit of spring to his step. Approaching a new place wasn't territorial but instead, relaxed and calm and certainly ready to have a good time. He peeled away from Aulus, heading towards the bar, and craned up at the menu.

Red clacked her beak in amusement and dropped off the branch a few moments after the Crobat. Talons extended she added her own screech to Howlback's, grabbed the pizza, and whisked it back up into the air. she cackled.


Aulus was not oblivious to Lex's relaxed manner; he wasn't sure if he was jealous or exasperated. Both, make that both. After shooting a glare at a little gaggle of young men who seemed to be staring at him Aulus made for the bar too and - leaning his arm on it - he caught the barman's eye. "What've you got that could floor a Donphan and doesn't go by an overly suggestive name?" Start as he meant to go on, right? It had been months since he'd drunk though so he should probably move on to beer after one or two potent ones or he wouldn't even get as far as pub number three.

The crobat twisted in the air and returned to the branches. She grinned brightly, showing off her fangs as she waited for Red.

"I'm going to have an apple slut," Lex replied cheerfully, deciding that one, suggestive drinks were just hilarious and two anything made out of schnapps and vodka and sprite had to be delicious.

The barman snorted, fixing Aulus a 1800 Silver Dog, before starting on his companions more suggestive drink. "Tequila and grapefruit juice," he added, to Aulus.

Red tried to set the box down on a V of branches but it was stuck in her talons and she ended up flopping rather gracelessly over backwards to avoid squashing it.


Aulus huffed and shook his head. "You would," he said as he took his own drink and paid for it, making a mental note only to drink one of these if it was tequila. "Guess we can sit over there," he added with a nod over to a fairly secluded table. He realized then of course that people probably thought he and Lex were on a date but, well, ******** them and their opinions- or, no, <******** them; may they never be ******** again.

Howlback chittered in laughter and moved along the branches, snagging the box with her wing tips and pulled back to separate the pidgeot from their meal.

Lex took his bright green drink with a bright beaming smile at the bartender and glanced at Aulus and then the table. "That would work, and I happen to like apples candies." He pushed off the bar and wandered to the table.

Red replied, Now freed the flying type hopped back upright and peered at the box, trying to work out which way it opened.


"Right, right," Aulus replied, already making for the table. Once there he set his drink down and dragged one of the chairs around so that he could sit with his back to the wall and keep an eye on all entrances and exits, new habits died hard unless you wanted to.
