I hate it when people call us poser. I`m emo/scene but everyone calls me poser. The whole reason why we`re called emo is because we`re emotional right? heart So friggin tell them to shut their face cause they`re stupid. If that makes them call you poser more, say "takes one to know one." I know it sounds kind of childish but either do that or ignore them. They`re just jealous of how hardcore you are. Trust me. I feel the same way. I love emo style, the music, the passion for the music, just as you said, and I hate conforming. I just am not the stereotypical extremely depressed. I am a happy emo. =D And I dress indie, really. I am very introspective. I love emo. <3

heh, when i started listening to emo music my friends all called me "wemo."
(short for wannabe-emo)
i don't even dress emo....
well, to me it had nothing to do with scene. i wasn't even aware that the music was "emo" at the time. it was all about finding music that could help me learn a little more about myself, see the world a little differently, think that someone out there understood what i felt like....

it was then that i realized the difference between true friends and other people....
