[Keeping the fossil please! =D]

Thanatos turned over another rock, moved on, paused, and moved back.

Rose, who was nearby, hurried over to take a look.

Aulus was already hastening over before Rose stopped talking and accepted the rock from Thanatos as he handed it over. No, not the rock, the fossil! "Holy s**t, good job 'Nat!" Aulus gave the large amphibian a friendly nudge with his elbow, a broad grin plastered across his face. "I think this is a helix fossil, it looks like the pictures? We'll have to take it back to be sure of course." As he spoke he swung the pack off his back, passed the fossil back to 'Nat briefly in order to dig out bubble wrap which they then encased the fossil in by joint effort and then placed safely in the bag.

"Well," Aulus straightened up, "we know there are fossils here... but there might be different ones in the caves?" What to do? It was a tough choice.

After his failure in the training mission - even though he'd successfully stolen two pokemon, he still largely considered it a failure - Sync was that much more determined to improve and to be useful to the organization. When the opportunity to find and keep fossils presented itself, the trainee eagerly seized the chance and headed to the cave promptly on the day the hunt was scheduled. Lucky for him, his morning shift was short and he had a majority of the day to look for fossils - until his evening shift started, but he'd be back in plenty of time for that - and luckier still, he'd managed to hitch a ride with some grunts that were also interested in looking for some of the elusive fossils.

Upon arriving at the designated cave, Sync passed a bunch of pokemon and some guy outside that seemed to be stuffing trash into his pockets - what, was he some kind of hoarder or something? - and paused once inside (and subsequently missing the hoarder finding a legitimate fossil), his gaze sweeping from one path to the next. Which to take, which to take... Sync turned to the left and began hiking up, focusing mostly on putting some distance between himself and the entrance while only absently scanning the ground in case anything caught his attention.

When Delta found the can, he ended up kicking it toward his owner, insisting she pick it up. Even if this wasn't outside, it was still litter and he didn't like it. Keita knew he didn't like litter, so when his owner saw the can she let out a sigh and picked it up.

"You know it is just one can right?" Keita asked Delta, her Servine not responding and continuing down the left chamber ", And I said it was my turn to pick next!"

Something dark caught his eye and Sync paused, looking at it a moment or two before he knelt down. He picked it up in one gloved hand and turned it over in his fingers to see if it was anything of importance, but it was simply just... a chunk of... yep, just a chunk of coal. A displeased noise emanated from the back of his throat as he chucked the dusty lump over his shoulder and stood up, and continued walking up the path and keeping an eye on the floor as he went.

Sync brushed his hands against each other to wipe the coal dust off his gloves while he walked, but a piece of paper on the ground up ahead caught his attention next. He almost walked past it but knelt down again to check it out when his curiosity outweighed the fact that it wasn't a fossil. It was a map, though, and since he hadn't taken one when he came in, maybe it would come in handy...? He picked it up and straightened up again, using it to wipe the coal residue off his gloved fingers. It was useful as a napkin, if nothing else - for now, anyway. Shoving one hand into his pocket while the other remained out with the slightly crumbled map, he continued walking and surveying the floor as he went.

(Keeping the Zubat)

This time Keita and Delta alike knew what NOT to do, making sure the last attack wasn't too strong in order to make sure the Zubat's health wasn't too high. Once its health was low enough for sure, Keita decided to throw the pokeball, her and Delta waiting for the click of the closing ball to make sure they had captured the Zubat.

After the click, Keita picked up the pokeball and put it away ", Nice! We have caught a Zubat finally! Now we are going the way I want, okay? We are going to the outside scree now."

Something up ahead caught his attention - it seemed lumpy and an odd color in the dim lighting - so once he got closer he knelt once more to inspect it. He almost picked it up - almost - until he saw that it was nothing more than a discarded banana peel. Gross. The trainee found himself quite glad he'd been paying attention to where he was going. Ignoring the banana peel he stood up again and rather than continue, he lifted the map to study it for a few moments. It seemed quite straightforward - left led down in one path while right led up in another single path - and thus pretty much impossible to get lost in. Deciding the map had now served its brief purpose, Sync crumpled it up in a ball between his gloved hands and tossed it behind him before he continued deeper into the cave, his hands resting in the front pocket of his hoodie as his gaze swept across the floor more. When would he find anything good? Surely there were valuable things in here - or at least things apart from garbage.

Michiko, upon hearing about an exploration within a new cave, decided to take Snap and Ibarra with her to explore.

Upon entering the right chamber, she used Ibarra's nature light to help her shine in blind spots and Snap to help her lift some bigger rocks.

Motioning them both, they went to a pretty big rock but with Snap's help they should be able to move it.

"Count of 3. 1...2...3!"

They both shoved, moving it.
