[Aulus: AREA 2: Taking rock]

"Hu, nickle iron..." Aulus murmured to himself as he scanned the article, it looked about the same as the bloody great rock in front of him but why had the thing been burning green as it came down? Green was not a colour he associated with meteors but he was damned if he was going to say that to anyone in case he was completely wrong and they were only orangeish whiteish in movies. Happily he had a tool on hand - har har - to help him in his investigation.

Aulus moved closer to the rock and clicked aside a cover on the back of his hand, revealing a scanner which he pointed at the large rock for several seconds until a gentle vibration told him the sample was complete. Aulus flipped the cover closed again and confirmed a command on his arm screen that would send the information to base for automatic analysis; Tambery had been right, this was as useful addition.

While he waited for the results to come back to him Aulus took another walk around the rock, studying its every surface in minute detail. This thing. This sodding thing. This thing had been flying through space! How amazing was that? Preoccupied by staring at the big shiny rock as he was Aulus didn't notice a small one at his feet, the toe of his boot caught the small object and sent it bouncing away a few feet. Aulus grunted to himself and walked over to pick it up; here was his physical sample he guessed though he'd happily take another too if he found it.

A pokémon popped out! It's a normal Voltorb!

[Aulus: AREA 2: Not taking Voltorb]

The info still hadn't come back yet, not that it had been that long, and so Aulus occupied himself by crouching down beside the meteorite and starting to dig down beside it to see if he could find out how deep it went into the sand.

He hadn't been at it very long when a buzzing noise to his right drew his attention, a Voltorb had rolled up and was regarding the strange rock with as much interest as he was himself. "You and me both," he said to the orb-shaped pokemon; it twisted towards him and buzzed what he chose to take for agreement not 'wow I suddenly feel like exploding'.

"It came from space, and it's got a lot of iron and nickel in it I think," Aulus went on, seen as the Voltorb seemed interested and Red most definitely was not - nor would anyone else he had along be most likely. "Did you see it come down?"

The Voltorb buzzed once more but Aulus couldn't tell if it meant no, yes, or 'sure is a nice day to go up in a fireball taking some of your remaining natural limbs with me'. Hopefully one of the first two.

A pokémon popped out! It's a green Mareep!

[Aulus: AREA 2: Taking Mareep]

Aulus had been about to say something else to the Voltorb when a flash of movement out of the corner of his eye grabbed his hindbrain and made him spin around, hand flying to the first pokeball on his belt. A moment later the rest of his brain caught up and registered a small, fluffy, and most of all very green Mareep peering at him from around the corner of the meteorite.

Green light, green sheep; coincidence? Probably but maybe not, it was certainly worth expending a pokeball to find out and if it was only a normal - if green - Mareep it would still have its uses. Aulus' hand moved quickly on again to grab a quickball from his pocket, which he then hurled at the Mareep with a practised flick of his wrist.

[Aulus: AREA 2]

"Hu, well there you go then," Aulus said as he wandered over to pick up the pokeball. He then turned to Red, who was sunning herself, and folded his arms over his chest. "And where were you when I was possibly getting zapped to death by a... A Voltorb, a Mareep, and a Joltik. This place is drawing in electric types?" Aulus gave the hunk of rock a very thoughtful look, it wasn't as though you founded hoards of electric pokemon in the desert usually so what was it about this rock from space that was attracting them? "Magnetism or...?" Aulus scowled and wished not for the first time that he remembered more from his A-Level science classes, or that he'd read more independently since. Where was that chemical analysis? Aulus waved his arm around and scowled. "C'mon, have you not got any signal or anything?" Their tech always had signal, so maybe it was just taking a while.

[Zev: AREA 3: The Debris Field]

He slithered off the Dragonair and lay on his back groaning. "How is anyone supposed to ride one of you?" There was nothing to hold onto other than neck, the creatures were all neck!

Scully looked down at Zevran and flared her nostrils. <>

Zevran propped himself up on one elbow and grinned cheekily at the dragon. "Whatever that was I did not understand so I choose to take it as a compliment. Humm, but this is it then?" There was rocky debris scattered across the sand, which he assumed was not the normal state of affairs. "Let's take a look about shall we?" he suggested as he clambered to his feet and dusted himself off.

Scully flicked the end of her tail and slithered alongside Zevran as he set off. <> she said; Taavi had been rather specific.

[ Lexxie - AREA 1 ]

After meeting her Kira back at the meteor, Kira looked surprise at the marowak on her back. He barked, sounding concerned. "I have the marowak stabled for now. Now let's see if there are any life forms that are buried underneath or...possibly IN the meteor. Then we have to more on to are two."

Kira barked in understanding and make quick work in trying to detect any injured pokemon.

A pungent, very curious pokémon popped out! It's a normal Grimer!

There was nothing inside any of the small meteorites (the bigger one already missing from Area 1) but metal, stone, and some strange green flecks. There were also no pokémon beneath the meteorites, but upon checking underneath them, a very curious pokémon popped out from the other side of the area! It's a normal Plusle!

[Zev, area 3, not taking grimer ]

As Zevran sauntered forward a faint smell caught at his senses, but soon it was not so faint anymore and he turned to Scully with his nose crinkled in amused disgust. "¡Was that you?" he exclaimed. "You could at least apologise you know- ¡What is that?" A pokemon he assumed, it had eyes and it was sliming its way towards him. "Oh no, not a chance," Zevran said firmly as he grabbed a couple of pokeballs from his belt; Amigo and Vision appeared and Zevran pointed to the purple horror. "Go on, time for a battle!"

The battle didn't take too long; once the smelly pokemon looked woozy and turned to retreat Zevran signalled his pokemon to let it be. "How unpleasant," he muttered as he watched it ooze away.

Scully snorted. <> she grumbled in offended tones.

[ Lexxie, Moving to AREA 2, NOT keeping Plusle ]

Lexxie, after giving aid to plusle which had minor scratches, moved on to the next area.

The area seemed to be much smaller than the first one, so the go around would be quick.

Adjusting the Marowak across her back, she pulled out a pokeball and called out Makoto. "Come on out girl!"

Makoto made a cry of delight from being out of her pokeball...but then gasped as she saw the accident. "Hiya girl. So listen, I need you and Kira to search around the meteor for pokemon. Since the area is smaller, I'll search around it. I'll meet you at the end of the clearing. Go!"

And with that, they split up once again.

A curious pokémon, perhaps attracted by the battle, popped out! It's a normal Beldum!

An uninjured pokémon, curious about the other pokémon seemingly riding a human, popped out! It's a normal Ponyta!

[Aulus: AREA 2: Booby prizes only please]

At long last (alright, after a minute or two) Aulus' arm buzzed as the report on the meteorite came in. Aulus read it. He frowned and read it again. Unknown? What? Was something up with the system, or his scanner maybe? Just in case it was neither he forwarded the read out along with a very brief summary of his position, observations, and actions so far to the e-drop. He then took the rock he'd picked up earlier out of his pocket again and studied it; yep, same stuff. He tossed it into the air casually and caught it again before returning it to the pocket. While he waited to see if he would receive any instructions in response to his intel Aulus moved a bit away from the large rock to take some pictures of it in perspective of the lanscape.
