Shion rushing to Kagerou so soon, sooner than the medic expected and faster than she could react, would show her more than what the kunoichi intended to show. Clothes, ripped to shreds. Wounds, quite a few, but none of them more than skin deep save for a sprained ankle that had been the result of using the wrong footing at the wrong time. Even as Shion appeared, the ankle was swiftly being healed. Face, completely calm and with a smile only slightly tinged with pain from the sprain. None of the confusion and panic found in the yelp earlier. She was down, but she had recovered with an ease that spoke to how little she considered the injuries on her body.
Surprise overtook the pain when Shion suddenly appeared, but there was no fear in those widened eyes that started into the outstretched palm. Whatever tautness may have been seen in Kagerou's expression was simply disappointment in herself. She had miscalculated, and though she had been in this sort of situation sparring many, many times, the meaning behind it never escaped her. Had this been a real fight, she would be dead, most likely.
However, otherwise, everything went about the same way as if Shion had waited for Kagerou to walk out. While sparks still flew from Shion's hands, Kagerou quaintly reflected on her errors on forgetting an important detail of the armor and misusing the boxing stance.
When Shion broke her pose, Kagerou followed suit, letting her head drop down with a sigh, releasing the tension she had been holding this entire fight. After all, reading, memorizing, and observing were one thing, practical application was another. "I will try my best," Kagerou agreed, nodding as she slapped her hand into Shion's and allowed herself to be pulled up, "Thank you for your help. They've greatly accelerated learning these styles." With her sprained ankle healed, Kagerou made some small motions with the fingers of her free hand, and green chakra healed the rest of her body.
Giving Shion a once over, she could see that the taijutsu monster could also use a little bit of a touch up. Nothing serious, just a scratch here and there. Releasing Shion's hand, Kagerou made similar motions with the hand that was holding Shion's and ended with a tap on the forehead. Green medical chakra infused her body, healing her wounds and also relaxing any strain or exhaustion that may have built up in her muscles after all of that exertion. She should be hiding her strengths, but she liked Shion's simplicity and genuineness enough to not care.
While the two recovered, Kagerou asked, "Could we continue for round two? Or if you'd rather break for now, could I take you out for some tea as thanks?"

SHIONxxxxxMORI To say the rush of medical chakra brought relief would be an understatement. Sure, Kagerou had taken more blows than Shion, but the one's the little firecracker took were pretty serious -- hell, one was an actual kick to her actual head! And I thought Shion had no chill; damn, dude. The aching of her muscles and the ringing in her head slowly faded, offering a wave of clarity she ever rarely felt. "I mean, if yer still up for it, I can go a few more founds. Aint no skin off my back. I aint even fightin' at full power yet," Shion humble-bragged. To be completely honest, the sound of a lovely tea break was almost too much to beat right now... but she couldn't look soft in front of Kagerou; at least not after making so much progress in making her think Shion was cool!

Fighting words, but the interest in a brief respite had snuck its way onto Shion's face nonetheless. She believed everything Shion had just said. This girl definitely had more firepower she had yet to see and definitely could go a lot longer than Kagerou could. However, while Kagerou was fine with going until she pushed her body to its limits, she didn't want to strain her upbeat training partner. Shion didn't have to suffer through being pushed to her limits.
Still, she found the tough girl act cute. Giggling, Kagerou played along and changed her mind without giving any explanation, "Actually, you know what? We can always train later. Let's go on that date right now~". One scarlet eye closed in a flirtatious wink as a joke. Meanwhile, the green-haired maiden waved Shion to walk with her as she left the training grounds. "By the way," Kagerou made small talk as she and Shion left the training grounds, "Do you have any teas that you like in particular? There's a lot of good places here in Arashi. I guess it's because Lord Toso is such a gourmand and accomplished chef, so just having him as a leader attracts a lot of talent."

SHIONxxxxxMORI Wait, that's it? That's how she was gonna play? The build up had gotten Shion's blood roiling, itching to start getting her hands dirty for real. For kagerou to suddenly change her mind was just cruel, crueler than her attempts at embarrassing the sporty girl. Whatever. Kagerou must have suddenly felt the weight of all her training. Shion wasn't really surprised if this was the case; going that hard into taijutsu training was tough... even for her. Dropping her stance, Shion responded. "I'unno, uh... green?" she said, punctuating her sentence with an aloof shrug. Confectioneries had never been Shion's calling. As long as it didn't taste like crap, she'd probably eat just about anything. "Where's this place at, anyway?" she'd ask, catching up to Kagerou as the pair left.

