[PRP] Hellbent [Lex/Taavi][Fin]

"Well...." Sasha was right, he couldn't send it back saying 'thanks but no thanks', that would be really rude and ungrateful. He wasn't ungrateful, he was very grateful! He just felt....

Taavi tried to shake off the uneasy feeling by squeezing Sasha's fingers and smiling. "Alright, you're right anyway. I'll just have to send her a really good thank you note!" And it wouldn't feel like enough but it was all he could do.

Taavi shrugged his way into the coat and smoothed his hands over the soft material and tried to get a glimpse of his reflection in the window. He always had a good coat for winter but not a coat like this; this was stylish, made for wearing around the city not scrabbling through the wilderness. He would never have thought of buying something like this for himself, a luxury rather than a necessity. It felt lovely.

"So, uh?" Taavi did a slow twirl, smiled a Sasha and tucked his hair behind his ears. "What do you think? Good?"  

[Shaddaling]

"I think you are smoking hot," Lex replied, licking his lips before leaning in and up to kiss Taavi and laughed slightly. "Mmhm, not that you aren't attractive all the time, but this is a good look on you," he murmured, running his fingers over the collar.

"Very... different."

That settled it then; Sasha liked it on him so he was keeping it. "Heh," Taavi grinned into the kiss and then gave Sasha a squeeze. "Um, well I'm glad you like it on me, I'll keep it on for when we go out then so long you think you can behave in public! Well mostly behave, a bit of not behaving is okay." Maybe he needed to update the rest of his look to go along with the coat.... Yeeeeah, because that was something he could afford. Maybe one day, when he got a decent job and a slightly better place to live he could think about dressing for something other than practicality and cheapness. What did you wear with a coat like this? He was going to have to look a websites and things, or just ask Sasha what he thought he should buy?... But again with the 'money' thing, it would have to stay window shopping for now.  

[Shaddaling]

"Mmhm, I promise to be mostly behaved," Lex drawled out, wiggling slightly against Taavi and gave a sassy wink. "Mmhm, and now it is time for the rest of the things."

He left long enough to fetch the two soft packages, offering them up to Taavi. "I got you these," he admitted. Inside Taavi would find a soft knitted scarf in deep blue and a set of knitted hand warmers in the same shade.

"Ooooh, snuggly!" Taavi beamed at Sasha as he put on the scarf and then then unfamiliar cut-off mitten type things, he'd seen people wear them but didn't really know what you called them. He had been in need of a new scarf, had he mentioned that to Sasha? He might have, he couldn't remember. "Thank you Sasha they're lovely," he paused to give Sasha a brief kiss, "and you're lovely too. Very. Um, thank you. And I said that! I am a broken record, heh." All of these things just for him from Sasha and his family, he'd never expected to feel so... so welcomed. "And, uh, seen as I am a broken record I'm allowed to say again that I'm really glad you came over, and thank you. I'll write notes for your mom and your sister, to say thank you properly to them. Could you have them delivered? Because I don't know where they live. Heh."  

[Shaddaling]

"I'm glad you like them! I was at one of the end of the season festivals with all the craft booths and thought they would look fabulous on you." He gave a happy sound at the kiss, and beamed.

"Ooh, I can. Crobat meets up with my moms Pidgeot to exchange packages and mail. Or we can hit up somewhere with free computer time and I can bring them up on Skype." Lex paused musing at his mother and sister meeting Taavi for face time over the net. "Or we can go with notes... "

"Iiiiii think notes might be best first," Taavi replied with a little laugh and a shrug. "Knowing me I would just fall over my words and say something stupid, if I'm writing notes I can think about it and not come off as a complete idiot to your family." The idea of meeting them face to face even over the internet was pretty intimidating, he'd never met a girl/boyfriend's family before and it was a pretty big deal right? Right. He wasn't sure if he was glad that he didn't have to worry about introducing Sasha to his own family or if he wished he could... maybe he wished he could, but only if things were different to how they were which didn't really make sense but there it was.

"Um, and, shall we go out now then?...." Taavi trailed off into silence as he remembered a rather important fact. "Uh, actually maybe I should have a shower first. I did just get out of bed. Heh." Yeah, having showers was something civilized people did, it was required. "But if you're really hungry we can just go? I did have a shower yesterday so I shouldn't be too stinky." He should at least brush his hair but if Sasha was hungry he didn't want to hold him up.  

