GGAPhoenix My theory is that they are, they both have determination to defeat someone, Lee has Naruto, Sasuke, and Neji, where Gai/Guy has Kakashi *ahem* thats cuz Gai told Lee that he needs someone to compete against...

I can't say if there related but if they are rock lee is going to be able to kick guys as$ as in surpass him. cause if guy had a teacher like him self when lee did then he would be stronger and plus lee know drunken fist thats just cool on its own.are they father and son maybe probably but the student will surpass the teacher!!! ninja

ok gai isnt lee's dad i think we all know that but, lee being the next gai
hells ya he can and almost it he just has to become a jonin and beat the heck out of sasuke and naruto

I say that Rock Lee is so the nexy Gai, but He is not Gai's kid. Kinda would be cool if he was, but yet kinda weird.

It's been proven that Lee isn't Gai's son, but Lee could be the "spawn", in essence, of Gai...But only if he has seito(students). Because I can definetly imagine Rock Lee doing things like giving his students the suits and blah.
And one of them might even idolize Lee!! It's a CHAIN!! Where did it start?!? Was Gai even the first one?? Was there someone before him???
