Kaiya immediately put up barriers around her comrades, protecting them from most ranged attacks but it had its limit. Concentrating she used a root spell to snare the mages, "That spell won't last for long, maybe 30 seconds!" she shouted at Soko. Next she used ice magic that formed into little spears and aimed for the trucks.

As Soko sped up, Cale turned the barrel away and cease firing to prevent hitting his own comrade. As the red orbs from mages began to come his direction, he disregarded his rifle completely to aim his arm forward and focus on magic cancellation. Several of the orbs in his path began to disappear before reaching him, and only a couple came close. "Roger Roger." Cale turned his bike sharply, taking a large arc around the convoy and accelerating til he was behind the trucks.

“Thirty seconds is all I need!” she shouted, thrusting her hand out towards the mages. The wind picked up, until it became a full fledged tornado. Careful to avoid Soko and Cale, Kaylee directed the tornado to the mages, hoping to distract them from the men. Consequently, she was able to also suck up some of the orbs into her vortex, and she focused on keeping the wind in check. Hopefully that would be enough to help her friends.

Soko Ducked his head as Kaylee whipped up a massive vortex centered upon the supply convoy that had turned out to be a ambush.... he had a bit of a smirk as two of the vehicles caught a spark upon leaking fuel and engulfed themselves in flames quickly snuffed by the raging wind around them. as he looked up his smirk was wiped away, replaced with a look of shear horror from inside the vortex a large silhouette could be seen, four eyes like burning coals piercing through the dust and debris like sick tormented lanterns... Soko could only think enough to yell"DEMON!!!! as a massive blue fist with sickly green talon-like nails slammed down towards him, disrupting the wind enough to dissipate Kaylee's spell.......as the dust clears the scene before them is gruesome, shredded bodies mangled and gnarled, and in the center a blue human like figure standing two stories tall with arms longer than it was tall sickly green teeth hair and talon like nails, and four eyes like burning coals, and Soko Scythe drawn standing ten inches from the creatures smallest finger a look of disgust on his face..."Cale?" he spoke into his com-set, voice trembling"we are making this abomination into mince meat and returning to sender... got that!? as with that he swung cleaving through flesh and bone like butter, before walking towards the shocked looking creature at a steady pace, to his comrades the gravity magic based spells he was using would be easily discerned though he would only be able to hold them effective for about a minute and a half...more than enough time to give Cale a opening to calculate and negate the spell that had summoned it.

Kaiya was certainly surprised to see a huge demon appear but she had to shake that feeling and focus, "Rainstorm!" she called out and put her staff to the sky. A magic circle appeared above the demon and a storm of rain poured out, soaking him and the ground around him, making him more vulnerable to lightning based attacks. She raised the defense and attack power of her group using the Growth spell.

Riding along the last truck in the convoy, Cale jumped from his bike onto driver's door, breaking through the window with the butt of his pistol. "Hi there! I'm borrowing this." he exclaimed to the bewildered driver, aiming to strike him with the butt, only to have the truck come to a halt as an explosion occurred. Finishing the blow, Cale looked ahead to see smoke filling the area in front, and a demon rising up. Cale pulled out the driver, shooting him as Soko called him again. "Ya ya, keep your panties on." Cale stomped on the accelerator, charging the truck through the smoke to hit the demon's legs from behind.

There was only a second for her to register what Soko had yelled before the demon broke her tornado. Closing her eyes and shielding her face from he blast, she waited until it died down for her to look at the abomination. ”That is one ugly motherf--” was all she was able to get out before everyone else started their counter attack. Breaking out her collapsible staff, she ran towards the demon, muttering an incantation under her breath. Drawing water from Kaiya’s spell, she drew it into the pole arm before running at the monster. Giving a cry, she leaped into the air, slashing at the demon’s back. As she did so, she formed a high pressured stream of water from the tip of her staff, so that it cut through the demon’s hide. Landing, she had to jump back as Cale came barreling in with the truck. ”Oi watch it!”

