But like I always say, that way you're getting two completely different stories. You're basically getting two versions of Resident Evil. What's so bad about that?

Actually, if you think about it, there's Raccoon city, zombie invasion, Umbrella, T-Virus, Liker, Cerberus, Nemesis, and some of the characters. The overall setting and how the police hod no clue how to handle the zombies.

What I mean is, it's impossible to meld the storylines together. It's impossible to say, "Yeah, the movie and hte came could happen in one universe" because first of all, by the time the movie happens, Raccoon City should be long destroyed. Second, the events that happen to Jill, Carlos are different, Nicholai is a completely different character, etc.
