Saichion stared at the boy name Cyrus with a sneer distorting her face, making her look less than friendly to his light banter to calling them inmates. The nerve she thought, that this rookie guard dared to make a mockery of their imprisonment with so much less than batting an eye-lash. She had half a mind to reach through the bars & let a horrible hallucination unfold upon him for his insensitivity.
No matter. Her rationality won over her. He has every right not to believe them & make a fool of himself with his naivety. She wondered just how little he knew of this, 'orphanage,' & cruelty towards it's inhabitants within. Strolling up to the window to get closer to study his face, she said in a condescending tone, "Why whatever do you mean? Flowers floating? How ridiculous! You should go have your head examined by one of the doctors here. Granted though...you might not come back."

Eva Experiment 13886
Eva watched the exchange between Saichion and the strange boy, hanging back when her friend stepped up to the window. Eva was prepared to push with all her might on the occasion that she may need to fling the boy from the window with her ability. It would take a lot out of her, but Eva was determined not to let Saichion get hurt if Eva could prevent it. With her teddy bear hood still up, Eva crouched slightly and backed Saichion up.
"She's right. You won't come back... they need people with brains to study." Smiled a small smile at her own slight expression of bravery - or maybe she was just being mean.
............Cyrus frowned at the girl with strange lavender hair. He crossed his arms and took a step back, wondering if having a lack of parents is what made her so rude. Then her small little friend decided to drop her two cents and this made Cyrus roll his eyes. He wasn't a mean person, but they sure weren't shy with pushing the limit with him.
"Yea ok. Sure." He said and waved them off. He left the flowers on the sill and turned away. "Whatever." With that he continued his round. His mind was still pondering a few unanswered questions, and most of it was chopped up to their strange behavior. It was no wonder they were in trouble... if they were in trouble - they were kind of rude. Still yet, Cyrus was going to ask his parents about this the next morning at breakfast.

~Saichion~
Saichion watched the boy carefully as he excused himself from the window, with tension slowly easing it's grasp from her body. She wasn't used to her defensive behavior being so strong and venomous, but Eva would have been 'disciplined' if it were any other guard who had caught the sight of it. Then the white coats would have heard after the guard reported it, and harmed Eva more with relentless testing until she went numb, thinking she could go longer than they had originally thought. Or worse, they could have completely re-evaluated her endurance levels, and considered her more viable for prolonged periods of experiments, until she fried her mental state.
The whole thought of such possible outcomes had Saichion shaking in anger, at how she had to worry over the safety of Eva, because others did not see her as a child. Eva that eats, sleeps, breathes, cries, smiles, and constantly wants to have fun, like any normal kid, all because to others she is not considered a child. She is simply a number on a paper. A number that doesn't need to be cared for, or worried about. A number that can disappear at any moment, and be forgotten.
Saichion closed her eyes and took in a deep long, calm breath, before opening them again, to be sure the glow in them didn't radiate any longer with her anger. Maybe the boy didn't mean intentional harm with his presence, but simple concern over them. Especially if he was as naive about this place as he sounded. She then slightly turned herself back to stare at the little brave worn Eva, who stood up for her during the little confrontation though, as if she could take on a thousand of guards on her own. A smile danced over Saichion's face at the thought of it. A cute, teddy bear hooded Eva, taking on S.E.C guards with an expression of pure bravery, and beating them all until she was free. Free to pick as many flowers as she see's fit.
"Eva," Saichion said with serene sincerity,"Promise me that if you ever become free of this place, you will keep picking flowers until there are no more. And that no matter what mean people say or do, you keep just being a brave teddy bear warrior."
Eva stared up at Saichion with big eyes, her words being a bit dramatic and scary to the young girl. She made it seem like she wouldn't be joining Eva in freedom, and that left a small pit of fear in her stomach that twisted painfully. With one hand on her stomach she nodded to Saichion.
"We can pick them together." She said softly, and sitting down. Suddenly the small girl was very tired. "Saichion, sleep with me?" She sort of asked and told the lavender haired girl as she patted the spot next to her. Before she knew it though, as soon as Eva rested her head on her crossed arms, the young girl was sound asleep.

