Guardians & Demon King Part III (Ending)

[Mario Dragon]

Tarik smiles at Aku, "Just think how many people would love to be in your place.

We will travel north to the Booforian border then to the west. It is about a 3 day walk. I'd fly but we don't want to be seen before we get to the border. The Booforians have an army of zombies so we will want to move quickly across their territory.

If we are ready, let's go. "

Amiric's eyes narrowed slightly. "Then one of us will have to check in there while the other slows these undead down; you take care of the former while I deal with some of these numbers and thin them out a little to keep them off our backs," he said quietly.

Sasori nods and climbs into the hole and checks out the room. There is a staircase and a locked door. She goes back to Amiric. "There is a door. We can break it down. It seems to be locked."  

[Kaosujin Ryu]

Amiric nodded slightly as he used a whip of shadows to sever limbs from the undead, though it didn't slow them down much. His sword, as he drew it, ignited with a clean silver-blue flame as arrows flew at him from the archers. He spun the sword in his grasp, effectively creating a 'wheel' of blazing energy to block the arrows and weapons as it spun freely on tendrils of shadows extending from his palm before the 'wheel' reversed its spin. He gripped the hilt as he whipped it across, severing several of the undead at the hips.

Sasori helps to fight the undead by creating a flame thrower effect and incinerating the ghostly figures and the crypts behind them to ashes.  

[Kaosujin Ryu]

Amiric smiled fractionally as he cupped his free hand, a swirling ring of five small balls of darkness casting a faint violet light. "Barra Nl'gnos," he murmured, the sound rasping slightly in his throat as the spheres shot outward in cometary bursts of dark energy that detonated in flashes of bright purple light. "If we find whatever is raising them and destroy it, they will rest once more!!" he declared as the undead seemed to give them a chance to pursue or escape.

Aku raises an eyebrow at Tarik's comment, then smirks once she got it. "Of course.." She says readying her bow under the robe, blending it to where it was unseen. Ryuu quickly combs her hair to cover her eye a bit more then recalls her twin blades still at the dark forest. I'll come back for them.. She decides, as she could defend herself without them. "Lead the way, then." Ryuu replies with a chuckle, nudging his side.  

[Mario Dragon]

Tarik grissles at the poke, sensitive to their situation. "Ok let's go then. There is a town we will go through about two miles from here. Unfortunatly we cannot just bypass the towns because if the jagged mountain terrain."

He hands Aku a large bag of gold. "You will need to keep this. Slaves can't have gold. Especially if it is enough to buy a village."

They start walking the narrow mountain path. When they near the village, there is a gated check point. Tarik lowers his eyes as the approach the guard shack.

Aku takes the bag, then hides it inside her robe. Once they approached the village, she pulled her hood to cover her hair. Ryuu, hide Tatsuko. She reminds her, Ryuu glances to the dragon whom quickly crawls away hiding inside her sleeve. Then Ryuu quickly lowers her head, resisting to smirk at her own irony. Aku softly nods to the guards as they past the checkpoint.

Tarik breaths out as they pass. So far so good. They walk through the residential section then to the market area as they walk to get to the other side of the village. It is market day and there are locals selling food and wears. Tarik does not speak. He just walks.

A large dog barks at him. It is a demon hunting dog, used to hunt down slaves trying to cross the mountains. He wants to go and squash the dog with a wave of his hand but thinks better of it and ignores it. The dog's master has chains in his hand that led to a couple of male demons that are shackled and stripped of their shirts as they are branded with their master's mark. Tarik can smell the burning flesh as the men scream out in pain. The dog master smiles a wicked smile as Ryuu and Tarik pass. Tarik seethed with anger but just kept his head down as they passed.

Sasori goes back to the locked door. It seems to be stuck. She tries to burn it down but it seems that Tarik fortified it somehow. She tries the fire laser beam effect again and seems to make some progress.  

[Kaosujin Ryu]

Amiric thought of something. "Maybe a little dark magic will work. Watch out, as this should eat away at the strength of the door a little; if it doesn't, I have another spell ready. "Ussvelusscal B'luth'ol!!" he murmured, a ball of energy the size of a golf ball turning a bright acid green before it shot at the door, which hissed loudly as smoke curled from the crater the spell created.

Sasori walks up to the crater. "Well that worked, as the door was gone along with part of the staircase." She backs up again so that she can take a running leap to grab what was left of the staircase leading up.

She takes a running leap and slips a little but makes the staircase, grabbing the railing. She then goes up the stairs.  

[Mario Dragon]

Tarik remembers Rio, a demon slave that spent his life as a slave even after the Fey were defeated. Then he remembers how Slayer tried to over throw him and enslave him. How ironic it was that Tarik was now Aku's slave voluntarily.

As they pass, Tarik flicks his finger under his cloak at the two slaves. The locks on their chains lossen enough that they can slide out. He speaks to them in their minds. "Be free when you have a chance. Your chains have been lossened." The two look at Tarik and Ryuu as they pass. Tarik leads them to the end of the market to where the food and tools are sold.  

[Kaosujin Ryu]

Amiric followed her, focusing energy into his feet so that it seemed like he ran up the side of the wall to avoid the gap a few feet from the other side of the door, right near where the base of the stairs had been; his spell had been too strong, dissolving both the door and the first four stairs of the staircase. He landed on the sixth stair up and started up after Sasori.
