"Hey, you can move. And let me know if you understand or need me or...oops, right." she closed her mouth and set her hands in her lap, just sitting there, sometimes looking at him. She'd have to get him some better fitting clothes. Maybe this silence thing wouldn't work too well, either.
"If you were wondering, I'm not as fragile as I look...and you're a bit too light."

Takeshi listened as she said he could move. He nodded and sat back up looking around and listened to her talk. His mind understanding the language more as she spoke. Nekos were intelligent and fast learners. He looked her over when she said she wasnt fragile. He had to think about that statement for a bit before he understood what it meant. "U...understand....hard speak" he said trying to let her know that he understood what she was saying but didnt know how to speak it well. He moved around the room curiously looking at everything. He accidently stepped on the remote. He was frightened by the bright light and loud sounds that he hid behind the couch and peeked out.

"Oh! Well, that's good to know." she watched him, jumping slightly in surprise before smiling. She slid over and leaned over the couch arm to look down at him, hair hanging in a curtain. "Haha, that's just the television, silly. TV's not gonna hurt ya." It was interesting to see his reaction. This was a neko, just like the stories. Quick to learn...but he didn't already know English, and he didn't already get basic things around the home. Rae would need to ask what happened to him when he could speak better.

Takeshi looked at her when she leaned over the couch. "TV?" he said not sure what that was and crawled over to it poking at the screen and examining it intrigued by this odd box. he looked at it from all sides and sat in front of it looking at the moving pictures and people speaking entranced by it. He had never seen anything like it although he wondered how the tiny people got inside of it.

Rae nodded a little, sitting up as her neck grew stiff. "I can't tell you entirely how it works, but...it projects images onto that screen. You can put on pretty much whatever you want, as long as there's a recording of it." okay, so he didn't know what a television was. That was definitely odd as, in this day and age, there was one in every house. Even here, in this more rural area. "By the way, are you feeling any better? You were pretty dang unconscious when I picked you up off the street. Do you need to go to the hospital? Y'know...get some medical attention?" she had to ask. What if he was very ill?

Takeshi listened as she explained how the tv worked. He wasnt entirely sure yet but he was starting to understand. He tilted his head watching the tv. He turned around to look at her again when she started to ask questions and he shook his head. "Fine" he told her.

"Mmm...okay." she figured it'd be safe enough to let him learn from the television for a bit, while she worked on getting together some sort of space for him to rest. Takeshi would most likely be a guest here, at least for a little while, and she felt the need to make things look a bit neater.

Takeshi looked back at the tv watching it. He was very mesmerized by the colors and the events going on as he watched his ears twitching slightly every now and then.

Once she felt the guest bedroom was clean enough, Rae realized that she'd probably have to buy some clothes with Takeshi. He couldn't just wear the same thing every day, and he had absolutely nothing on him but the clothes that were hung up to dry in the basement for the time being. Taking out her laptop, she sat on the couch, making sure he didn't sit too close to the tv. It was big enough, after all. Her slim fingers tapped on the keys, looking up information on Nekos. Maybe she could find something out.

Takeshi kept his focus on the tv and moved away when he was told to move back. He watched tv and looked back at her curious as to what she was doing but went back to watching the tv.

Some of what she found troubled her. There was stuff like the stories on Nekos, and most of the internet made it quite clear that they didn't exist anywhere but in the imagination of artists and storybooks. Inhabiting some cat-like traits, Nekos seemed to be quite intelligent indeed...then how was he possible? "Hey, will you be alright if I go out for a bit?" get some food, clothes, and maybe he'd understand a little more English when she got back.

Takeshi .paid close attention to the way the people acted and talked trying to learn what he could from them. It was so interesting the way the people acted especially men and women. He looked back at Read when he asked her a question and nodded. "Yes"he told her and looked back at the tv.

"Okay. I set up the guest room, so I suppose you can use that. It's up the stairs and to the left, and it'll be the door on the left. The one on the right's my room, right across the hall." she pointed to where the stairs were, indicating the directions."Hopefully I won't have to un-glue you from the TV..." Rae shook her head and put on her helmet and a waterproof jacket, then some black boots. "Be good! she added as she left, getting on her motorcycle. Hopefully he was of drinking age if he found the liquor. And hopefully nothing would be broken when she got back.

Takeshi turned around again to look at her since she had not finished talking. He listened as she told him where his room was and nodded. He watched her put on more clothes and weird boxy circle thing on her head and leave. He watched the tv and watched as a couple talked about saying thank you and began to kiss and got up before he saw anything else. He explored the house again wondering what other things there were. He had never been in a place like this. He usually stayed in a small cage until it was time to get experiments done. He had quite a few scars from incisions and other things on his abdomen and back and chest. He crawled around and then a window caught his eye. He crawled over to it and looked around outside but hiding if he saw any people afraid of getting caught. He pressed his ears against his head so that they were hidden in his hair and kept his tail hidden under the small shirt. He crawled away and looked around more not really touching anything. He went upstairs but realized people didnt crawl so he stood straight and walked normally. It felt odd but it was what people did. He sat in the room she told him was his. "So this is where i stay" he said to himself having picked up a lot pretty quickly from watching tv.

Rae really hoped that he wouldn't get into any trouble. Or go searching her room. There weren't really many things that she would miss if they were stolen, but it would be odd. If he was as innocent as he seemed, he might be running around with a bra over his ears. So she bought several different hats for him. Nothing he'd stick out in. Then some more food, and a few clothing items roughly in his size before starting to head back to her house.