[Shaddaling]

"Ooh, yeah," Lex paused, derailed for a moment and hummed. "Shower first and I can hang with 'Tron and Swift for a bit. I can wait for a little bit." He decided. "Gives me a bit of time to figure out where the best sushi places are."  

[TawnyAngel]

"Okay, great, grab a drink or whatever if you want while you're waiting." Taavi gave Sasha another quick kiss on the cheek, stripped off his new outdoorwear and hung it carefully over the back of the couch before heading into the bathroom.

About fifteen minutes after he'd stepped into the bathroom Taavi stepped out again wearing his jeans but sans his shirt. "I'm going to be clean and civilized and things and not wear the same shirt I have for the last three days," Taavi informed Sasha, wondering even as he said it if it might actually have been four days. Oh well. He grabbed a clean t-shirt from his closet at random - it was plain forest green - and pulled it on. "Okay, let me get my shoes on and stuff and I'm ready to go! Also I'm getting pretty hungry."  

[Shaddaling]

Lex claimed the couch, sprawling out as he started to trudge through the web for the best sushi place nearby. He beamed, looking back and waved. "Civilzaiton exists to make us spend money on laundry soap," he chirped back, and decided on a restaurant.

He got up and tucked his phone away and ambled over to Taavi. "I have a place in mind, and it isn't to far away."  

[TawnyAngel]

"So that's what it's all about," Taavi replied with a grin as he kicked into his sneakers. "I should have seen it, the laundry soap overlords pulling the strings in the background. I am a slave to their great plan! But I like not smelling bad so I guess I'm err, what do you call it? A willing victim?" He felt like there was a specific word that fitted what he wanted to say but he couldn't remember what it was, and he might in fact have just imagined it.

Once he had his new warm winter gear back on too Taavi gestured to the door. "Lead the way then! I could probably do with the walk and, you know, going outside in general." He was pretty sure he'd feel better for getting out, he just hadn't had the motivation to do it on his own.  

[Shaddaling]

Lex gave a thoughtful hum, thinking it over. "Mmhm, that is a point," he admitted and cheerfully tangled their fingers together. "But then, they don't have to make civilization necessaries so damn expensive."

He gave an easy grin and started to lead Taavi towards his chosen restaurant. "So, how well do you think an Zoroark would learn sign language? Because I been debating on learning it to teach 'Tron."

"It would be nice if life was less expensive," Taavi agreed with a wry smile; it was a subject that was worrying him a lot at the moment. It didn't seem fair, how some people had so much without even working for it while other people worked their asses off and still struggled to get by. There was a lot to say for socialism in his opinion but he knew it wasn't a very popular opinion so he didn't say so aloud. What he said instead was -

"Sign language?... I suppose it would depend on the Zoroark really, individual pokemon vary a lot in how much they value," he gestured vaguely, "human things, if they're not that into them they won't focus well enough to learn something that complicated. I don't think I've heard of a pokemon being taught official sign language but that doesn't mean it's impossible. I didn't know you could sign yourself, when did you learn? And why? I mean not that it's not cool but um, it's unusual and learning a whole other language - especially something like signing - takes a long time and a lot of effort!" He was assuming Sasha could sign himself if he was talking about teaching Tron anyways.  

[Shaddaling]

"Be interesting to try... and nope, it would be a learning opportunity for us both," Lex admitted. "I just started to think about it being a possibility for him to be more independent. Sign language is something he could do by himself if he took to it. Communicate with others."

"Just a thought, really." He hadn't asked Tron yet what he thought since they were still working on standard movements. Zoroarks while bipedal had a different movement.

"Oooh, right," Taavi nodded understanding. "Well it sounds like it would be really useful yeah! I mean, if he could learn it then the two of you could talk right? That would be cool. Um, I don't know how much use it would be to him in everyday life though - I mean it's not commonly err 'spoken'? Used. But, yeah, official places often have somebody who can sign or uh, at the Ranger station back in Hoenn we had a service where we could skype to a translator if we needed to so that's a thing. I like the idea of a pokemon being able to just interact with the human world like that, not needing a 'trainer' and all that."
