The lights that were still on flickered, then sputtered out. Even the emergency beacons had quit working. It seemed only the intercoms were operational for the time being:
’…All hands, evacuate the flagship. I repeat, all hands…’
Then even they died, to which Dustin let a devious grin cross his face. Mission accomplished. Not only had he driven out the aliens, but he had also acquired several pocketfuls of advanced technology that he could use to fix the teleporter. His job here was finished. However…now he had to escape. With the control room completely mangled, Dustin knew that the flagship held no further use, and would most likely be destroyed once the crew evacuated. In the little time remaining, though, he had a surprise for the leader. Dustin pulled out one of the slightly older enemy drives that he had salvaged and plugged it into a port on his cell phone. After clicking through a few options, he was able to implant a nasty virus onto the disk. Dustin removed it and then returned the circuit board to the slot where he found it. Instantly the virus made its way through the system, first shutting down all working programs aboard the flagship. Then it bored itself into the escape pod’s controls, lying dormant until it was turned on, to which the virus would then also disable the ship’s functions and set off a short fuse to ignite whatever fuel it was using, thus destroying the pod and all aboard it. That completed, Dustin’s mind went back to finding a way out. He secured all gadgets he had collected, finding a few more scattered around from his previous harvest; then he made a mad dash for the elevator. Though his virus had turned it off, a simple command from the phone would make it useable for a time. Nevertheless, Dustin was distracted again as he realized that he was not the only one who would need a way out of here. He paused short of the door and turned back, staring at the one who had run into him moments earlier. The boy seemed helpful enough. There was a chance that he could simply be trying to round him up for capture—but Dustin figured he could handle that when it occurred. For now, he was facing more pressing matters. Finally he made up his mind. With a heavy sigh and a wave of his hand, he ushered the stranger forward. ”Follow me and don’t do anything stupid,” Dustin commanded gruffly, and he ran out into the hallway.
Waiting for him were several legions of guards, making their way towards the escape shuttle. Upon seeing the enemy they fired a few rounds behind them, but in their distraction they didn’t have very good aim. Dustin retaliated with a few shots as well, taking out a fair number of aliens. Though there were still many left, he ignored them and dashed through the path he had cleaved, still set on reaching the elevator, or at least another room with windows.

Chase urged Dustin into the room with the window and helped himself into kicking it open. It was enough room for them to slip out, but they were in the air. He stepped back from the window, frowning in thought. However, now was not the time to sit around and ponder, and Chase decided that it was time to go to a last resort.
Finding this as an opportunity as payback for Dustin's rudeness, Chase forced Dustin over to the window.
"Okay, really; Jump now and ask questions later."
He assured Dustin, who was probably hating him right now with however level of anger Chase did not want to know of. Seeing as the other was probably not going to trust a complete total stranger (as Chase was) he shrugged, giving Dustin a wicked smile.
"Fine, you leave me no choice..."
he sighed, taking out his dagger and slashing his own lower right abdomen side, careful not to make the wound too deep. Assuming the other probably thought him crazy, Chase took the opportunity to catch Dustin off guard.
"You don't understand how completely necessary that was. Now, don't scream..."
he wickedly laughed, pushing Dustin out the window and followed in likewise manner. He seriously miscalculated how light Dustin was, but managed to make up for his miscalculation as he caught up to the other and grabbed him like a hug from behind. He winced as he felt the blood being registered by the spell, and, seconds before it would seem they would crash into the ground, a pair of black wings sprouted from Chase's back and greatly slowed down their fall.
((Sorry mindy-catt for the godmodding, but you need to live from your hw and come back soon! liivvee! *considering calling you* >D mwahaha...))
