Jounouchi "eeped," quickly flinching away from the poke, "Yuugiii..." he whined, "Don't do that!" he pouted slightly, "And I always thought I had payed attention to your type of movie."
"Guess you're not as observant as you thought, eh Jounouchi?" Honda teased.
Jounouchi suddenly stopped in his tracks, surprised to see... was that...? Yes, Malik was heading towards the petshop that they were right near... that same one from earlier today. Had he really waited that long to go get the cat...?

The voices were very loud. And very bothersome. Before opening the metallic pet shop door he turned to see where the voices were coming from. Was that Jounouchi? Running into him twice in one day... how odd? He wasn't sure about greeting him at this moment... after all that had happened, maybe it was too soon to be on such a friendly bases. And then the matter of Jounouchi's friends. What if they weren't accepting. Malik turned quickly to face the door... maybe they hadn't seen him.
Yuugi noticed Jounouchi stop abruptly. " Hey Jounouchi... what'd you stop for." He met the other's eyes, and followed their path. He was staring at someone... who was that? What a sec... the figure before them seemed very familiar...
Anzu must've realized the same thing. "Malik..?" She said quietly, blue eyes widening in awe.

"Yeah, I think that is him..." Honda said squinting in Malik's direction.
"But what would Malik be doing here...?" Bakura asked quietly.
Jounouchi, completely on instinct, suddenly took off towards Malik at a dash, "Hey, Malik!" he called cheerily, approaching the other blond, "Here to get that cat?"

Anzu exchanged a confused glance with Yuugi who looked equally confused.
Malik flinched at the sound of Jounouchi's voice. It wasn't Jounouchi who irked him, it was the fact his friends were with him... damn it... time to put on his best smile.
"Hey Jounouchi." He responded casually waving a hand in the wave, and smiling warmly. "Fancy running into you again." Malik made sure his voice sounded extra kind, as he knew the others were probably watching and imposing their judgment on him. He was the type who wanted to make the proper impression on people. "And yea, I did come to get the kitten. Couldn't get that face out of my mind, I suppose."
"Yuugi... what's with the sudden familiarity between the two of them...?" Anzu asked, blue eyes flickering in curiosity.
"I don't know... do you guys think this has to do with the fact that he was so late to my house earlier? It's just strange cause I didn't think he even liked Malik... y'know after everything that happened..."
(Our posts looks so colorful lately! =B It makes me happy! ^^)

"Actually... I thought Jounouchi hated Malik..." Honda commented, "Should one or more of us go up there to see what's up...?"
Jounouchi laughed, "Well, that was a pretty adorable cat." he suddenly paused, then closed the gap between Malik and himself, whispering to him, "Hey... has anything else weird happened yet today...?"

"I didn't think it'd be this easy for Jounouchi to forgive Malik... I mean, Jounouchi is a great guy... but, what happened between the two of them was very personal..." Yuugi frowned. "If you want to go talk to them, then go for it Honda. I'm not sure about interfering though."
Anzu nodded in agreement with Yuugi. This was too weird.
Malik's eyes widened, and he also lowered his voice the moment the conversation turned, "Well, not yet. Not since you left. Everything seems okay." He smiled sincerely, "Don't worry too much about me. Just take care of yourself."
(XD How fitting!)

Honda sighed, "I'm worried but... I think you're right Yuugi; we probably shouldn't just waltz up there. Maybe wait till Jounouchi notices that he's left us behind...?"
Jounouchi laughed, "Just making sure." he pulled away with a grin, "That's good though that things have been pretty normal. Nothing weird's happened for me either." he suddenly realized that he had just run off from his friends. This must be pretty awkward he imagined. "Oh, crap, I guess I should've said something to everyone..." he looked back over at Yuugi and the gang, "This must seem strange to them; they didn't even know you were here."

Yuugi shrugged and then gave a quick nod, wearing a small uneasy frown.
Malik nodded, "Yea. I just hope they aren't upset or anything. I wouldn't want to come between the bond you have with your friends..." He sighed, and scratched his chin, "I suppose a proper greeting would help dispense the awkwardness..."

Jounouchi laughed awkwardly, "Yeah, good idea." he nodded, "I really don't think they mind though. The only person in our group who I could see being a bit sore is Honda, and you didn't do anything to him during Battle City." he waved over to the group, "Hey, sorry for running off like that guys! Mind getting over here real quick?!" he called to them.
Honda and Bakura glanced at eachother, then over at Yuugi and Anzu questioningly.

Yuugi exchanged glances with his crew, giving a slight nod in response, before heading towards his friend, and the Egyptian former villain.
Malik's eyes widened for a second. He was pretty fearful each time he met them... he felt so ashamed of everything, like they were always looking down on him after what he had done. He quickly covered up the fear with a kind looking smile, waving friendly at them as they walked his way.

Honda and Bakura quickly proceeded to follow behind Yuugi.
Jounouchi smiled warmly at his friends, "Hey guys, look who's here? I ran into him earlier today and it looks like he's moved to Domino." he said, putting a friendly arm around Malik's shoulders.
"Earlier today...?" Honda questioned, looking at Malik suspiciously as he remembered Jounouchi's two injuries.
Bakura on the other hand walked up to Malik smiling warmly, "Hello Malik. Welcome back to Japan." he said happily. He didn't really remember much from Battle City...

Malik smiled kindly to Bakura. Ah.. he remembered the ivory haired boy quite well. Actually he remembered when he had used him very clearly.
Thinking back on it... how could he...
Bakura had such soft features to him, a warmth always seemed to emit from this boy. It was odd considering he was pretty much the opposite of the creature that had once occupied his mind.
And then there were the others. They looked so... so damn happy. He wished they would stop smiling. He knew inside they were frowning at him. Frowning at him for everything.
And smiling back to them.. he felt so fake...
"Konichiwa, Malik-kun." Anzu grinned warmly, waving her hand at the Egyptian. "It is nice to see a familiar face around!"
"Thank you, Anzu-chan. It's very nice to see you again as well!"
Yuugi nodded, offering the other his hand. "Yes indeed. How have you been?"
Malik took it reluctantly. His skin tingled viciously with the touch of his former enemies soft handshake. "Very good! And you Yuugi-kun?"
"I've been well also! Just hangin' out with the gang.. y'know, the usual stuff!"
"It sure is nice to see you guys again..." Then there was Honda... he looked pretty angry. Malik tried to keep the smile on his face. He was pretty good at this. But.. gee, why'd he have to look at him with such suspicion. "Hey Honda-kun... you okay?" Malik dared to ask, his smile grew a bit smaller with unease...

Honda blinked, realizing he had been staring at Malik with not the most friendly of looks in the world. "Oh, yeah, fine." he quickly replied, "Welcome back to Japan Malik." he repeated Bakura's words reluctantly.
Not even noticing how awkward everything seemed to be, Jounouchi continued, "Malik's gonna get this adorable cat; that's why he's here at the petsho. You guys should see this thing. I can't believe no one's bought it yet." he said with a wink.

Malik nodded... he'd let the Honda thing go. He was probably being paranoid. And besides, Jounouchi made everything seem lighter. "Sounds like your gettin' a little jealous Jounouchi!" He joked with a grin, elbowing the other lightly in the side. "The cat is rather adorable. Do you guys wanna come in too?"

Jounouchi jumped from the poke, then huffed slightly as he looked at Malik, "Meh, I could never afford to take care of a pet, so you'll just have to let me come visit often to play with the cat." he laughed, then nodded, "And sure, we'll come in." he said, automatically speaking for the entire group.
