The last book turned out to be much drier than the other three, but she was not complaining in the least. This was her kind of writing, factual, to-the-point and without the flowery phrases.

Unfortunately she was feeling rather tired of all this reading and fell asleep rather soon after beginning the book.

Waking with a start, she was rather disappointed to find that she'd actually fallen asleep in the middle of working on the assignment. This wouldn't do; she had come this far, and she needed to finish what she'd set out to do.

So it was back to the book.

Reading about the author, it only confirmed what she'd already suspected; these creeple were all linked.

Still, she didn't seem to be getting much else out of the book.

2 - You leaf through the glossary, looking for clues. There's an entire chapter dedicated to Selena Mayard, but unlike the entries before and following, it's unusually harsh, and seems to focus a lot on her personal life and her inability to 'let go'. You've found a clue! 2/3

Finally she came to the chapter on Selena Mayard and again the threads seemed to be coming together; going off of how dry the rest of the book had been, this was veritably emotional. And not, she suspected, a positive emotion.

Reading it seemed to only reveal more of the same - she was pretty sure in her case, now.

Still she kept going back to things she'd already read, just to be absolutely sure she'd gotten all the clues she could from it.

Maybe there was something she'd missed, though; she wanted to be absolute certain she'd got it all before writing the assignment.

Finally she found what she thought to be last confirmation of her theory. That and she was utterly done reading for the day; now to write her assignment.

1. Mother Goose, William McAdams, Selena Mayard and Francine Stein

2. Mother Goose is Francine Stein's mother, as well as William McAdams' mother-in-law.
William McAdams is Francine Stein's fiance, Selena Mayard's ex-husband and Mother Goose's son-in-law.
Selena Mayard is McAdams' ex-wife and antagonistic towards Mayard.
Francine Stein is Mother Goose's daughter, McAdams' fiance and antagonistic towards Mayard.

3. McAdams' is a hair fetishist, Stein is a former burlesque artist and Mayard has not gotten over her ex-husband.

4. Mother Goose: scareling book writer. McAdams: artist and fetishist. Mayard: teen fiction writer. Stein: accomplished non-fiction author.