Cyrus The Guard
............A few hours later, Cyrus was finally off the clock, and as usual his father was waiting just outside the perimeter of the orphanage grounds ready to take him home.
"Father?" Cyrus asked.
"Yes?" His father replied in his usual stiff way. Cyrus always got the impression that his parents didn't like him that much. They avoided him a lot, but maybe that was normal for parents to do.
"So I was keeping a look out as I'm supposed to and then like in this window, these little orphans were sleeping on the ground. Why don't they have beds?" He asked as subtly as possible. His father stiffened visibly and cast Cyrus a glance before pulling over on the side of the road and stopping the car.
"Why were you peeking in the windows?" His father asked, turning towards with his an elbow on the steering wheel. Cyrus was taken aback by the ferocity of his tone and stuttered out a response.
"I just thought I heard voices..." He said, deciding to leave out the floating flowers he would swear he had seen. His father looked him over, judging his answer methodically.
"Look Cyrus. Your job is outside of the buildings. You have no business snooping around inside. If I so much as hear about you looking inside again you will be punished severely." His words shook Cyrus to the core so with a soft 'yes, sir' they continued on back home. Cyrus couldn't really recall a time where he felt afraid of his parents, or even suspicious. Sure they often had what one could call odd behavior, but this was the first time that Cyrus suspected something was not right about them. Or at least about his father...
~Timeskip - next morning/day~
The next morning, when Cyrus went down to breakfast his mother dropped a thick text book on the table next to his plate. He looked up at her, but her strict gaze caused him to avert his eyes nervously.
"You're off work tonight so I want you to study this text book, and read as much as you can. You will be tested on it tomorrow afternoon." Cyrus nodded weakly, knowing that his father had probably talked to her about what he had said last night. What he didn't understand was why they were so damn angry about it. In his eyes it wasn't a big deal at all. So after they left for work, Cyrus cleaned his breakfast dishes and headed up to their study where a clue as to their behavior might be found. Sure he was snooping and sneaking around in a room that his parents expressly forbade, but frankly it was their fault for acting the way they were. He wouldn't be curious if he just understood.
Maternally, Saichion moved Eva to be resting slightly on her shoulder so she'd wake without a crink in her neck. Her mind drifted warily about the boy who had been on duty near their unit, and wondered why he tried to tease them. Or if he were telling any truth at all with his dumbfound expression. She squinted at the ceiling then, as if it would answer the question for her, by simply making a yes or no appear. To no avail, however, it did not.
She then began to ponder over how Batty was doing with her tests. She hoped they didn't ruin her as much as they usually liked to do, because of her running mouth. Sighing to herself, she closed her eyes in annoyed patience, already knowing the answer was the latter of her prayers. She could never tell why Batty kept smiling afterward either, and antagonized them even more so when she had just returned. Hence her given name being that in correlation with her actions. Saichion had been more in favor of originally naming Batty Stupid, but no one else thought it fit well enough with her firey spirit.
Sleep began to dance over Saichion's eyes then, when she imagined Batty returning tomorrow. Someone had to scold her for being picked for the second time in a row, or at least attempt to keep her from going a third time.

~*~Batty~*~
[made an uh oh edit by mistake....Don't judge meh crying]
Eva stirred awake the next morning, having cuddled tightly to Saichion during the night. When she finally woke up she was greeted by Batty's voice and she broke out into a relieved grin. Batty had ended up leaving before Eva yesterday, and still yet Batty was gone longer which left Eva to worry something fierce.
"Batty!" She exclaimed and stood going over to her friend. "I did miss you! Yes, yes!" Then as she got closer she noticed Batty's injuries. "oh Batty..." She said in a soft voice lowered in concern as she crouched in front of Batty. She grabbed one of the rolls of bandages that rested near Batty and by her own body language she offered to help.

