i read in an interview that was in an art book of yuki's that riff and cain are in fact NOT gay. and in that intreview she was kinda shocked to have hurd this but she did see why people would think that.

but sadly no thire not.

Its beyond romance or lust, gay or straight.

Literally...it came to pass that they can't live without one another.
