Dillys Silvio
Day: 4
Path: East side - C

Dillys followed his sibling as she rushed ahead. The shuttle else had been pleasant enough but his sister and he both wanted to get more information about the situation. So far they hadn't really gotten a lot of, but hopefully, that would change soon enough. As Connie began climbing the tall ladder his eyes widened. Was that really a good idea? Frowning as she already had a good head start, Dillys began climbing up after her.

Sonnie DeFrog
Day 4
Path: B => C => E => C
Choice: C

He knew what he wanted. He wanted to climb that tower, definitely. Sonnie was so fond of climbing trees in the swamp, and just hanging out on the canopy. The thrill of climbing was exactly what he wanted right now. So he clambered up, making his way up the massive tower.

At the top of the tower, Sonnie paused to survey the land. A small laugh escaped him, then he covered his mouth. He looked around to see if any trolls were watching, then shouted gibberish to the sky. After a good moment of yelling, he turned away with a soft, satisfied smile.

Tsarzi Ameroc
Day 4
Path: C. Climb the tower!

It would seem foraging off on her own would be more beneficial than trying to eke more answers from anyone. They were woefully sparse with their information and directions. The best assessment she could make of the situation is the security breach really was a very minot concern or else they would be putting a little more effort into helping this issue resolve itself. Instead the task had been delegated to volunteers with barely a lead on what they were after aside from security pings. That told her little to nothing except that suspicious activity was afoot. Nothing more, nothing less.

At this point, checking things out on her own and giving the sites a good once over seemed the best bet. Doing so on foot could take some time and expend a lot more energy than necessary. Tsarzi swept her gaze over the platform, practically deserted but with some other volunteers scuttling around. Nearby was a tower which could offer a good vantage point try nad spot anything out of place from.

NIGHT FIVE

If choice A, AA was chosen: You end up finding... something!

No one has unlocked this ending yet!

--

IF choice B, D was chosen: You end up in the lead offices!
You make it to the lead offices. The head honchos, the big cheeses. This seems like a good place to try and sabotage, steal and otherwise be suspicious around. Near the designer offices you spot a shadow flicker behind the design offices, and hear a door close. When you turn the corner, one of the huge garbage receptacles that has been curiously shuffling comes to a quiet stop. Upon further inspection of the area, you notice a few shoe marks - they don’t appear to be boot tracks, but fancy sneakers leading to the largest of the offices. Which final lead do you pursue?

A. Shadowy mysteries

B. Garbage adventures

C. Shoe enigmas

--

IF choice C, E was chosen: You end up at the bird’s eye view!

NOTE: there was an error in the text. choosing "go to lead offices" in choice E ended up leading to the bird's eye view. Oops! Feel free to choose either to get lost and end up at the bird's eye view or proceed to the lead offices if you chose E.

This vantage point is incredible! It’ll take you a while longer to get down from here, but you swear you can see your hive from here. Something peculiar appears to be inside of a large char mark near the launch site. A large mechanical object (is it moving?) is on the ground, surrounded by other bits and bobs. All of them look like rubble from this distance. You also swear you can see something glinting in the distance - a troll-like figure ducking under the interior site infrastructure! And what’s this? A pale blur zipping past the launchpad? You hear the sound of an alarming crash after your eyes adjust to the fast-moving figure.

There’s a lot to take in - what do you pursue?

D. Mystery machine

E. Troll maybe

F. Crash landing conundrum

--

IF choice F, G was chosen: You end up at the exterior barricades!

The exterior barricades are a high-tech combination of classic neon structures and high fences, which clearly tell the layman: GET OUT! Anyone caught here is surely up to something. You start walking along the perimeter when you notice some very tall grass. Unlike the rest of the shrubbery which is relatively still in the night’s calm, this one is moving suspiciously. You begin to give it a wide berth when you notice a hubbub beginning to bubble up on the other side of the barricade. Your position could be compromised if you show yourself too soon, so you could wait for the strangers to get closer before investigating. Finally, you notice an odd path where flowers have been picked - and something shimmering from the overgrown floral bushes growing around the fences.

What do you pursue?

G. The peculiar grasses

H. The floral funkiness

I. The oncoming crowd

You have a pretty solid idea of what you’re dealing with by the time you come across the dubiously equine tracks in the dirt near the outskirts of the construction sites. A lusus stands tall at the end of the trail. It looks like a horse with a lion’s tail. It nickers nervously at your presence, then opens its mouth all the way. Its skull splits open like a crocodile’s and it screams at you. It clearly doesn’t want you bothering it, but the lusus isn’t supposed to be hanging around here either. It huffs and scratches at the bulldozed remains of an old hive protectively.

