I THINK THAT WHOEVER YOU LOVE U SHOULD BE ABLE TO TO GET MARRIED TO. SIMPLE AS THAT. HOWEVER PRIESTS SHOULDNT HAVE 2 BE FORCED TO MARRY A GAY COUPLE. NOBODY SHOULD BE FORCED TO DO ANYTHING(accept obey the law and pay ur taxes)

Love is love, you cant predict who you will fall in love with. But if you wanta spend the rest of your life with that person, you should be able to marry that person. Be it, same sex or opposite sex. Who has the right to deny a loving couple the same rights as other loving couples just b/c they are the same sex. They will just be loving to any kids under their care as any heterosexual couple. Be it from adoption or invetrofertilzation. I find it hard to believe people are willing to revoke rights to same sex couples, just because they are same sex couples.

i just think its cromasone(sp?) they have just barly enough X cromasone
the Y. so it make them a girly man. or its just what people think is appeling to them. we may never know what makes a gay person gay, its just a fact of life some people (homophobes)dont accept it some do its all opinon.

And ginta: It has nothing to do with chomosones. We already have all 23 pairs mapped out and know what each controls. You have no better chance of being gay just cause your parents were.

Moderate. Let me just get this out ahead of time, in case anything I say sounds a bit mean: I have absolutely no problem with gays. It's their life style, not mine. I'm not going to choose that life style, but I say live and let live. The thought of making out with another woman kind of bothers me, but that's me. What can I say, I like my men. : P
There are pros and cons to allowing gays to marry. Like it was said before, the divorce rate would more than likely rise quite a bit as people decide they want to try out this whole gay thing... and then come to find it isn't for them. People are curious by nature, and I'm positive it will happen.
As for if it's a choice or genetics, I'm deffinately on the side of choice. I know nothing about human genetics, so I really can't say if it is or isn't, but I know quite a few gays and a hand full of bi's who choose to go for it.
As far as adoption goes... I'm torn on that one. There are plenty of straight couples out there who want kids but can't conceive. Then again, there are plenty of kids out there who are stuck in the foster system until they're old enough to leave it on their own. My uncle and his partner adopted to kids from a drug addicted, alcoholic mother who was in no way at all fit to care for a baby, and those two are getting along fine. On the flipside, the oldest of the two is getting to the age where she's realizing that most kids have a Mommy and Daddy, not a Papi and Daddy. :/ She's more than likely going to be picked on for her parents' life style, which isn't fair at all. So in the end, I just don't really know which way is right in that arena.

I'm all for gays getting married. This will really help the world's population problems because gays, you know, can't have children. The population is already growing at an incredable rate, so couples not having children will help a lot. Though, I personally am not gay.

And I have nothing against gays or straights or bisexuals, but I think that it's sad that gays exist, because that's nature's way of saying "STOP HAVING BABIES YOU MORONS!!"
Personally, think I bi's just appreciate beauty more, or just enjoy sex more. Either/or.

I'm really failing to see why just because somebody's gay, they automatically can't have children. Sure this may have been true in the past, and technically they can't, but with today's technology a lot of couples are having the children they desire to have, and quite contrary to popular belief, a lot of gay couples would like to raise children of their own. Sure they may not be popping them out like popcorn, but it's not like civilization would cease to exist.

We know what they control. One pair is for eye color, another is for skin color, another is for gender, another is for height. All of them are physical traits, not mental/hormonal. However, they can predict genetic disorders, such as Down Syndrome (in which case they have 24 pairs, not 23. ) If their was a "gay" gene, how is it that two completely straight parents and grandparents can end up with a gay child?

I support same sex marrage, just because love is love. I don't think it's fair to tell someone they can't have a ceremony to bond with there lover for life just because there lover is someone of the same sex.
Also because I am bi. ^^
@Marshjazz - We are all entitled to our opinion, I highly doubt adoption agencies will go empty, there are PLENTY of kids for everyone to adopt.
Also, Adoption agencies can't pick and choose who gets the kids. They can't say, "Oh, your a gay couple and can't have a kid for real, so you get this one." They have to reaserch which family would be best for the child, and which family the child likes more.
@Remove - Homosexuality isn't a choice, sure some people do it for attention, I know a couple people who did, but people who are truly homosexual don't have a choice, and I am speaking from experiance. I thought I was straight for years, Then I met a girl and fell inlove with her, not by choice. I didn't say "Hey, that girl is hot, I'm gonna be bi so I can be inlove with her."
@Courtney Blake - I totally agree, it pisses me off when someone says "God loves everyone" then turns around and says "God hates gay people"
@Katersaur - Some kids will get picked on for having Gay parents. But going into high school and stuff, it will most likely stop. A friend of mine got picked on about it in middle school. Now in high school everyone is maturing (Well, some) and it gets to the point where no one cares anymore.
@Fira - I don't really think gays have anything to do with people needing to stop having kids, gay people were around before population problems.

I also support it, it's their life so I don't see why people make such a big deal about it. I think the fact that they have to tolerate so much from other people makes the bond between them closer than that of a straight marriage, and is more likely to stay together for longer because the bond is stronger. Our society is more tolerant towards gays then it was, say, a hundred years ago, but still gays are facing alot for something that they can't help. It's not as if they can reprogram themselves and change who they are.

Mine are that if you are in love then you are. I dont think one chooses to be gay its just the way they are. I could never wake up and just say...ok today I'm deciding to be gay from now on. Tell me what you think? <3 It's none of my business of other people are gay or not. I'm not, but I have no problem with people who are. People are saying that gay marriage breaks the sacred sanctity of marriage, but in my mind, marriage doesn't seem to be held as sacred today, with so many unmarried people living together and quick divorces. To me, a gay couple who stays married their entire lives is more sacred marriage than a man and woman who marry and divorce within a year.

Marriage is union between people who love each other. That's how it started.
People back then didn't think of man on man action, or woman on woman action.
Let's keep it to the basics, honestly..
If you love someone enough, marry them. Bringing things like sex/race/disabilities or whatever into the picture complicates love more then it should be.
