╔═══════════════════ Her question in regard to getting her mark removed surprised him. Wasn’t that a mating mark? If it wasn’t, then why did she have such an obvious tattoo? It was puzzling and intriguing to him. “I don’t know a way of removing a tattoo…but it can always be covered up with a different mark.” He said with a small nod. It would have to be a bit bigger and much darker, but it was possible.
He smiled at her words, she really seemed to want to have him wear her clothes. He wasn’t a fancy man and he certainly didn’t think he’d necessarily wear them all that well, but she was the artisan. If she believed he would do her clothes justice, then he would wear the attire proudly. He was also touched by her offer to make work clothes for him. It was a sweet sentiment. “I will do my best to do the clothes you made, justice, M’Lady…and I will gladly take the offer for new work clothes. I am actually in need of some new shirts…and slacks.” He said a bit sheepishly. He would of course pay her for everything, he knew she had to make a living and he wasn’t freeloader.
When she further offered to cook for him, he felt his cheeks flush in a light blush. The more she spoke, the more he had to wonder if she was really mated to someone. It was one thing to thank someone for doing a good deed and it was another to court someone… “Your food is lovely, Leonora and…I would like to share a meal with you again sometime, if you’ll allow me.” Was he used to females ogling him while he worked? Yes. Was he used to them offering to make him clothes and food? Nope. He was a ‘look don’t touch’ type, it seemed. Women liked to keep him at a distance, and for good reason – he was bad luck.
As she took his hand and asked him not to leave, he felt his blush deepen and his mouth go dry. Nodding a bit, he offered her a small, sheepish smile. He wasn’t used to this. He could forge metal like no other, he was strong and capable, but when it came to females, especially lovely shifter females, he was weak. “I would love to be your friend, Leonora…truly. I want to get to know you better.” He truly did, she was a lovely woman and one that needed to be protected. If her ‘friend’ had let her down, he would step up and watch out for her in his place
He knew he needed to cheer her up. So, he blurted out the one thing he could think of. “Now, since I’m here…and the shop isn’t busy, why don’t you show me these clothes you’d like me to wear?” He said with a warm, friendly smile.

╔═══════════════════ Leon, a few shirts in hand, headed for the Floating Lotus. He felt a flutter in his chest with each step closer he came to the lovely little tailor shop. Leonora, after their chance encounter the day before, had insisted that she help him carry all the outfits she’d graciously given him as thanks for his good deed, back to his workshop. He could have easily handled taking them himself, but he couldn’t deny her request.
After placing all the outfits away, he’d given her a tour of his home and then his workshop, which was conveniently connected to his house. There had been a few things he’d needed to finish, and Leonora, interested in his work, had requested to stay and keep him company. Again, not one to deny a lovely shifter female, he’d agreed. They’d spent the evening talking by the warmth of his forge as he worked and eventually had shared a simple meal of roasted fish, potatoes and carrots together. He’d insisted on escorting her back to her shop afterwards with the promise that he would try on all of the outfits she’d provided once he returned home.
Now, he was heading back to the shop to bring her the items that hadn’t quite fit him. He was broader in the shoulders than most men – one of the ‘side effects’ of being a blacksmith. He was more muscular than most, given how much he worked with his hands, but Leonora hadn’t seemed to mind. He hoped, that she wouldn’t mind altering the shirts to fit better – the last thing he wanted to do was rip them.
As he opened the door to the Floating Louts, he was quick to close the door behind him to block out the cold. Looking towards the work table, he caught sight of a vision that nearly stopped his heart. The fluttering in Leon’s chest only got worse as she looked up at him and smiled. “Good Morning, Leonora…I hope I didn’t catch you at a bad time…” He said a bit sheepishly as he stood just within her shop.

