I read the catcher in the rye and i liked it but i still think it was dissapointing. I still liked how it was written and all, and how he used the same words over like "that killed me" and "hellova", "sonovabitch" and "you know what i mean"

Rellik San DaisukeOrDark Rellik San Oh gee what a surprise... nearly everyone has said catcher in the rye, that over rated, mis-interpreted pile of wank. Anyway, as well as Soul Music and Witches abroad, the rest of the Discworld series. The Dragonlance series, and anything by Rob Grant, along with Nueromancer, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? and finnaly the Lensman Chronicles by E. E. "Doc" Smith. I had to reread Cather in order to get it. I mean I've read better books but I do still enjoy the book. I've read better and I do believe that its worthy of going on a summer reading list but its not worthy of being on my favorites list. The Catcher in the Rye... its one of those where the reputation precedes it, I read it and felt extremely disappointed by it, it was a slog to read for me. Hey the title of the thread is good book not great books. But honestly its not as good as people hype it to be.

Wow I'm surprised by myself. I was at wal*mart. And I went into the books and magazine and looked at the sub par selection of literature. There a found a single copy of Twilight. Being as I was in need of a book. I grabbed it and started reading on the ride home. To my surprise the book is quite good. I haven't been able to put it down. So I shall now put back all words put toward this book. It's good so far.

The only Dragonlance books I remember reading were "The Legend of Huma" and "Kaz the Minotaur." I know I read more but I can't recall the names, it was like 7 years ago. Those were good, so I take back what I said. Catcher in the Rye was one of the worst books I ever read. I want to read Nueromancer if I get the time and the book. Catcher in The Rye is awesome whachu talkin about! Well other good/better books would be like Enders Game or 1984