[Now it’s up to you! Decide (between yourself and whoever else has found this result at the same time as you) in simple terms which action to take, and then submit it here with a short RP response and quote the mule. Your RP may be more extensive, but please keep your CYOA action short and sweet, such as “Question what they are doing here,” “Engage them in combat,” “Tell them to go away,” “Pie them in the face,” et cetera. Please only submit one CYOA action for the ‘group’ that has found this result on a given day. If you encounter a scenario someone has already responded to, your troll approaches the scene just after the preceding troll(s) and you may respond accordingly.]

IF choice GG was chosen: You end up finding a sleeping drone!

blackbird cake

The grass is so tall and thick around here it’s hard to move. Your surroundings tangle at your legs, shuffling and… snoring? There’s a sharp grunt as your foot hits something solid and you’re suddenly thrown to the ground.

“H-Hey man! Uncool.” The mask of a drone fills your vision. The armored claw refuses to lift off your torso, even as the security drone regains their composure. “You’re just ground crew, right? No one knows you’re here?” The drone speaks in a hushed tone. It’s hard to tell with their visor, but they seem to be looking around suspiciously.

“You’ve got no idea how hard they’ve been working us security drones since this whole thing started. Higher-ups are so scared of another space tower incident I haven’t slept in weeks. If you rat me out I’ll get moved off perimeter duty and Gl’b knows when I’ll find another nap spot! You wouldn’t do that to a down-on-his-luck drone would you?”

You follow the picked flowers down the perimeter and come across a shiny pink gem. When you go to pick it up, you hear a small gasp.

“Oh! You found it!”

A small orangeblood stands before you, her sleeves rolled up and arms filled with flowers. “Oh, I feel so silly. I was harvesting some of these pretty wildflowers as a thank you gift for my friends, and my necklace broke! I hope I didn’t cause any fuss.”

Once up at the top, he took a moment to appreciate the view it gave them. They could see... everything up up here! The entire ground crew work areas were laid out before them, and much more. Mihail looked back to Knetic and grinned, letting go of his hand again. 'This is cool'

Looking back to the ground below, he spotted three things. A troll, a strange machine... and a blur. Now, the blur was confusing, but the troll... the troll piqued his interest. 'Let's go find that troll.' He pointed below to where the troll had disappeared, then re-took Knetic's hand to head back down the tower.

"Th-this is..." Cynril mumbled as he watched the view up high. This was probably the tallest structure he had ever climb! He couldn't believe the breath taking view, he couldn't even believe that he actually managed to climb up there-- on his own!

No Byakko didn't have to pressure him into climbing or anyone else! Cynril managed by using his own abilities. Tears formed in his eyes as he realized this. Maybe, just maybe...

"This is so cool!" Maybe he wasn't as bad as he always thought.

Then what appeared to be cool and mazing quickly changed into something troubling. Normally, he wouldn't consider investigating but with his newfound confidence, he decided to try go after the machine thing. He just needed to come down as fast as he could!

Maybe whatever that was could be useful for the swamp!

I. The oncoming crowd

Of course, Masoal put up with Floren's rant, but only because he was leading the way. Occasionally he snorted, but still, the unsocialized tealblood couldn't say he was wrong. If the staff members were in charge around here, and they were all supposed to be older, bigger, and stronger, then why were the volunteers the ones out running around looking for trouble (even if Masoal was only looking for the exit). He wasn't as dumb as his leaps to aggression often made him seem.

This situation, though... "It's dumb," he agreed. It was the most he would say on the matter.

"Look. Trolls." And a lot of them for whatever reason. "What are they doing?"

Night: 5
Choice: (Apibom and Sephos) Shoo it away

Sephos frowned at the animal, a little put out by its display. But it wasn't supposed to be here. Ruins or not, it was supposed to be away, right?

He'd dealt with scary animals stomping in his garden before. Normally, he'd have his lusus with him, but he was big and strong and could handle this. It wasn't a robot, after all.

"Stay back." he told the yellowblood, before approaching the lusus. "Go away!" he yelled suddenly, "Get out of here!" if he had to wrangle it, he would. He'd done it before, though not always with good results.

Still, in this case, a garden wasn't involved. This was for the animal's own good. It wasn't supposed to be here, after all...

"Rar! Shoo!"

Those noises usually worked.

Quella Fehtan
Day:5
Path: B => C => F => DD => HH

Quella, head bent over while she sniffed after the trail of picked flowers, almost ran headfirst into the other two trolls skulking around the garden. A greenblood and an orangeblood, wandering where they didn't belong. Quella sprang back, surprised.

"You two! What are you doing here! Explain yourselves!" She yelled, then realized she recognized them from the ground control party. They were eating cake with everyone else, which meant they couldn't possibly be the trolls trying to sabotage the ground control work. The blueblood relaxed, and rubbed her braids sheepishly.

"Er, sorry about that. I guess you two just surprised me. I wasn't expecting anyone else to be around here. You're uh... Poe and um, Pennie, right? Have you seen anyone else running around the garden? We're looking for suspicious ne'er-do-wells."