╔═══════════════════ Leonora didn’t hesitate to come over to him when she caught sight of him. She uttered a quick ‘Good Morning’ before she got straight to business. Without another word her hands slipped into his cloak to feel around at the fabric of his shirt. Caught off guard by this, Leon’s cheeks deepened in a blush as her delicate hands moved over him. Then, as she stepped closer to unbutton his shirt, his mouth opened and closed several times, much like a fish, as he tried to find something to say to her.
“M-My shirt? Oh, yes…” Leonora was right on the ball about the fit of the shirts, but she was a professional tailor after all - She knew what she was doing. Hanging up his cloak, he reached down to pull his shirt up and over his head in one swift motion. While he was normally fairly confident with his physique, with Leonora’s eyes on him, he felt a bit self-conscious. Would she notice the scars that riddled his chest and back? Would she think him hideous? Or possibly weak for sustaining such injuries? He didn’t want to ponder it too much…
He was quick to fold up his shirt before reaching down to grab one of the others. It was tight against his biceps, his shoulders and upper chest. When he attempted to button it up all the way, he didn’t get past his rib cage before the fabric refused to pull any tighter. Leonora was quick to move around him, surveying the fit of the fabric. Standing there, still as a statue, he tried not to breath in her lovely scent, but it was impossible. As she moved, it seemed to engulf him, lulling his senses into a relaxed state as he stood there, her light touch moving over his torso.
Leon was drawn from his thoughts as Leonora got to work with her measuring. Feeling her arms come around him, it took everything in him not to groan as he felt her press against his back, her breasts smooshing into him from behind. With his eyes closed and his lower lip caught in his teeth to prevent him from groaning, he was surprised to hear her next request. She wanted him to flex? Not one to deny an order from an artisan, he lifted his arms and flexed his bicep. The fabric of the shirt pulled and strained, the seams bulging a bit.
Once she was finished with his arms, she came around to measure his chest, which he couldn’t help but puff out a bit. Her words, her requests were so lovely. Yes, he did have a few things to do tonight, but nothing that couldn’t wait for a few hours at least…Leonora wanted to spend time with him and he didn’t want to say no. Watching her pour tea, he smiled a bit to himself. “I have a few things to do today, but nothing that can’t wait until later.” He answered as he removed the constricting shirt and folded it for her, placing it on her work table.
He bushed at her next words. She wanted him to keep his shirt off? Blinking a bit in surprise, he nodded and smiled a little to himself. Did that mean that she wanted to see him shirtless? He was sure that she could get her measurements just as well if he wore his own shirt, but again, he couldn’t deny the request of a fellow artisan, she was the tailor after all, not him. Besides, he kind of liked the idea of her wanting to ogle him a little. Taking a sip of his tea, he was surprised when Leonora reached out to touch his tail.
He could tell that she was curious about him. The look in her eyes was clear – she wanted to know what kind of a shifter he was…Leon didn’t like to talk about it, especially not with females. In his limited experience with shifter females, they'd take one look at his dark form and balk, not expecting it and not liking that he wasn’t golden like he ‘should be’. That was all it took for females to lose all interest in him. Would Leonora be the same? Would she take one look his beast form and scowl in disgust? “I’m a lion shifter…” He said, answering her unasked question. Sipping his tea, he knew that she’d put two and two together quickly – his tail was pure black, and yet he was a lion shifter.
“I’m what my former Pride called, ‘an outcast’, or ‘a bad omen’.” He said with a sigh and a deep frown. Those were the nicer things they’d called him. He wasn’t about to tell her the real insults they’d thrown in his face all his life. No, Leonora was a proper Lady, and she didn’t need to hear such vulgar words.