~Saichion~
Saichion was stirred awake by the sound of the cell door slamming, and even more so, the absence of a little Eva body from beside her. She jumped to her feet then, with adrenaline coursing through her with worry and alertness. Until she saw batty shrouding herself in a corner with a little Eva nearby.
Saichion sighed to herself in both relief and tiredness at the two catching up. That was before she noticed Batty's own little dark swimming pool forming itself in a perfect circle around her. Using her Psyche, abilities Saichion examined the wounds they had done onto Batty on a spirit level. The menacing aura of Batty's didn't seem whole, In fact it seemed less, than usual. She squinted to look harder then, to see what exactly they had done to her. Each wound began to glow then around the miasma that was Batty's energy. "What did they do to you?" she whispered in disbelief. "If they are now attacking through energy levels, we'll become toast!"
"Awwwwwwwwwwww," Batty ooed to Eva, when she saw her offering to help. "You have to learn to bandage wrap. You would be the most kind nurse to everyone with that heart of your's," she exclaimed. Batty was just about to take the little one up on her offer to help, when Saichion's voice chirped into her skull.
She eye rolled dramatically to make light of the situation, "We will not become toast. So stop being so over dramatic when you look at me, or Im'a shadow whoop some sense back into you." Calmly and matter-of-factly she said, "Plus, they only went this far because I took down a guard, and that made them need to break out the big boy stuff. Things were personal because a man was down and all. But it's okay now, since everybody who had a problem pretty much had their turn with 'Whack the Batty Fest'."
She watched ease roll over Saichion at her words. Batty then wondered how Saichion was doing, if she were getting so tensed up so easily. Deciding to herself that she'd talk about it later with her possibly, she re-focused on the little one before her.
"So tell me, how was yesterday for you," Batty asked, while dropping the shadow shield she had placed around herself. She started to create strips of shadows -like that of the bandages- so the ones she obtained would stay clean for someone else. Granted, it did take a little more energy out of her to use the shadows as bandages, but she felt more content knowing the physical wrappings would be of more use for someone else. Handing a shadow wrap to Eva, she said, "If it was a bad day you don't have to say anything. I'll just examine your throat to see if they made any serious damages, in return for helping me wrap up my bloody mess so I don't make the room smelly."

Eva Experiment 13886
Eva beamed at Batty proudly. "you really think so?" She asked already sitting down in a very childlike way and unrolling some of the bandages. Eva quietly disregarded Batty's getting onto Saichion, as this was a usual occurrence, and took it upon herself to take Batty's forearm and start wrapping in a careful, but loose wrapping. When the older girl turned her attention back on Eva, the youngest took off with what had happened last night without a second thought.
"No no! Yesterday... last night a boy stopped by the window when I was picking flowers. He was weird and made fun of us, but I told him that he had no brain." Barely catching her breath Eva continued after she finished wrapping Batty's arm and sitting back to look up at her. "And Saichion told him off to. She scared him away and he was like 'whatever'" Eva mimicked the boy's voice perfectly as always.
Elijah slowly woke up still a bit drowsy from his deep sleep all thanks to Saichion of course. He's been having terrible nightmares recently, and he wasn't sure why. His powers didn't even involve forethought or anything of the such. Instead, this unique little boy could control electricity. Even the tiny electrical pulses that run through an organism's nervous system. When the scientists come to get him, he always can tell because they use a tight rubber box and ridiculous rubber gloves to handle him, and he never made it easy. His abilities work by touch, even if it's just a strand of hair. He can take and give electrical power to just about anything, but naturally anything too big tests his limits, draining him of the energy necessary.
The boy, small for his 16 years sits up and rubs his eyes, smiling over at Batty, Eva, and Saichion.
"Morning guys." He greets, not bothering to stand and joining them. Their cell was small enough, and felt even smaller with all of them crammed in it together.

~*~Batty~*~
Taken aback by Eva's report, Batty stilled instantly in shock. She wasn't too frightened by the occurrence, but more bewildered, since she knew no one really ever bothered coming to the window to talk to them. Heck, she was also surprised Saichion didn't say anything about it earlier, in her little melt-down.
Taking a deliberately pouted breath, to lighten the news with humor, Batty said, "So, while I was away you were flirting with boys at the window, being meanies? That's so not fair! I always wanted to be mean to a boy at the window." Acting hurt Batty crossed her arms & grumbled under her breath, "I need to stay home more often so I can teach him a thing or too. Ain't no body coming up to our room window while I'm away. MmMM, no." Batty paused for a moment, & asked last minute, "He didn't know you were the one picking flowers right?"
"Mornin'," Saichion greeted Elijah non-nonchalantly."What was the nightmare about last night?" she asked as casually as she could.
She knew it was risky to inquire about the dreams some of them had, but to talk it out was her way of giving them a sort of therapy.
Saichion stared at Elijah closely, waiting for the boy to respond, while reading his psyche levels. She could see he was physically stable enough, with his unique power making her eyes hurt from it's brightness. However, his mental state seemed a bit leery from what she considered his normal, with it slightly dimmed where his head were.
