ForestGreen Rorek: My problem is that even if I did save up the money for one, I really couldn't justify spending it on a doll because there are so many other things we need. I can understand that. It took me 2 1/2 years to justify purchasing my first. But I realised that I'm alot happier with this one hobby than I ever was in any of my others, and honestly? Aside from the one large cost of the doll, most dolly related stuff costs less than my old hobbies alone, or combined. :3 I used to spend $150+ a month on Build-A-Bears, and now I spend MAYBE $50 per month on doll related stuff. Not to mention the Animes I used to buy at $30 a pop, usually 2 or 3 per month, plus Mangas at $10 each, around 5 a month. I SAVE money in this hobby. The only expensive cost was the initial cost for the doll, and the nice camera I bought to take pictures, but the camera can also be used for anything, and I got a really good deal on it. :3 That's just something to think about. wink

Lee Kushrenada firrantello Lee Kushrenada firrantello: I love your shawl, its very nice looking and it dose not look like most things youed find in a store, very nice. thanks! i'm excited to wash it and block it. but not tomorrow, i have to work block? o.0 when you knit a garment you need to block it to the measurements in the pattern. when i block i do it before i sew the pieces together. i just pin the piece to my ironing board at the correct width (like the chest width for the front and back), put my iron on the lightest steam setting, then press the piece nice and flat. with a cabled sweater i just do the edges though >.> dont wanna flatten the cables.
its really necessary for a proper fit sweatdrop i know from experience, i did a sweater for a friend last christmas and it didnt fit cuz i forgot to measure when i blocked it, and my friend cant wear it til i get down to VA and stretch it for them. i felt absolutely awful.
