Days past since the SummerSlam pay-per-view and fans were still talking about the outcomes of many select matches. Despite the odds, Neville prevailed and retained his title against two ruthless opponents. Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins reclaimed his TNWR Championship, and even had a few choice words on Monday Night Raw. But tonight, tonight was iMPACT. People were waiting for how Aleks Mason would publicize his championship victory, especially after the TNWR DRAFT made it so he was not the sole champion on the brand. Weeks before SummerSlam, Mason was bragging about the fact that when he won he would be the sole champion, but now the landscape of iMPACT has changed. Earlier in the evening, Aleks had arrived to the arena in style. He arrived once again in a black SUV and sported a full black suit and dark sunglasses. He exited the SUV, and grabbed his bags. Before walking away, he slung the UNIVERSAL TITLE over his shoulder. Mason walked through the parking lot area to get to the actual inside of the arena. Aleks was escorted to his private locker room, which now sported a name plate on the door. He smiled at the look of it, before retreating in and waiting for the show to begin. Mason had a television placed in his locker room so that he could be aware of what was going on in the show. A few tweets came into his phone to let him know of a call out by a certain Samoan wrestler. Mason laughed to himself thinking about it, but he would move on. Tonight, Aleks was opening the show with a promo as he saw on a match card that was left in his locker room. 15 minutes before the show began, Mason would leave his locker room with the championship in hand. Mason walked around the arena to make it to the Gorilla Position. He talked around with some producers, mainly about his promo. 5 minutes before the show, Mason would ask a referee to wrap the Universal Championship around his waist. Aleks thanked him, and closed his suit jacket so that the title was not seen. Minutes passed and Mason stood by the curtain to go out there. Firework warning was given, and half the people in Gorilla covered their ears. Fireworks shot into the air and fans began to chant signaling the beginning of the show. A few minutes was dedicated for the announcers to welcome the fans, as well as shots to show them going wild. Once all of that was done, it was Aleks Mason’s time.

“Blind” by Korn would serve as Mason’s theme music and it would play throughout the arena. His graphics appeared on the titantrons, minitrons, and various other screens around the arena. The song opened slow until the lead singer screeched the words, “ARE YOU READY?!” Following that, Mason would push through the black curtains into the lights and view of the many many fans in the arena. Aleks stood on the top of the ramp with a smile on his face as crowd members boo’d the champ. He unbuttoned his jacket, opening the sides up to reveal the Universal Championship which sat so elegantly around his waist. Mason would take a moment on the stage to twirl around, almost presenting himself as a gem, before making his way down the ramp. A few sell out fans would reach their hands out hoping to have some sort of interaction with Mason. However, he completely ignored him as he made his way down the ramp. The ring announcer would raise the microphone as she stood outside the ring, "Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome: The Universal Champion, Aleks Mason!" Mason stood at the bottom of the ramp, before turning to his left and making his way up the steel steps. He stood on the apron, with his right arm on the top rope. Aleks took a second to show his respect for the ring and the business by wiping his shoes on the mat before entering the ring through the ropes. Mason stood in the center of the ring, and would slowly and in style take off his black suit jacket. He tossed it out of the ring, and was handed a microphone which he held in his hand. A cube sleeve was on the microphone, with TNWR’s logo on it. However Mason would remove it and toss it out the ring. His theme music would fade away, and the fans’ boos became more noticeable. Mason would raise a single finger and press it against his lips, making a shushing motion. However that would just make the crowd more rowdy and loud. Mason would snap his fingers and a single spotlight would hit him as the rest of the arena became dark.

Aleks raised the microphone, and began to speak. ”I stand before you all, as a defier of odds, an immortal gladiator who will go down as history as the inaugural Universal Champion. And as your champion.. I’m not going to make little sly remarks like other champions on other shows are going to. Because I’m going to say it straight up.” Mason would look straight into the camera as he continued to speak, “Seth… Rollins!” As he said that name, fans would begin to cheer which only angered Mason. “Seth Rollins, if you really, actually, truly believe that you’re the most prestigious champion in this company, then you’re more delusional than your lunatic pal from back in the day. You sir, are not nearly the most prestigious champion in this company, or even on RAW. Which is funny.. Because you’re the only champion on RAW as it stands. And I know why.. I know why you’re the only champion over there. You’re the only champion on RAW because you wanted to feel like you were the most important little boy in the company, so you had your pal CM Punk send Neville over here with his title. You just weren’t happy with there being a better champion than you on your own show, so you used your connection with the boss to get rid of him. Not the first time you’ve used to connections and it won’t be the last. Seth, unlike you, I’m not going to sit here in this ring and tell everyone that I respect my opponent from SummerSlam. I’m not going to do that, because if I did I’d be lying. I don’t respect Randy Orton, I destroyed Randy Orton, I demolished Randy Orton. I embarrassed Randy Orton, the man who comes from a wrestling Dynasty. When you respect people in this industry, Seth, especially your opponent.. You relinquish your thrown at the top of the mountain, you become nothing but chum thrown into waters filled with sharks. Even with this championship around my waist I will continue to fight with the same determination and hunger that I have every single day of my life from TTW, to CWF, to TNWE, to this moment right here on iMPACT in TNWR. And I will not stop along the way to show any respect to my opponents, to the men in the locker room, or even to some clown of a champion who hides behind the lines of brand division. I am no KINGSLAYER or DESTROYER because I don’t need some foolish, silly nickname to solidify myself. Because simply put, I am dangerous. I’m a safety hazard to anyone who steps into the ring with me, because I don’t care about your well being. I’m not here just to subdue an opponent only for a three count. I’m here to win, and to end careers, and to claim my position in glory and prominence. I’m here to be the last man standing. I am here to be your first, and last ever Universal Champion. As far as I’m concerned there isn’t a single man backstage, on the iMPACT roster or the RAW roster that can hold their own against me in the ring. At five foot ten I single handedly put away The Undertaker.. Sent him to RAW in the process.. I put away Randy Orton.. I could put away any man who dares obstruct my path to immortality. Whosoever climbs the ladder to retrieve the briefcase be warned: don’t test your luck. Whether you’re from RAW, or you’re one of the men backstage tonight, don’t test your luck against Aleks Mason. You’ll think to yourself, ‘he’s down.. He’s hurt.. He just went through a war,’ but know that nothing can stop me from retaining and keeping hold of the Universal Championship. You’ve got better luck winning the lottery than better against Aleks Mason.” Mason would look up at the briefcase that hung above the ring and chuckled. His theme music would hit as he dropped the microphone. Before leaving the ring, Aleks would unbuckle the championship from around his waist and hold it up with a single hand. Mason would then throw it down near the ropes and exit the ring. He grabbed the title and slung it over his shoulder and walked up the ramp as the show faded away for a commercial break.
