I like Heavy Metal it is my form of poetry, I use it as a means of expressing my emotions so to speak. It soothes me, I dont really have favorite bands I go moreso by the song then anything else.

I find that heavy metal poetry is hard to create. Gothic poetry, on the other hand, is quite easy. Just try to imagine the worst fate that could beseige someone, and expand.

I do enjoy a lot of songs off of the Vol. 3: The subliminal verses. But then, some of their songs on there were iffy. I think Vermillion Part 2 makes up for all the bad though.

Vermillion Pt. 2 is too country-like. A lot of songs on Subliminal Verses are, but they do have a few good songs, like Duality, Before I Forget, and Pulse of the Maggots. I think that Iowa is Slipknot's best album thus far.

Other good metal bands are Atreyu, In Flames, Static-X, System of a Down, old Metallica, Blind Guardian, Megadeth, and Helloween. I need to get more of the last two though.

A few good songs by Helloween are March of Time, We Burn, and Eagle Fly Free. You should definatly download them when you get the chance. I agree about the part about Old metallica being better. St. Anger was an embarresment to metal everywhere.
