The term "emo" will probably go away some day, but not anytime soon. And I do agree with all the preteen pictures, along with the hate forums.

If that scares you, don't go to the GD. Most of the forum is just...terrible, from what I've seen. The stupid people piss me off.
Emo kids will never go away. I think emo kids are cute, personally, though everyone hates them. >_>;

I don't know why people are so quick to label themselves emo... It confuses me. Modesty is going out the window, as the other generations are quick to point out. But what can you do? No, you are not old! ^^

Well I'm 21 and you're definitely not too old for Gaia! Infact you're not old at all. Everyone else is just young. I'm fed up of being flamed because I'm more mature. And as for emo...people should stop trying to follow a trend! Be emo you're own way...oh that's right..you can't. =/

You are in no way old, I'm 23 also not married but with a kid, love him to death. I have ran into the stupid young kids who say they are 12 or 13 or whatever and are freaked out cause I'm in my twentys with a kid, yeah it's kind of funny. the whole emo thing is way overdone but i have to be honest I had never even heard the word emo until I started playing on here again. half naked teenagers are just wrong I agree but not much we can do about besides teaching our own kids not to do that stuff. I stay away from forums just for the fact that there is just to much stupid s**t in them and I don't feel like dealing with it. So yeah I totally agree with you.

I don't get kids these days... this emo thing.... some of my younger friends were emo for like... 3 months, and now they deny it as if they are really ashamed of it, or just swear that it never happened o.o
and you're not old, i'm 23 too

I hate all the labels these days. Especially the emo and goth ones.
I know what emo is, and I hate the fact that if you say you're emo, people think you cut yourself and what-not. Then again, why say you're emo, when you're parents love, you have good friends, and you'd get anything you want?
I'm in the younger generation, and I have to put up with the morons that accuse you of being something that you aren't ><""" See, people accuse me of being goth, just because I decided to wear a black shirt and black pants with the only pairof shoes I have, which are black. That doesn't mean I'm goth or emo, it just means that I have a system of what I wear each day ><
Hopefully, the trend will stop after kids realize how stupid it is.
To me, you aren't old. You're still young in my opinion^^

For some reason, it is thought of as cool to use the word "emo" to describe someone, or yourself, even if it is misused. Personally, I think it can make people look ignorant if used improperly. It's one of those words that people have used so much in a different way then what it originally meant that its original meaning holds little bearing. Almost like how gay used to mean happy, not homosexuality.
I'm not a big fan of hate threads either. I've had enough negativity in my life in the past and I've been doing great lately, so I try to steer away from stuff like that and be in a happy place. And I got paid today so that means I'm getting my nails done and shopping. <3

First off you're definitely not old. With that said,
Emo is quite the trend.. from emo clothes to emo hair.. i nearly cried at first when i got my hair cut off because i was like "I have the typical girl emo hair *tear*" but my friends were just like, it suits you well and it doesn't make you look emo, it's just different from the flowing locks you once had. lol
I personally can't stand this "emo" thing any more.. a friend of mine is a typical, sterotyped emo.. he always tells us he's not but i guess he told someone else that he was without any complaints, surprising. I'm nearly 18, so almost an adult myself... with that comes more responsibilities.
As for the young children acting so crazy now a days, i honestly don't agree with it, I never grew up in an environment where you had to be this and you had to dress in gross, you can see skin every where, kinda clothes. Yet I see children as young as my sister's age dressing like that... and honestly who is to blame? Children don't just do things like that without influence, and most adults are not being good influences these days, letting children get away with saying and doing such things.
My god, a few weeks ago we were waiting for the bus and there were these kids not older then 8 or 9. The mouth on them was horrible. Every other word that came out of their mouth was a swear word. No respect for any one around them and i was just like "I wonder who they belong to" I can't handle children these days and i feel bad that my sister has to grow up in this era, (with her only being 9 and born in 1997) I find kids are trying to grow up a lot quicker now a days. stare What they don't understand is that this is the best time to enjoy life, with little responsibilities to worry about and money not being an issue for them... as long as the parents keep it between just the parents and not blame the children for their money problems, it's wrong to do that....
(Honestly, i want to work with children when i get older.. if I can even help one kid in their life I know I did some thing good to help mold one kid into being a better person in life)
Adults are not so innocent themselves, they are a big influence to children since they are the authority to them.

I'm not that much younger then you, I find that speaking to people older then myself is much more interesting, they actually know what the hell they're talking about and you can carry on a good conversation most of the time. ... and as I've said, I'm 17 going on 18 in October.. god, if i didn't want to stay behind for an extra year I would've been getting ready for college this fall. (which can be a scary but fun thought) Also, emo is just basically the french word for emotional.. i don't understand HOW that became a trend... being emotional is good, let's you know you're alive.. but this whole emo crap makes it seem like being emotional means cutting your wrist and crying all day over heartbreaking songs... it's stupid. So... i must be a big emo because I can be quite the emotional beast if i get into something.
