I spent 15 mins on the original design, and 29 mins total on this fixed version. It was meant to be quick and crappy, but it's even worse than I'd pictured. XD; I hate this. But oh well. :)

This is a screenshot from my imgur. I'm not sure if I still have this file on my iPad or not. Probably not.
I checked Imgur for old art. It's what came to mind first, idk why I didn't just look in my Procreate app. xD Anyway, I was amused when I realized that my art from the first year I did this event counts for this prompt. c:
old art explanation: The hard mode that year required 40-50 mins of effort (something like that). I didn't want to have to draw multiple drawings, so I kept adding extra pizzaz and glow effects to all the art to fill time. XD It's an *era* because of it. I was more into realism and unlined art at the time ... and glow and rim lighting XD
The lines between all the giraffe spots are indeed neon lighting. I didn't consider this a masterpiece back then either XD but something silly that fulfilled a requirement... much like most of the drawings I've done for this event so far XD
The quality of the image is awful due to resizing smaller for the event
new art explanation: I didn't pay attention to the angle of the original neck when I drew this one... so oops. I decided to stick with my silly line art since that's what I've been doing lately.
I saw a whole lot of my older art in imgur while searching for the 5+ year old stuff. I am happy that my silly drawings have improved to this point... but I saw some of my older styles and I really need to screenshot more of my old work as style guides. ... not this giraffe, but other pieces

Edit; the image of this lion surrounded by flowers came to mind, and I knew for sure I'd used this ref before for 100 day. Found it. 2022. I went more for "character" than realistic with this one. But XD; yikes @ the mane I'd given it. XD

Comments: most of the time was spent playing. I downloaded a bunch of brushes and tried them out. I went looking for more paper (found some) and couldnβt resist grabbing a bunch of other brushes I found as I searched XD
I think Iβve got other watercolor brushes I like better, but these are okay. I liked this sketching brush. Itβs different from my others. β¦ most of my new brushes are weird texture brushes. Iβd like to play with them, but they didnβt really mix with watercolor
I included a version with just the sketch cuz I was happiest with that stage