"I was just thinking about where to go, actually," Kagerou answered without skipping a beat then fell "quiet" for a moment as she considered the different options in relation to Shion's answer. Though, her silence was quite filled with noise. The supposed kunoichi moved with a fluid gait, bells upon her wrist ringing time with each carefree step she took. Humming a small ditty in thought, the medic took a moment to clean herself up and make herself presentable as she walked. Her hands moved deftly and naturally to form a few handsigns that caused her body glowed with medical chakra that whisked away the dirt, grime, and sweat. Her hands continued to move and create more bell ringing noise after she was done cleaning, this time to pull her hair back over her ears and behind her back, securing strands behind her ears to keep her long hair out of her face. Sound filled the gaps of silence left by her lack of words and her mute footsteps.
Turning her red eyes to Shion, Kagerou asked, "I heard there was a new bubble tea place that opened near the academy. How does that sound?". It didn't sound like Shion had many thoughts on tea, and while Kagerou didn't judge solely on appearance, her companion didn't exactly give off an tea enthusiast vibes, either, so hopefully something like boba would be more to her tastes. Though, perhaps Kagerou might be proven wrong. Perhaps Shion would reveal she knew of the exact shop Kagerou spoke about: Bobbles, a small cafe-style establishment that boasted the fun, popping drinks that were the current trend in an impressive array of different teas, juices, smoothies, and milk snow drinks.

SHIONxxxxxMORI Could the two be any more different? Honestly the pair of kunoichi may as well have been night and day the way they contrasted each other. As if life had hit her with the reverse uno card on style, Shion trudged along side the graceful uchiha with all the elegance of a dump truck with a flat tire. Slouched shoulders, unkempt bangs, and a heavy-lidded, aloof glower all bobbed in time with the loud clopping of Shion's tattered canvas shoes, giving her a serious air of "jeez, who pissed in her cheerios this morning?"
"Bubble tea? That aint too much of'a fad fer ya?" Honestly the idea of boba sounded great; she may not look it, much Shion has quite the sweet tooth. Kagerou, on the other hand, was a well-known tea aficionado, so Shion fully expected her to be a complete tea snob. Guess not. Shion shifted her eyes, matching her mismatched green and yellows with Kagerou's burning crimsons. It didnt seem like one of her tricks... maybe she actually wanted to enjoy the proletariat treat. "I'm down either way. I could go for some boba... maybe a snack too" It always took a few minutes, but the ravenous hunger of a wild cat always hit Shion after a good training session. Hopefully Kagerou wasn't about to foot the bill.

Giving a healthy laugh and a big smile, Kagerou observed, "Pffft. I seem to be learning a lot with you as my teacher, Shion, especially about myself." The taller kunoichi, their height difference made only marked by Shion's delinquent slouch, walked happily besides Shion, not a wrinkle of complaint in her expression. In fact, if it weren't for the image she had established for herself, she would have been comfortable with relaxing a little alongside Shion, just in case the textbook aesthetic posture bothered her. For a while, Kagerou did not move her red eyes from her companion's cat-like greens and yellows. In fact, she quite admired the heterochromia, and while this was going on, permitted herself in indulging the view. However, this time, she gave in first, gracefully sliding her eyes away so that she could watch her step.
"In a way, you're right," Kagerou admitted as she continued walking, The high concentration of sugar in most bubble teas mask the more delicate flavors of certain teas, but that doesn't mean I don't think they taste good. Everyone has their own tastes and likes. What's the point in trying to keep up pretenses and appearances, in building walls and obsessing over differences, when we could spend that time enjoying each other's company instead?". The green haired woman looked around at the name boards of the different stores they passed, searching for the "Bobbles" logo. Though Shion hadn't said it out loud, Kagerou knew the kinds of ideas her image might put into the heads of others. There was no helping it, other than, of course, doing what she did just now: saying more than she needed to in the hopes that it would clear up any misunderstandings.
Before long, the awaited, "Ah, there it is," came forth from Kagerou's lips as with one hand she pointed in the direction of the little cafe and with the other she tugged on the sleeve of Shion's letter jacket. Reaching lower with her hand, the green-haired jounin grabbed her red-headed companion's wrist and encouraged, "Let's go~" as she promptly began to gently pull. No forceful pulling. There was certainly no way she was going to force Shion anywhere. She just wanted to coax the other girl to pick up her pace.

