[Wingardia] No. 313 - Rin's Room.

Rin's gaze dropped to the ground, blankly staring, as Haruko took the bloody cup from her grasp and began washing her hands again. Though, the bleeding wasn't letting it up. They needed bandages, which Rin didn't have. It seemed like it would've been a very good idea for her to get some though, considering her... condition. She sighed again, slowly looking up to watch Haruko. She wanted to start messing with her hair, to pull the damp clumps of blood out, but that would only get more in.

She closed her eyes, anther wave of dizziness hitting her, and leaned heavily against the side of the tub, sitting on her knees. She breathed in and out through her mouth, breath coming a little harder with each passing second. She kept her eyes closed, trying to stay focused. She peeked them open after a moment, but shut them once more as she realized her surroundings were slightly blurry.

Faye was slightly relieved that the two girls had made up, she wasn't sure why, it just seemed to make the tension dissaper a bit. She washed a bit more of the blood off of the girl and then took a towel drying her off. She turned to the youngest girl and dried her a bit too as she seemed to have gotten bloody from helping the first one. She looked at Rin for a moment, not really at her, but just in thought as she wondered what to do.

Faye shrugged her shoulders and turned to Haruko "Alright, let's get her to the on-campus hospital" she said to her speaking softly and kindly as best she could. She then pulled Rin out of the tub and helped her stand on her feet, letting her lean on her and then started walking out of the bathroom, motioning for Haruko to help a bit. She was carefull to avoid any glass that was still on the floor and kept a towel around the deepest parts of Rin's room.

Haruko nodded at the girl and followed her, carrying one of Rin's shoulders over her's. She wanted to help, but she wasn't strong enough to carry Rin by herself. She looked up at the other girl and decided to introduce herself. "I-I'm Haruko. What's your name?" she said. She looked behind her at the bathroom. It was drenched in blood and glass. And tears

She was blank white. No color in her at all. The whole experiance was terrifying. And it hadn't really set in on her at all untill now. She started to cry again. Her best friend was hurt. But she was OK, at the same time. It was weird. She blinked out a few more tears and looked up at Rin. She was a mess. She had blood basically all over her body. On her hands. In her hair, streaming down her neck, all over her dress. And there was a trail of the red sticky stuff all down the hallway behind them. She wanted Rin to get better soon. She wanted to know why this had happened.

Rin opened her eyes again as she realized she was being lifted into a standing position. She tried to pull away from the girl who was helping her, but found that to be impossible and quickly leaned back against her. Her face was bowed to the ground as if in shame. She really did not wish to rely on these people, yet here she was, unable to even walk on her own. She gritted her teeth, but didn't clench her fists, since it would've hurt herself even further. She sighed shakily and started moving alongside the girl, taking short, staggering steps as the blood continued to run down and dye her dress red. It dripped from her hands, leaving an obvious trail down the hallway, but she ignored it. She simply closed her eyes again, trusting these two to get her safely to the hospital before she ended up passing out.

Rin stared back at him, her own eyes widening slightly under his stare. Just what was he doing? But then he blinked and started moving, and she slowly lowered her gaze to her own lap. She was still gripping his shirt lightly, but with her other hand she tugged at the pink dress distastefully. As soon as she got to her room, she was changing. Then... she'd probably take a nap. She really was extremely tired, and her injuries were stinging. The gash across her chest was actually painfully throbbing.

She was still slightly confused as well, thus leading to her irritation. He was just carrying her around everywhere, and... she found it strangely comforting. She'd never really gotten close to people before. She'd built up walls since age four when her curse was set in place, and no one really got close to her after that anyway. This was really odd, and she wasn't sure what to think about it. She wanted to get away because it was unfamiliar, but at the same time, part of her didn't.

Rin kept silent, lost in her thoughts, until they arrived at the dorm buliding. Then she simply said, "313" to let him know what room it was, and let her eyes flick across each door as they passed. They finally came to a black one, with silver numbers set upon it. Rin pulled a key seemingly from nowhere and slipped it into the door, unlocking it and pushing it open. It swung wide, revealing a bare and black room. Everything was black. The bed, ceiling, walls, carpet, and furniature. Walls had white lacey patterns, and furniature had them in silver and gold. There was not a picture in sight. She remained silent, eyes upon the black door of her closet as she waited for him to set her down so she could change.

