Being the incredible genius that I am, I saved over the psd file with a flattened version, so its harder to edit :XP So please ignore the spelling errors for the moment, and I'm sure they'll be spelled correctly in the working version razz

Phew. v1.1, with a few changes suggested by you guys and some others I decided to chuck in. Nav is thinner, changed the side bubbles a bit, added some article navigation. Any ideas how I can the make the bubbles spiffier? Little banners is so not my strong point >.<

On the colours... I'm too lazy to change them =_= Blue and orange isn't thaaaaat bad is it?

I'm still a bit lost for ideas for the header image, so I'm asking you guys to try and come up with something if you can... I'll keep worning on it.

I totally understand not wanting to change the colours. They are fine. I just said they were a little safe for my liking.

I am glad the spelling errors will be fixed. smile

Flattening the psd drives me nuts. I have done that a few times. It just means extra work if you want to make major changes. It can still be done. smile

Thank goodness for the Previous and Next links at the bottom. That is great. smile Is your CMS going to be able to handle it?

The bubbles over on the right look fine. I would not change them. The only qualm I have over them is the fact that it is going to take extra work every month to change them... I don't really have too many ideas on how to fix that though...

I tried my best to fix up the header image, but I have to admit, I am not that great at Graphic Design. I am sure someone here will come up with something good.

You might want to give them the pixel by pixel size of the header and/or start a contest for it. ???

I don't know what CMS is sweatdrop The whole site is just going to be hard coded in html by me at the moment, because I haven't got the database properly done in time. Unfortunately that also means the members section won't be up, because there's no way I'm going to do all those manually xp

I don't mind making the bubbles each month, they don't take long to do.

The header space is 770x160 pixels, if anyone is thinking of making one. I was thinking it might be cool to just feature some original artwork done by members or something each month instead?

That actually is a great idea! I would really support that!
It would also be cool to have the featured member of the month to do the header.. 3nodding

The layout all coded, CSS~ed to the max baby! Now readying the articles, and other finishing touches. Sorry its late, but it should be done within um... a week xp

Still don't have a good header or wallpaper! Last resort I'll use some of my old stuff stare

Does anyone object to making the e-zine bi-monthly (like every 2 months...)? Its just that its a lot to get done in a single month, and its taken 2 months to get the second issue done (okay, not completely done yet).

I'm quite new here so my voice can be a minority, but i think having less but better, then having more and worse is... better? xd i hope i'm making sense...
so bi-monthly is ok with me