SHIONxxxxxMORI "Oh, really?" Shion nonchalantly remarked. As much as she'd like to take credit for being a good teacher, a long stream of failed students prevented her from taking the praise. Pushing down the memories of her past students, Shion slugged Kagerou in the arm. "You seem like'ya know more than you're letting on..." the shorty-sensei playfully prodded. "That, or you're a fast learner. I'm willin' ta hedge a bet on the latter." As she delivered what she considered praise, Shion would catch a side-eyed glance at her green friend's stare.
Did she have something on her face, some minute smudge left over from training? It wouldn't be out of character for Kagerou to play a trick on her like that. Shion momentarily zoned out, thinking of what could be wrong... man she was hard read. Wait... what did she just say? Her company, what was that about? No one just *wants* to hang out with Shion, not with her reputation. "Ah, 'eh? Yeah yeah, I'm following." she said, letting Kagerou guide her in. "So, what kind of place is this exactly? Like, I get it's a tea shop, but ya know... it's not gonna be weird or nothin' , right?"

The smile did not falter but an eyebrow did quirk up when Shion took Kagerou's compliment more seriously than she had intended. She didn't say anything about it, though. Instead, she simply replied, "Why, thank you." The relaxed kunoichi's smile brightened, creasing her eye closed as she enjoyed the compliment.
When, later, Shion expressed some questions about the tea shop she was being led into, Kagerou tossed a glance back. She released the other's wrist once they were inside and gave her a moment to see for herself the kind of establishment they'd come into. "It's just a normal cafe," Kagerou assured with a nod of her head, long, green hair waving behind her back at the motion, 'But obviously, they focus on boba instead of just normal coffees and teas." The decor of this shop wasn't anything special. A few cute pieces of wall art, mainly around the theme of colored bubbles. The seating was a mix of the standard chairs and tables one would find in any hole-in-the-wall sort of place, some couches around coffee tables, and a few bean bags clustered in a corner. The drink menu was rather expansive with different types of teas and fillings, but the food menu was a little limited. Mostly, it was just a few pre-packaged desserts, some sandwiches, french fries, and a few other fried fingers foods.
The place wasn't gushing with cuteness. It was more like chill with a side of cute. Still, while looking over the cute, bubbly decor, including few stuffed animals lining the wall and a multi-colored light fixture made of spherical bulbs that looked like a bunch of bubbles, Kagerou felt compelled to glance down at her companion and ask, "This place isn't too cute for you, right?". Her words came out calmly and smoothly. It wasn't hesitation she spoke with, but curiosity.

SHIONxxxxxMORI 'this place isnt too cute for you?' Oh, Kagerou, if only you knew the extent of it. In all honesty, Shion really liked the decor. The customized light fixtures were a great touch, given the shop's theme, and the stuff animals that littered the walls were just sparse enough to cover any ugly negative space without leaning too much into the cutesy side of things. In a way, it reminded her of that secret shame she called her room what with her own custom lighting and scattered children's entertainment memorabilia scattered along the shelves... It was actually very welcoming. Not that Shion would ever admit, mind you. There was no power, mortal or divine, that could save her if someone like Kagerou discovered her softer side.
Shion let out a cavernous yawn, allowing one more brief moment to let the atmosphere sink in. Be it exhaustion from training, the cozy atmosphere, or a combination of the two, she did not know. All Shion could tell you is she could really go for a chair right now. The plucky little ninja motioned her partner towards a table along the outer wall of the establishment. "C'mon, let's grab a seat."
After a few quick strides across the room, Shion took her seat, spinning the char around and angling it so she had clear view of the entrance and as many windows as possible. Not that she was expecting anything, but her anbu training refused to let her be unguarded... even in a cutesy boba shop. The girl's mismatched eyes did a once-around the room before finally settling, satisfied, upon Kagerou. "So uh... what's good 'ere? They got like a special 'er somethin'?"

No answer save for a yawn. Her curiosity left unsated, the green haired jounin ticked her head to the side, watching her not-answering companion from the corner of her eye as the other side walked ahead of her to a seat. Really, huh? No comment at all? Well, at least it looked like Shion was relaxed. That was enough in Kagerou's books.
Smiling bemused, the young woman drifted along after Shion, but voted to remain standing. She leaned her weight casually onto the table and appreciated the stuffed animals while Shion did her preliminary checks of her surroundings. In her own ways, the two weren't all that different in the way their guards remained up even when relaxing. It was just that Kagerou didn't show so obviously when she listened to those entering and exiting from the door behind her and taking in the details that streamed in from her peripherals had become as natural to her as seeing what was in front of her.
When that red shock of hair shifted, indicating that Shion's head was turning to her, Kagerou lowered her head to meet those mismatched eyes just as they landed upon her. She gave a smile before looking up again, this time in the other direction to read through the rather distant menu.
"Specials... They have some specialties here," Kagerou offered her opinion as she noted what the people at the edges of her vision rank, "Seem to be tasty. Fruit milk smoothies with popping boba seem to be a favorite. Then there's all of the different teas you wouldn't find at other boba shops. They'll even do warm drinks. But hm... If this is your first time here, how about starting simple with the standard milk tea boba? How sweet do you like your sweets?". Her weight shifted as she spoke and her hands moved into the front pockets of her hoodie. She stopped leaning on the table and shifted instead to lean her weight on one back leg while the other leg tapped a beat in the front. Her head tilted to the side away from Shion. "And I think I'm feeling up for some green tea, so I might go for their matcha boba. Stick to something common," she mused, "But hm... Should I test one of their oolong variants instead? I'm interested in how well the flavor translates over. Hm hm hm~"