Keiichi nodded his head as he stepped into the room, he looked around, then looked to the dress that he had given her, he could tell that pink was not her favorite color. He would apologize but then he realized that she must have wanted to be put down. Quickly he walked over to her closet and set her down on the floor carefully. His hands rested on her shoulders and for a moment he just looked at her not letting go. He was in the postion as if he might want to kiss her, but he wasn't aware of it and then let go a moment later.

He turned around and looked around her room for a moment making sure that he didn't get close to any of her clothing or invade her privacy. Her walls looked so bare and her room was so dark, the only window in the room was heavily covered by blinds and think curtains. Without saying another word he took a piece of paper out from a place in her room and sat down on a plain black chair. He quietly sketched something while he waited for her to finish changing in the closet or bathroom, he wanted to make sure she made it to her bed at least.

Rin waited quietly for him to realize she wanted down. She was biting her tongue though, to keep from speaking sharply. He had helped her, getting nothing in return, and no matter how odd that was to her, she couldn't help get the feeling she now owed him. She'd have to figure something out later... But for now she was just keeping herself from yelling at him. He finally started towards the closet and set her down, holding her shoulders for a second. That was probably a good thing, since she hadn't been on her feet in a while and most likely would have fallen over. She stared up at him the entire time though, expression almost blank until he finally let go.

Then she turned and shakily walked into the closet, trying her best not to fall or stumble. Once she was in she shut the door behind herself and turned on a light. It sent a faint purple tinted glow over everything, but it was definitely enough to see by. She picked out simple black pajama pants of cotton, and a black tank top to sleep in. It was somewhat slow moving though. Her hands and chest hurt when she moved, and she had her back against the door to keep herself from falling.

But she finally finished and exited her closet, the bandages obviously seen around her chest and back now from where he'd applied them. If one looked closely, they'd seen the faint red beginning to show through the white wrappings. Rin blinked once and started towards Kei, seeing he'd begun sketching. She slowly made her way over to him, trying to see. "...what are you drawing?" she asked, somewhat groggily, as she wiped gently at her right eye.

Kei looked up to see Rin in a pair of black clothing again, he stared at her bandages, Rin wouldn't be able to really tell but anyone looking would think he was staring at her chest. He really wasn't the type for that kind of pervert ways and instead of saying anything, rather childishly he continued to sketch hiding it from her a minute longer. He was actually really worried about her, he didn't know her very well but the fact that she had been in such bad condition ment that something must have been seriously wrong.

Kei finished sketching and held the picture up to her, it was a picture of her, she was in an all black lace dress, an umbrella with her. She was looking down into a puddle kneeling as if there was something more there then anyone else would see. The picture showed just how beautifull she really was and looked lifelike as possiable. "For your walls" he said simply and then set the picture down on a cluttered dresser. Her room was rather messy, not like she was a slob but actually there were shards of glass in here.

Maybe the thing that happened to her happened here, he wasn't really sure, but he wanted to help her and clean up the mess. He picked her up again, the act was easy, and seemed kind of fun for some reason. Kei sat her down on her bed after clearing away any things on top of it, he pulled back the sheets and set her down. He pulled the top sheet over it and then actually tucked her in, it was a habit from tucking in Shinju so many types who asked him too. He sat down next to her in a chair "Go to sleep, I'll stay till you wake up again" he said intending to clean up after she slept.

Rin gazed at him for a moment, hands straight by her sides as she felt him staring at her. If it wouldn't have hurt, she would've crossed her arms over her chest again, but since the smallest movements brought forth a stinging sensation, she let her arms remain limp. Besides, he'd looked away quickly enough, and gone back to his drawing. Rin tried to lean a bit forward, tilting her head to try catching a glimpse, but he had shifted and hidden it from her further. She was about to move even closer, when he suddenly let her see.

