I blame it mostly on highschool. And slightly on this site and Limewire.

i'm still trying to grasp the fact of how i can look emo in real life. i mean furreal: i'm black. i cant cover an eye with my hair. my clothes (bought by my dad) are all baggy and i find it hard to express or be myself when and whereever i go. maybe i'm not emo. maybe i'm just some stupid wanna-be loner.

Mostly through the people claiming to be the abbey crew inflicting it upon my ear drums and drilling into my skull no matter how much I told them I don't care. In the end, I accepted it and now just shake my head...
I will say this though, alotof the musicians involved are very talented, its just a shame I want to hurt all of the singers for these bands for being the arrogant fools they are.

I guess through friends. I dunno me and my friend decided we were gonna go "scene" so people would realize that Emos don't always cut and write angsty poetry, and that most of them are relatively happy. Plus I listen to bands like, Saetia, Circle Takes The Square, and Moss Icon.

For me it was a bit of everything. I started listening to Taking Back Sunday and Fall Out Boy. Through Fall Out Boy I got into From First to Last, and then my friends put me on to other bands. Once I got my iPod I really got into the podcast Cry Baby Emo Kids and then on ventured into all of the other bands. Plus the site bashing emos and the music a lot and I wanted to see what the big deal was.

Prety much my whole life I've listened to the "Alterative" radio station (cause my mom's cool enough to raise me on that) and they play a whole bunch of emo there. And then one of my friends knows all these nifty emo bands that most people have never heard of and she always passes them onto me. <3

Yeah I started off liking MCR (which isn't really emo), but they lead me to the Used, then I found A7x, FFTL, FFAF, SP, and a bunch of other bands that I like listening to now. However, I hate Hawthorne Heights...

Wha...? I'm not emo. I don't listen to emo/scene music. I listen to whatever makes me feel great at the current time. If that means I'm pissed off and want classical piano music, so be it.