SHIONxxxxxMORI Shion liked sweets as much as the next person, but she wasnt the type to simply gobbling down any sweet treat. Some would say her taste buds were too sensitive towards sugar, but Shion always liked to see it as a certain... refinement. She preferred her sweet treats to have flavors more on the natural side of things; honestly, why would you want a tripple fudge brownie that's been stuffed so full of caramel sauce that it has started leaking out on top of three scoops of high fructose corn syrup flavored ice cream that you eat while being beaten over the back with an unrefined sugar cane because "it's the best way to get that natural sugar taste" when you could have some dried fruit slices that have been lightly coated in honey or something. Yeah, candy was good, but c'mon people; when your bread tastes like cake, you have a little bit of a problem. I'm looking at you, America.
I mean... sweet is fine. Just so long as it's not like, pure syrup in... a cup." the girl's words trailed off as she peered up from a menu she'd found situated in a holder on the table. There was Kagerou, standing in a 'too cool for you, kid' pose, dramatically leaning against the table like she was some leather jacketed biker dude. It was almost enough to actually make Shion think Kagerou actually was cool... until she heard the slew of tea-babble flowing from her mouth. Shion raised an inquisitive brow and adopted a teasing tone. "I thought you didn't take tea that seriously? C'mon. just order us two of something that looks good. I'll defer to your judgement, oh wise tea master."
In good humor, Kagerou laughed at Shion's tease. "What? Oh, no. I take my tea quite seriously, but you know? When you think back to the best tea you've drunk, you won't be thinking about the type of tea, but the time you drank the tea," she replied back as she glanced down.
And you know what? That also helped Kagerou make her decision. Giving Shion's hair one last loo, the green haired chick let her friend know she'll be back soon and left for the counter.
A few minutes later, she came back with a tray full of food. Plus, the crowning achievement, two cups of a pale pink tea, dark brown tapioca balls jostling at the bottom of the milky liquid. "Figured you were starving," Kagerou explained, "and I thought of rose tea when I saw you hair." Just to tease, she picked up both of the teas once she set the tray down. One was pulled towards her, but she extended the other one to Shion. Specifically, she held it right next to Shion's red hair and, with one eye closed like some artist surveying their subject, she complimented, "Yep. A perfect match in shade~ But I think you look more delicious~". With a comical wink, she finger gunned with the hand holding her drink, revenge in good fun for the tease earlier.

SHIONxxxxxMORI Why was it always the tea drinkers who fancied themselves wise sages? It probably made sense to Kagerou, but her words were lost on Shion. Thinking of the time she had it? When she thought of all the past "greatest" moments, she didn't just think of when it happened; Shion latched on to the conditions that made it perfect. The type of tea would have everything to do with how Shion responded to it.
When Kagerou arrived with the drinks, Shion's eyes grew wide with excitement. Never one to willingly show enthusiasm, Shion quickly regained her 'trademark' aloof composure; can't have Kagerou thinking she's actually excited to be here, can we?
Once the drinks hit the table, Shion instinctively reached out towards one, but found herself pulling back to awkwardly mess with whatever stray hairs had fallen out of her bun. "Well... that's certainly one way to make a decision," Shion said with a shrug. She took the drink offered by kagerou and gave it a quick swirl, letting the mixture of tea and milk vortex and send the little balls inside spinning about. Finding a brief moment of bliss in watching the black spheres collide against each other, Shion almost missed Kagerou's jest... almost. A sudden jolt of embarrassment roared through the little ninja, causing her to turn the same shade as her tea. Her hand clenched, sending the lid off the cup and onto the table with a short pop. Stammering, Shion chided her bully as she recovered her drink. "Sh-shut up. You dont know what you're saying!"