Her eyes widened again and she stared openly for a few seconds. "Th... thank you," she said quietly, obviously surprised and taken aback. She couldn't recal anyone ever drawing something for her. "It's very... good." She wasn't used to giving out complements, as he could probably tell from her halting words. She glanced around her room once, eyes hovering upon the bathroom littered with glass and shards of splintered wood from the busted door. She thought they would have cleaned it by now. Maybe she was supposed to inform someone?

She sighed again, but it caught in her throat as she was lifted yet again off her feet and carried towards her bed. She just lay there, a little stunned, as he set her down, covered her up, and even tucked her in. She couldn't even remember the last time someone had tucked her into bed. Her eyes slowly shifted towards him, widened again, and opening even further when he said he was staying. "You don't... have to do that.." she said uncertainly. Why was he doing this? Acting so nice?

Kei looked at her and smiled slightly, while he often didn't smile very much, but when he was really happy the same goofy smile was across his face. It was like he didn't know what was going on at all or something, but it was still charming in its own ways. "Its fine, I want you to be well rested" he said as he moved up to her again. He took a small pill out of his pocket and then looked at her for a minute "Trust me" he said again simply. He opened her mouth carefully so she wouldn't have to move and he put the pill in her mouth. The pill would dissolve, and would make her get a well-rested sleep, which was something he knew she needed.

Before she fell asleep he kissed her just once, briefly, he didn't know why, but when she woke up she wouldn't remeber anyway. She would forget the last hour or so would only remeber going to the hospital and getting out probley. He didn't know why he kissed her, it had been the look on her face, the lonely look that shot through everyone whenever they saw her. He could tell that she was alone, she seemed a lot like Shinju, he looked lonely sometimes, when no one was looking, the kind of deepening feeling that broke everything you thought you knew about that person.

Whatever the reason he had kissed her, it didn't count as a first kiss for either of them, Rin wouldn't remeber and he didn't really kiss her for romance. Not that it wasn't a possablity, he just didn't want girls to like him that way, if someone did, what would happen if he broke her heart? These thoughts lingered in his head till he stood up off the chair and then went to the bathroom to clean.

Rin blinked as he smiled, just silently staring at him as if searching for truth in his words. That was really all he wanted? Just for her to feel better? Her eyes widened again as he pulled out a pill and she stared at it uncertainly, looking back to his face as he said to trust him. How was she supposed to trust someone she'd just...? But from his expression, she couldn't help it. She couldn't even imagine him taking advantage of her while she slept, or even having those thoughts at all. So she squeezed her eyes shut when he placed the pill in her mouth.

She felt it starting to dissovle and almost immediately began feeling drowsey. It was sort of a scary feeling, but she tried to keep herself calm and just fall asleep quietly. But when he kissed her, her eyes shot open just for a second, staring up at him in shock, and her pale face flushed very faintly red. "Wh-why...?" she whispered, but then her eyes slowly fell closed again and she was out cold, in a dreamless state. All of the horrible dreams that usually haunted her sleep didn't appear, at least not yet, and her expression grew somewhat peaceful as she lay there.

It took him well over an hour to clean up the room to the state that it looked to be in before. He had to also make sure to avoid any personal items like clothing, but luckly most of that looked to be in the closet. He walked back into the room after throwing away the trash of glass and a broken door, actually he had gotten a new door for her but he was tired. He decieded he would attatch it to her frame when it was morning, he walked over to the door that lead out of her dorm room as if about to leave but then the promise he made jogged his memory. He closed the door and locked it, he didn't want anyone to come in, he didn't trust anyway either.

His mind went to the many shards of glass and then her wounds from eairlier, while it seemed strange, the wounds almost looked self-inflected. While he wasn't a real doctor he knew a lot about the subject but still didn't want to believe that it was her that did it to herself. He looked over at her, her long violet hair fell into her face and he tucked it behind her ear. It just appeared to be the right thing to do simply put, he blinked a faint blush across his cheeks. She was younger then him by around 3 or 2 years, and he wasn't allowed to date anyone...that would...hurt her at one point.

