Cookie's Danforth? I was Parris! Evidently I am good at being a power hungry face saving manic with a psychopath daughter.

I love how many times Danforth has "Goddammit, people." moments in the play.
xd Our Danforth was a skinny pasty nonthreatening dude, but he had been in the drama club and bitched that he would quit if he didn't get Danforth. Same reason he got to be Jekyl in Jekyl and Hyde.
That sucks. I don't often get the chance to participate in the production of a play because of other things happening in my life, so I don't have nearly as much experience as everyone else. I think the main reason I got the part is because, physically speaking, I'm the most well-suited to it.
I was talking to our Parris, one of my best friends and a much more experienced actor, and he and I agree that though he might make a better Danforth acting-wise, he'd still be much shorter than I, and would give a slightly different image and feel if I were, say, Cheever.
Consequently, the moment where Francis Nurse tries to stand up to Danforth is really damn funny because he's about two feet shorter than I, and I'm on a platform leaning over my desk.
