Yepyep, I pick up pennies. :3 I'm not sure why. Its just so tempting, ya know?
I'm walking along... and I just see one. Wide out in the open. I can hear it screaming "PICK ME UP!", yet nobody else can. :0
....
:'DDD
And I like to see what year it was manufactured during, too. <3

Quarters > Pennies. I would pick up a quarter, but not a penny.

I would pick up a penny only if it was heads up. I'm a very superstitious person. And for a good reason.

It all really depends on the shininess and location of the penny in question, it's position, and the ease at which it might be picked up.
A lot of effort goes into my penny picking. rofl
In all seriousness, I think it just varies on my mood. I'm more likely to pick up larger valued currency than pennies. I do have a lot of change in my room that I've picked up though. About thirty or so dollars worth.

It depends on where I'd find it. If it's in a city area, no. Someone most likely spit where it is laying, sucked on the penny, did drugs off of it, or put it in their pocket after peeing and not washing their hands.

I'm a germaphobe. ;D I personally don't like touching money at all due to that fact.

Pennies are borderline worthless. There's a rumor the government is going to take them out of mint because inflation has made 1 cent so insignificant, and the copper could go to other uses.

I don't pick up pennies because it's a pain to stop and use any change lower than a loonie. Thanks to inflation and the cost of copper, the Canadian government is supposedly thinking of retiring the penny since it costs 13 cents to make one penny. If it costs more than a penny to make a penny, why hasn't this been retired ages ago? confused
