i may be mormon, but that's not the main reason why i don't do that, i do it because of all the things i've seen people go through because of that.....i need to stop preaching

I have a great time when I'm with my friends, I don't see how not drinking makes me unable to have fun.
Yeah there are douche bags that try to make everyone else sXe, but I don't care unless you are smoking next to me and that's just because the smell gets to me, not the fact that you are smoking.

Very few, if any.

Why is it such a huge trend?

Because its the epitome of the rock and roll life style, they like to believe they are special and doing something great, when as an ex-alcoholic and I'm sure Isel as an ex-cocaine user (I assume ex anyway). greatly disapprove of, but if they want to ******** their life up, let them, I'm not the one who has to pick up the pieces of the fall out afterwards, so why should I care?

I hit every stimulant pretty hard, still.

Just cocaine, less. I get most of my rush from synthetic adrenaline (read: epinepherine), caffeine (read: pills), and natural adrenaline-inducing occurances (read: narrowly escaping car crashes, jaywalking on the freeway, rollercoasters, etc.)

But, straightedge doesn't mean "no fun". I always viewed it as hardline Christianity without the Jesus.

dunno if this counts as "in danger of dying", but i got REALLY (and i mean that when you cant move an inch of ur body and just tend to roll around on the street) drunk a few times and almost got run over by a car..as for drugs i did do them for a time, but didn't really fancy them that much..so i stopped after a while

and i totally agree with Rellik's reason..and im proud to say that im currently trying to stop drinking..so now i only drink on occasions, but i still do get really drunk when i do though.. sweatdrop

also, this question is for isel "what's cocaine like?" since i couldn't really get my hands on any for the short time i was doing drugs..thought about it though.. twisted

the only thing i remember my grandpa EVER saying to me was never touch or think about doing this stuff thats got me to this bed
and my best friend is struggling with that and now she's got some serious issues

A note, a preface of sorts: Anyone who was or is into drugs who says "I couldn't get my hands on -blank-" means they didn't actually look for it or try to get it. When you do drugs, dealers aren't going to walk up to you and tend to your desires- it's quite the opposite.

Cocaine is... well... It's not a "high" per se, as in your perception isn't driven towards hallucinations. Have you ever popped caffeine pills? If you've experienced an energy rush from caffeine, combine that with the feeling you get from an adrenaline rush, then multiply that times one hundred. You'll be jittery, jumpy, your mouth won't stop moving, you'll talk CONSTANTLY, you'll always be moving, and your mind will jump from thought to thought faster than Paris Hilton jumps from man to man.
