I have to get a tetanus shot this Wednesday crying .

Its not that bad actually. Just relax and it shouldn't be too bad. 3nodding

I'll try to relax when the doctor shoves the needle in my arm stare

It helps a lot. Just focus on something good when you get it.

oh god I remember I had to take an allergy test and got like 40-something shots in my arms, then another 40 in my back.


then of course, I got a flu vaccine while I was there, just because it was on my mind.

Yup, after the first second its not bad. Then ya just need to sit there and wait for it to end.

@Sonic; 40!? I don't think I'd ever be able to handle that many at one time. gonk I've never gotten a flu vaccine, and I've never even gotten the flu.
But 40 shots in your arms and back. gonk Scary. -hugs-

My mom wants me to be a doctor, because I always knew some things about medicine and disease and needles that shes never even heard of. But I hate seeing needles being given. D: Creepy sight.

...And got another shot for something. I've gotten it done before, twice actually, its never really been bad but this time it hurt like hell. D:
Both me and my sister got it done for the third time, and it hurt us both. A lot. I'm used to getting shots but this one just really bothered me.
My arm is still sore from it. I can still see where she put the needle in. sad
Well now its done, and I won't have to get it anymore. Which is good.
Anyone here got any painful doctor experiences?

i think i got the same shot as you >.> i have to get three of them and it left my arm sore for two weeks and it hurt when she poked my arm with the needle.

Dentists are the worst.
"YOU CAN'T BE AFRAID OF NEEDLES WHEN YOU HAVE PIERCINGS biggrin biggrin biggrin HERE COMES THE ANAESHETICT NEEDLE!"
And that needle hurts more than the whole procedure would without anaesthetics.

When I was pregnant I had to get my blood drawn four times in one day, sucked hard core. My arm was sore afterwards... so many holes and bruises...

When I was 3, I had pneumonia, so doctors would come in every hour giving me medicine through needles and taking my blood. I believe that's where my fear of everything doctor related came about. I really hate needles. neutral

I feel bad when babies have to get shots. One time my little brother had to get like 5 shots when he was one year old. He was screaming his head off! They don't know what the hell is going on, all they know is that some person they've never seen before is sticking them with something.

Hmm.. I used to love getting my blood drawn and shots... until I needed surgery on my big toe. When the doctor injected the numbing stuff into my toe, he missed and scraped the bone. gonk Ever since then, I have hated anything to do with needles.

I don't mind shots now, but when I was a little kid I used to "hide" under a chair so I wouldn't have to get them. gonk

I've had to get a lot of shots recently...The first one didn't hurt that bad, but when I went back the next time a different nurse was giving it to me, and it hurt like hell!