He closed his eyes knowing that he couldn't have her hurt because of him, her wounds were already too deep on the outside. He wasn't sure when but at some point his head dropped, his arms crossed and he fell into a deep sleep full of clouded dreams about the fire and looks of hate, such strong looks of hate.

Rin had slept strangely peacefully, stirring only once, very slightly, when Keiichi had brushed her hair from her face. Her hair that still had clumps of blood in it... She realized this when she groggily raised her hand and rubbed at her head, pulling sharply away when she felt the tangled mass of blood crusted hair on either side. Her eyes slowly eased open now as she glanced towards her bathroom, freezing suddenly as she saw something out of the corner of her eye.

Her head turned slowly, eyes widening as she saw a male sitting there, asleep. For a few seconds she just stared in stunned silence, until she slowly recalled who he was, and why he was here. He had helped her get out of the hospital, after bandaging her, and then carried her all the way back here. A very faint smile flashed across her face just for a second as she recalled how they'd gotten lost, and then he'd then cheated by walking right over the top of the maze. And he'd jumped out of that tree after pulling her from the window... He was odd, to say the least, but she didn't mind all that much. So she watched him silently, propped now on her elbows so she was halfway sitting.

Keiichi woke up from hearing Rin stir, it took him a moment to regestier his surrondings but only a second. He was in cold sweat, and hadn't slept that good, the dreams of his past were what usually kept him happy but he could only dream of the last night he spent at his dojo. The fire and then all the yelling, the blaming, the rush of being afraid and then running away. He blinked himself out of remebering that Rin was with him and he saw her staring at him, he smiled brightly giving a childish wave. He looked towards her hair that she still held slightly in one of her hands and nodded his head realizing that she needed to take a shower and the door was off.

He stood up and slipped off his shirt trying to get rid of the feeling that he had and picked up the door with ease. The door was actually a lot heavier then a normally one but to him it was like picking up a leaf rather then a large door. It only took him a matter of minutes to install it into place and then he picked her up again carrying her just to the crossway to where she could get a change of clothes and then go into the shower, letting her down there.

Without another word he sat down in the chair folding his arms across his chest and staring at the celing in thought.

Rin blinked once as she saw his eyes open, her head tilted slightly to one side as she tried to figure out if that really was sweat she saw upon his face. Had he not slept well? But her thoughts were stopped abruptly at the sudden smile and she couldn't help smiling back. Well, almost... A faint one tugged and the corner of her lips, but out of habit she tried to hold it back. She usually didn't have many reasons to smile, so this was another new thing to her, sadly enough.

Then he stood, and Rin's eyes followed, widening and flicked away when he pulled of his shirt, but slowly shifting back to him again. She couldn't help it, and it was absolutely amazing to her that he so easily lifted that large door and set it in place. But then again, he had been carrying her around all of yesterday... So it shouldn't have been that surprising... But she couldn't help it.

She stared at him again when he returned, the faintest pink spreading across her cheeks as he picked her up once more and carried to her pick out some clothing. She grabbed the first things she saw, feeling pretty strange, even stranger than normal, since he wasn't wearing a shirt this time. Then she was brought to the bathroom, which she just realized had been cleaned. Once her feet were upon the floor again, she cast him a wondering look, thinking he might have cleaned it up, but hoping he hadn't. They had robots to do things like that, didn't they?

It was silent, neither of them speaking, but she couldn't think of anything to say either. So, once he'd returned to the chair and started gazing towards the ceiling, she bowed her head slightly and retreated, carefully closing the newly fixed door and starting up the water. She set her clothing on the counter by the sink, frowning at her reflection for a couple seconds before carefully stripping off her clothes. She stared at the bandages for a moment before carefully unwrapping them and disguarding them in the trash can. She had more in a drawer of the bathroom anyway, and she didn't want to shower while wearing them. They'd just get wet and slip off anyway. So she slowly stepped into the shower after everything was prepared, and began quickly washing herself, taking care to remove all the dried blood.
