Yu-Gi-Oh! was one of my favorite series! I only watched the English version, so I have to say my favorite character was Joey Wheeler in terms of names. Please, don't shhot me down! D:
Once I hearn about GX, I couldn't really get into it. I know, I know, I didn't give it a chance. But really, from what I've seen, it can't bet the original. Plus, where's Yugiiii? D:
Did you know the guy that voiced Pegasus also voices James from Pokemon?

I don't watch YuGiOh anymore.. I don't know anything about the GX version.
But I liked Kaiba the best. ;]

Dranzer_shadow_wanderer I can't believe I'm making a thread of this... but I'm curious. What are your views of both the old and new series? Favorite characters/monsters and why? how far are you into the series? have you ever played the card game?
I was young so..I liked it. A lot.
Joey was my favorite and my favorite monster was Blue Eyes White Dragon because it was rad.
Stop watching it when I was 10.
Big into the card game. I was ******** amazing.

This is my kind of thread I was and still am I strong yugioh follower... i love the first one and i have seen most of the series... My favorite monster was always gaia the fiere knight.
I didnt liek the second one that much at all but I watched just for the battling sake and yes I was huge in battling contests every saturday. I have a card collection I have been building close to if not more than 2k cards all in a huge book in categories and everything and still have some that arent in yet.
although my favorite character has always been Tristen

I liked the ones from the beginning of the series, but only up to after YuGi wins over Marik. After that, it got really repetitive in the storyline (another battle tournament like Pegasus' neutral ) I find the newer ones (GX I think?) kind of dumb and usually the original characters are always better (similar to pokemon).
My favorite is Change of Heart. A very nicely drawn card that lets me take control of someone else's monster. biggrin
I only have one game that was for GBColor. It came with 2 cards that I thought was kind of cool. But that was a LONG time ago so I don't really remember the name of it.... It was ok, but nothing compared to the RPGs I usually play. gonk

I like the plots of the old series but I like the new cards in the new series... I do collect them.

TV shows are real not that good if you want Yugioh read the manga. Read all the stuff that happens before dulest kingdom.

I used watch Yugioh religiously, back in the day. Pegasus's Dualist Kingdom and the whole arc with the three Egyptian god cards...I loved it!
Yugioh is also what got me into fanfiction....I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not though...^^;

*still likes Yugioh* If the first season being Duelist Kingdom/Battle City/ect. and the second one being GX, I'd say the first fo sho. =3
I remember when I was younger, I was obsessed with the show on Kids WB. My sister and I were always like: "YAMI'S SO SMEXY!!11" I collect the manga now though. (And watch it on Saturdays...>>)
The Abridged Series is so much win. Dx  ...and the start of the dream...

I used to obsess about it, until I found out all the yu-gi-oh players were like geeks. Also they killed the tv show with GX. GX sucks man, c'mon a card playing academy!? Yeah right...
