Beixuelong Legendary_ONE Try "Romance of Three Kingdoms" (Chinese: 三国演义) if you haven't done so already. The book itself is acclaimed as one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literate. And in my opinion, the TV series that was based on it is just as awesome. While the drama sticked to the original plot, the screenwriters took the time to translate the 14th century Chinese (which was used to write the novel) into a more modern form that is much easier to understand. Awesome! smile I'll have a go at that as well once I have the chance! Thanks! whee
Oh and I've seen an anime Called "Romance of the Three Kingdoms"
I mean, not actually watched it, but the title popped up. The animation looks bad though mad And there's a bunch of games; I haven't played them, but I've downloaded some of the game music. They use traditional Chinese instruments in them.
what about SEven Swords [a movie] ?? Does that have anything to do with Chinese history? Or is it just a fictatious movie with cool fighting?? |

oh, TANK's a taiwanese singer, lol. theres gonna be a newer version of 红楼梦. its casting crews at the moment.. you can wait a while and when it comes out you can watch/get it.. |

you can go to this place where the author of that book wrote it.. its was alrite.. been there.. umm.. its inside a umm.. botanical garden or sumfing.. you can go there when you visit bei-jing.. maybe 2008 would be a good time to go! |

I think that's the one; but I don't think Zhang Ziyi was in it confused |

Of course the book is a work of fiction. However, it has a strong influence on Chinese folklores, mythology and even religion (i.e. Taoism and Buddhism); And it makes a good study material if you wanna learn about the Chinese literature at the time when this book was written.
By the way, the book itself is first written around 1590s AD, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's a "non-cartoon version before the anime." blaugh |
