Sanoskue nuzzled her softly, "Thanks, I don't want to lose you just because I can't keep up."

Kanti whined softly and pressed against his side, tucking her head under his. “I wouldn’t let that happen. I don’t want to lose you either Sanoskue,” she said gently.  

[Kaito Kajuji]

Sanoskue licked her cheek gently, "I love you." He said quietly

“I love you too,” Kanti said just as quietly. Her tail wagged slightly as she leaned against him.

"We should get going." He said gently.

Kanti sighed and nodded. “You’re right. Follow me.” She got up and began to move off toward the valley, where the village was.

Sanoskue followed after her, treading lightly, to try and not fall through the snow again.

They trekked through the snow for most of the day, until the sun rose high in the sky. Finally though they both needed to rest and Kanti stopped at the top of a large hill, giving them a panoramic view of the village below. “How are you holding up Sanoskue?” Kanti asked, panting lightly.

Sanoskue sat down next to her, barely winded at all, "Not bad, nice view though." He commented.

“Mmm, isn’t though?” Kanti said softly as she gazed out over the village. “My pack is in that forest on the other side there, see? It’ll be nice to see them again and to run through the forest…I’ve always thought there’s no forest quite like that one…” She sighed softly.

"Don't worry, we'll reach them soon enough. Then you can be happy." He said, leaning gently on her.

Kanti looked at him, surprised. “I’m happy now Sanoskue. This is just one of those things I have to do. After I talk to my pack, I’m yours.”

Sanoskue smiled and licked her muzzle, "So your not going to leave me?" He asked softly.

“Oh Sanoskue, no! No I’ll never leave you. I love you too much,” she said just as softly as her tail wagged gently and she licked his muzzle a few times, whining softly.

"I'm glad then...I was kind of worried you'd leave me when you got back to your pack."