There was a rustling from some nearby grass as another orangeblood with an armful of flowers stepped out into the field. Quella let out a little gasp, and pointed right at the newcomer.

"A suspicious ne'er-do-well!" the blueblood yelled, dropping into a battle stance.

Apibom Honeii

Choice: A --> B --> C --> AA --> FF --> Api and Sephos shoo the lusus away

Oh, oh no. Apibom eyed the lusus as it screamed at them, instinctively reaching up to cover their ears. The hive the lusus was poking around in... they'd helped demolish this, hadn't they? Where was their charge? "Y-You have to go...! Where's your troll?" They managed to raise their voice loud enough to be heard over any noises the lusus might be making, but... they just didn't have the heart to press. They rubbed at their eyes- oh this was pulling at their pusher strings.

Sephos's shout startled them, making them jump a little. They scooted back, bees taking flight to buzz in circles around their charge. They were upset, so the drones were going to start getting testy if this other lusus didn't calm down or leave.

Path B => C => F => DD => HH => Panili

Selune had grabbed the gem out of reflex, but with it in her hands she had time to really look at it. It was beautiful. The greenblood was hardly paying attention to what else was going on around her as she cupped the precious gem in her hands. She had found many a pretty rock here and there, but none of her rocks shined like this. She quickly hid the gem in her pocket as two other trolls approached. No one could know, it was hers now. "Uh, hi!" She said to the other two trolls. She recognized them from the swamp. No one could get away with living in the swamp and not at least seeing every face that lived there, even if Selune had never talked to the other two before. It made her smile brighten up a bit more. Known faces were always welcome.

Then Quella bared her teeth again as another troll came into view. Recognition made her hesitate. She was pretty sure she knew this troll... Panili? From the Lightseekers? Yeah that sounded familiar. Hey eyes widened as Quella took an aggressive stance. "Quella wait!" Selune called out as she took the blueblood's other hand. "I, uh, im pretty sure i know her, see? Panili i think?" Of course knowing who she was was different from knowing why she was here. It all seemed pretty suspicious to her...

"This is cool, isn't it?" He signs back quickly, squeezing the hand Mihail takes. He nods and gestures for his friend to lead the way. They had a troll to find and there was no way they were gonna quit.

Tsarzi Ameroc
Day 5
Path: F. Crash landing conundrum

From this height, the view was certainly impressive. Scanning below, she could see the edges of the work site, could pick out the places carves into the wildlife where other work sites were. Over near the offices had some traffic, shuttles were moving in and out. Below she could see some points of interest, a troll weaving around suspiciously and a sputtering machine of some kind.

Well, she wasn't sure if it was a troll, but the quick moving blur was perhaps concerning.

At the very least the blur seemed to be on course to meet some resistance and while she wanted to know what it was and what it thought it was doing, she wanted to know about why there was something smoking in the ground unattended. It was likely some high heat debris from when the platform launched, but the scorch marks made her want to be sure there was no risk left of anything catching fire.

She cracked her neck and rolled her shoulders. Back down the ladder then.

PostPosted: Sat Dec 02, 2017 6:44 pm
"U-uh. Uhhhh..." Wander froze, surprised by all these trolls all of a sudden. Her hand pawed around for Poe's to hold. The rest of her wanted to hide behind him, but she had to be stronger than that! She blinked at the situation at hand. She and Poe had run into the culprit of the flower-picking, plus two other trolls on the same trail.

Now she just had to figure out what in the world was going on between them in the last two seconds. And what to do in general!

Okay, okay, okay. Breathe. Clues sat all around, just piece them together!

"I-I don't th-think she's a...d-d-do-ell. Sh-she said she was p-picking flowers..." And the proof sure was right there.

"Um..." Wander looked back at the others, then to Panili. "Y-you were w-working on the s-sites, I th-think... W-with the r-rest of us. H-hi. I'm Pennie. S-sorry if we startled you... I-I guess y-you weren't at the after-party, so. Th-there were some security breaches a-and we're trying to figure out who caused them. H-have you seen a-anyone else w-while you were out here?"

Choice: Panili!

Poe pulled his darts out of his pocket, gripping it tightly and looking suspiciously at the blueblood who yelled at him. He belonged here! Him and Wander both! Though, he relaxed slightly when she seemed to know their names. He also recognized the other greenblood from the swamp, but, still.

And not even just these two, Poe was confused when at the end of the path, there wasn't some shady intruder after all. Instead, a small, delicate looking brownblood. Picking flowers, for her friends. Wasn't she aware of the breaches? How did she get all the way over here?

His free hand held tight to Wander, tense. He was still gripping the darts in his other as he glanced toward Panili. She didn't seem dangerous and... "Um, yeah. Just. If you saw something that might be suspicious, or something, like that," he said. "We were investigating."