╔═══════════════════ Seeing Leonora’s scowl, for a moment he thought that she was scowling at him, that she thought he was awful. But then she spoke, and he felt his anxiety ease. Blinking a bit in surprise, he blushed a little. She was a melanistic leopard? She was of a darker color as well? He’d never met another shifter that wasn’t their ‘natural’ color. The sincere look in her eyes melted his heart. He didn’t know what to say…Leonora was so different, so lovely. She didn’t judge him as others did…
At the mention of his scars, he shied away a little. He had put up a good fight – the fight for his life in fact, but that didn’t mean that he enjoyed her seeing them. However, it seemed that Leonora didn’t mind them…Lost in thought, he didn’t realize how close Leonora was getting until she leaned in close and placed her lips against his in a quick, fleeting kiss. Eyes wide, he blushed deeply, speechless. Leonora was quick to pull away, a blush on her cheeks as well. Without a work she went back behind her work table to begin her sketches, a light blush on her cheeks.
Gently touching his lips, he found himself wishing that the kiss hadn’t been so quick. He’d been so caught off guard that he hadn’t registered how soft her lips were against his, or how warm. He wanted another taste, a long, lingering kiss. Sipping his tea, he tried to hide his blush and his grin. She’d kissed him! He didn’t know what that meant in the long run, but he hoped that it meant that she was open to being courted…
However, as she worked, it seemed that she came to the conclusion that he might be mated. Despite not having a mating mark, at least not a visible one, she thought that he might have a mate. As she apologized for the kiss and asked if he had cubs that she could make clothes for, he shook his head quickly, not wanting her to get the wrong idea about him.
“N-No, Leonora…I don’t have any cubs waiting at home. I’m not mated.” He clarified, putting his tea cup down to look her in the eye. His cheeks were still pink, but the look in his eyes was heated. He didn’t look at her like a friend, or an acquaintance, he was looking at her like a man would look at a woman, a woman he was attracted to.
Coming around the side of her work table, he moved a bit closer to her. Reaching out he gently brushed a few stray strands of hair away from her face. Leonora was lovely…probably the most lovely shifter he’d ever met. “Im not mated…” He whispered, his gaze moving from her eyes to her lips. He wanted to kiss her, he wanted to taste her lips and feel their warmth and softness.
But his gaze moved to the spot where he knew her tattoo sat on her shoulder and he had to ask if she was mated. He didn’t think she was, but that mark meant something to her. “Leonora…I…I wont lie, I want to court you…but that mark on your shoulder…It means something to you.” He didn’t want to over step his bounds. Yes, she’d kissed him first, but that didn’t mean he could take liberties with her. “Would you…be alright if I courted you, Leonora?” His heart was being rapidly in his chest. He felt his anxiety fluttering again. He hoped she wasn’t taken, but he wouldn’t be surprised if she were – what male wouldn’t want such a lovely shifter for his own?

╔═══════════════════ Leon didn’t know whether to feel relieved that she wasn’t taken, or jealous of the guy that Leonora had thought she’d mate with. She’d obviously felt deeply enough for the male to have his mark tattooed into her lovely skin. How could the male have denied her? What had happened? Leon found that he wanted to know, and yet, at the same time he didn’t. Leon wasn’t used to courting females, he rarely tried given how they normally reacted when finding out about his beast form. But he found that he wanted to woo Leonora. He wanted to show her why he was a good male…why he might make a suitable mate for her.
Seeing the unshed tears in her eyes broke his heart and made him want to march out into the snow to beat down the male who’d dared hurt her. But as she looked up at him and began to stammer her reply, he felt his heart fill with hope. She would allow him to court her. This was the first step toward winning her heart, to making her his mate. As she placed her hand on his chest, he sucked in a quick breath. He wanted so much more from her than that simple touch, but he needed to be a gentleman. He needed to take things slowly and show her that he was a good man, a decent man.
He could see her uncertainty and she soon voiced her anxiety about the mark. Yes, she was ‘marked’, but that didn’t mean she was an unwanted female, not in his eyes. As she grasped his arm, he reached out to cup her cheek in his large palm. Her nervous hiccups had to be the cutest thing she could have done in that moment. When she nibbled her lip, he smiled gently.
“I cannot tell you what to do to your body, Leonora…that is only a decision that you can make for yourself.” Did he hate seeing that tattoo on her shoulder? Yes. Would he continue to hate it even if she agreed to be his? Of course. But did he want to order her to change it? No. Leonora was the master of her own fate and as such, she was free to do whatever she liked to her body.
Gently brushing her cheek with his thumb, he smiled down at her. He truly wanted to kiss her lips, but again, he didn’t want to rush things. So, instead of stealing a kiss, he leaned in to kiss her cheek for a long, lingering moment. “You are lovely, Leonora.” Pulling back, he smiled down at her.
“If you’re free…I'd love to make dinner for you tonight.” If he was going to court her, he needed to show her that he was a good man, that he had valuable qualities. “Or, if you prefer, I can take you out someplace…” Maybe she would prefer to go to a tavern, or something of that nature. In any case, he wanted to spend time with her.