Soko had just made it to about ten feet in front of the demon when Kaylee focused the water from kaiya spell into a high pressure just and Cale rammed the back of its legs the combination of the two bring the grotesque being to it's knees, Soko released his gravity magic and looked up his eye catching the demons,"Any last requests, before we send you back to your abyssal pit of a home?" he asked mockingly...the demon answered, very surprisingly with a guttural tone that sent would chill even the bravest man to the bone, and a shivers down their spine.
"hehehe.... you have no idea the hell to come?" before ripping his own heart out with his remaining hand his body engulfing in blue green flames as it slump to the ground...
Soko stood there his face a mixture of shock and concern, he was obviously deeply disturbed by this whole turn of events, demon of this persuasion were thought incapable of articulation, or complex thought considering they were only known as a sort of drone needing a high demon to command them properly, cleaning his scythe with a quick flash of fire Soko turned on his heel and walked straight towards kaiya and the small truck they and procured for transporting the dirt bikes... his face was ghostly pale and he was muttering something to himself, Soko jumped in the bed of the truck taking a seat of the tool bax secured to the bed of the truck against the cab....

Kaiya sighed in relief as the demon killed himself. It was a little startling to see it kill himself but if thats what he wanted then fine. She climbed in the truck bed with Soko and sat right next to him, "You did great. Amazing as always."she looked up at him with her hands in her lap, her cheeks a slight shade of pink.

Kaylee yelped as the demon burst into flame, retreating farther back. Having been close enough to hear what it had said, chills went down her spine. She silently followed Soko and Cale back to the truck, but she rubbed her arms as if to ward off some sort of chill. Taking a glance at Soko, she knew she wasn't alone in that feeling. She climbed into the passenger seat, leaving the two in back alone. The implications of the demons words alone sent another chill through her, and she shivered involuntarily. Having seen the effect it had on Soko, Kaylee knew it did not bode well for them.

Slamming the truck into the demon, Cale braced for the impact, and by the time he regained control of the truck and retrieved his pistols, Soko was finishing off the demon. "Damn. Can't think of any good catchphrases... Oh well." He gave a shrug, holstering his weapons, cleaning the seat of debris. "Soko, I suggest you don't get any more bad feelings again." he said to the man as he climbed into the back. Letting Kaylee and Kaiya join, Cale shifted gears and steered the truck away from the area, unshaken despite the mess they left. "Thanks for the help K." he said, figuring if they rode in silence it would only be Soko and Kaiya who've exchanged words on the way back.

Soko looked up at kaiya his face a open book, he hated killing, hated violence but he also understood that pacifist could not protect, and as a tear rolled down his cheek he spoke in a somber voice"twenty seven died here today , twenty seven needless deaths, and for once no casualties due to Cale ....... heheh, I guess that is a good thing" he trailed off as he buried his head in his hands images of fire and chaos flashing before him avery now and again, the faces of those whose lives he took mixed in with the images.

they were about a mile out from base before he spoke again"thank you for putting up with me I couldn't ask for better comra....no a better family, you all did perfect as always, thank you he said shooting a beaming grin tring not o worry kaiya, but the events of tonight weighed heavily on his mind and Kaylee's too he could tell.............dark days lay ahead...

Kaiya was sad for him, she knew he didn't like killing and that could be a good thing. She would have taken his hand in her own but, she was too shy. She reached in her bag and pulled out something small, wrapped in a piece of plastic. She gave it to him, "Its chocolate, it helps." she took out another one and gave it to Cale. She smiled up at him, "The family I've never had."

Kaylee couldn’t help but smile as Cale broke the silence between them. ”Ah that was nothing. Glad no one got hurt this time.” She brushed off his thanks, the unease from the battle slowly fading. Hearing Soko talk, she couldn’t help but break the sappy moment. ”We’re one weird family. Still love you guys though.” Seeing Kaiya pass out chocolate made her pout a bit though. Especially after the whole family comment. ”Awww none for me Kaiya? Guess I just have to steal Cale’s then.” Kaylee joked.

Soko's smile softened, no longer forced, kaita always knew how to make his day and considering the recent quantity of work they had undertaken, chocolate was a much welcomed treat, No iit aws insame and anyone in their right mind would not charge a demon without heavy artillery and a backup plan for their backup plan he retorted to Kaylee, just before he reached out his hand to accept the small piece of comfort. his hands clammy, shaking and clumsy, definitely have overworked myself he thought to himself his glancing thought distracting him causing him to ,iss the chocolate and grab kaiya's hand instead, he sat for a moment looking a bit confused before turning cherry red and pulling his hand back turning away every so slightly all while muttering sorry, I wasn't.umm........didn't try too.......uhh thanks for the chocolate he hated how he always got so nervous around kaiya, and he could never figure out why..........