╔═══════════════════ When Leonora accepted his invitation to come to his home for a home cooked meal, he couldn’t help but smile wide. Heart racing, he blushed a little, his mind suddenly racing with all of the things that he needed to do in order to prepare for the evening. Unfortunately, if they were going to spend the evening together, it meant he’d have to leave now to get his work done prior to coming back to pick her up. But the trade off seemed well worth it.
“Wonderful…I’ll gladly pick you up here, Leonora…” He said with a wide grin, his fangs clearly showing – something that he rarely allowed to happen. But he was so happy, that he hardly noticed the slip. Taking her hands, he grasped them gently before lowering his head to kiss each of her hands. “I need to go finish my work for the day, but I hope the time flies by…” He truly couldn’t wait to see her again.
Giving her delicate hands a gentle squeeze once more, he released them and stepped back. Moving around the worktable, he grabbed his shirt and pulled it back over his head before grabbing his cloak and slinging it over his shoulders. “I’ll see you soon, Leonora…” Giving her one last smile, he slipped out of her shop and headed straight to the market to buy the ingredients he’d need to make her a dinner he hoped she’d never forget.

Catherine was able to make Griselda catch up with most of the stuff on yesterday's lesson and share the cake slices before having another training session and then resting up in the dorm room. Now that today's another free day, she decided to head to the tailor shop with her beloved to find more clothes suited for the winter season. Her hand was warm as she clasped around the other's tightly, a snowflake landing on her nose since her face was mostly covered with the hood that was pulled up. And once the duo arrived near the door, the princess gave the door some moderate knocks. Hopefully, the tailor would be there soon to cater to them, unless that person was also feeling under the weather like what happened to Nova back then.
"Good morning. Is anyone here?" she asked, her voice reverberating through the wooden frame of the door. If there would be no reply, then it was best to just postpone for another time if that would be the last resort.

"Give service, Help the Innocent, Save the lives of friend and foe"
Yesterday Griselda helped Vana find her classroom, making sure the scarred girl was feeling better after having to deal with Gin. For everyone in Advanced Combat, they were already used to the boy's bad attitude. This was Vana's first time with someone like Gin and it clearly showed based on how she reacted. She was apologetic and scared to the point that she inadvertently activated her raiment. Fortunately some of the classmates, including Griselda herself, managed to calm her down. After making sure Vana was feeling better and safe in the right classroom, Advanced Combat had ended. Griselda missed the lesson, but surely Catherine will be able to provide her with the key points of it. The commoner did not go back the dorm room right away. Since she still had everything she brought with her to the classroom, mainly her sword and shield, she had made her way to the training area at the academy and practiced for two hours before returning to the dorm room. Catherine had brought cake, given to her by their professor. After having cake, she left to train on her own while Griselda bathed and went over the key notes on teamwork. Not much else happened after that besides sharing some poetry she had written, something Catherine seems to enjoy listening with every new bit of writing Griselda does.
Catherine had a surprise today for the two of them. She intended on doing some shopping today, specifically to acquire more winter clothes for them to last throughout the season. Griselda has a little bit of extra money to spend, and she hopes that it will be enough to get whatever she might end up getting from the shop. After bathing, getting dress and braiding her hair, she left the dorm room with Catherine. The first stop is The Floating Lotus Tailor Shop. An odd name for a shop is what Griselda thought, but Catherine is known to have good tastes and great instincts, so there is a good chance that they will both find something they like here. Griselda not picky about what she wears, but what she wears is largely based on her tiny budget. Catherine knocked on the door a few times and called out lightly to someone who may or may not be in the shop. Griselda took note of the sign that indicated the shop is open and said,
"U-Um...the sign says it is open...t-there has to be someone in there...m-maybe..."
