Danny sighed as he helped her to a more comfortable seat, a couch in the building's lobby seemed to do the trick as he settled her onto the softer cushioning, "I-i... don't know where Neah is, at least i do know he hasn't joined my troupe yet" he said sighing and sitting on the floor next to the couch and wondering what had happened to Raven... he also remembered Lorna appearing at some point, but his mind had been focusing on the man in the shadows attacking Nika during the time after he had found the three headed dog he kinda lost track of most everything. "i wonder if everyone is going to be okay?" he thought leaning against the couch knowing Nika would probably start to feel drowsy at this point. all he could do now was keep the dead walking and wait and see who joined him as the battles raged. hopefully he wouldn't have to see many of the fallen among his dead, it was expected to find some among the zombies that roamed the street now. their memories flooded his mind when he thought about them, but none seemed to associate with him, and his remorse for those dead was fairly limited since he saw more and more of it than anyone could imagine, he did however have his favorites among the living. "do you know how much longer we will be doing this for?" he asked her echoing her thoughts on not being left behind.

Che felt the need to increment his speed at each turn, though he kept has pace brisk and not lightspeed for the sake of Kate, the woman coldly dying in his arms. Getting her to safety was his mission right now and safety was someone that could heal. Roulin was the man for the job and Che without a doubt knew that. There was a nagging sensation in the back of his mind though that he couldn't escape...he felt like something was following him. The voices that argued relentless in his head weren't part of this fear though as ironic as it was. This was different. His light purple eyes scanned the area, his mind taking and studying each frame precisely. There was the usual Owl skirmish going...nothing out of the ordinary. For now anyway. Che knew something was near, but what it was baffled him.

Kate had spoken up once again and this unsettled the calm Italian. Wasting her energy to speak like this wasn't going to help either of them. Although in her death-drunken rambling, she posed better questions, he still didn't want her exerting herself even that much. He could feel her clutching and shivering from the cold and as a result he slowed down to regular running pace. Looking down at her after her question, Che knew now would be the best time to reply. After expelling a deep sigh, the man averted his gaze to the Russian and replied, "I--...If you live through this, that means that I really do love you Kate. If you don't, that means that I didn't love you enough and that I should've just stayed in the Eternity Realm where I belonged. Now draw your conclusion from that..." His natural confidence still poured in torrents from his voice. As far as things remained steady as they went, he was assured that she'd live to see the next day. If he was met with confrontation, then---

Off towards the west in the center of the small nation-state, the skyscraper that had to have been the UNS building was struck by a massive bold of lightning. The light blue serpent ripped through the concrete and glass with such force that when the bolt touched down, it created a rather powerful epicenter. Che knew there was something on his to-do list that he'd managed to accidentally evade, but in a flash, it was taken care of. As cries from burning bodies, twisting metal and crashing glass filled the air, the bushy haired man continued to run. Now he was apprehensive though for the display of power could've only come from----

"Well if it isn't you...Che Presidiomni...."

"Alright...alright....hold still......" Moli's finger quivered as the fight went on. Cecilia had sustained damage that may prove fatal if Adam continued to assault her. For the azure girl, things weren't look keen and Lomoli, the pre-Light Herald, could see this. He didn't need to be blind to hear her sputtering when she spoke, nor did he have to be a human to sense this much tension in the air. And then the pressure of it all....this was his shot. If he missed, then Adam would see him and ultimately kill both him and Aeon. <******** Herald....why'd they have to be made so strong? The Owl's hand wasn't steady for a frame's worth of time. Part of him couldn't handle this. Part of him knew that Cecilia would die if he did manage this shot.. As his doubt overcame him and his hand began to lower, Cecilia did something that shocked him. She retaliated with all that she could. The gravity near the area was enough to crush small stones into pebbles and enough to crack the windshields out of cars. Amazingly, the small bit of pizzazz that wasn't beaten out of her manifested itself in this form. It was aggression in it's most deadliest form.

With something new instilled in his soul, Moli took aim again...his finger about four and three sixths above the head of the Gravity Herald. The wind speed...hell, the gravity was ******** that up, so he had no choice. With the measurements in mind, Moli fired a strong and rather loud beam of light that was so heated, it's form glistened brightly in a pure alabaster glow. This photokinetic assault when and if it made contact with Adam, would either burn away the back of his head or his upper back. Either way, he'd be taking massive damage upon contact.

"Where in the hell are these two damned idiots...." Thomas and Diana, his apparent student, had been walking for almost thirty minutes now searching for Raven and Roulin. He opted to walk because slithering there would give off aura. This would alert someone to his presence and a fight would ensue. His energy was being kept for Timothy though, so there would be none of that. Besides, he could speed up with Diana who would be dissolved entirely by his power. He had no choice but to take the nice and slow route.

"Well...Diana....I think yer birthday is'a comin'. Anything in particular you want for it?" asked Thomas awkwardly in order to spark a conversation. If he was to get her into this game, he'd at least have to learn something about her and stop treating her like a tool. Even the dark man himself could admit when someone deserved their due. "So...when is it? If you like, I can set up a free week fer ya because....what in the hell is this?" Over his ankles slithered a vine which soon wrapped itself around rather tightly. Before Thomas could any longer warmly welcome the girl to the better side of the UNS, his legs were pulled from beneath him. Before being slung upwards, he landed on his chin. Now, while in the air, the man of death could see everything, including his destination which may had been a mile off. If not, then more. Covering himself in negation, the vine snapped due to rotting and he fell to the ground cracking the gravel upon contact.

Now who would've had the audacity to do such a thing to him of all people? For those that knew his face, they knew he was a nightmare to the world and the people on it. To someone though, this didn't matter. Then, his blazing white eyes caught hold of just someone he wanted to see. A Herald. Sabrina nonetheless. While her power wasn't Timothy's it was just as strong in it's own right. That's all the inspiration Thomas needed right there. "Diana...go on ahead ya hear? I have a little weed right here I need to kill...You know better than to fight me alone, don'tcha girl? How about you get yer little self back into a kitchen somewhere? Someplace safe where I can't gitcha..."

Sabrina smirked as she looked at Thomas. "I could say the same thing about you and a tub you sack of s**t" she said calmly as she walked forward, her wind blowing in the wind. When her whip rotted she smirked. She could create as much as she needed. Amongst the rocky architecture they were standing on, vines began to coil and plants began to bud. Some were small and others were large and beastly. "We should have taken care of you centuries ago" she said to him.

Raising her arm she released 6 thick thorns that were the size of footballs towards Thomas. She then teleported as she as she began to swing away at Thomas quickly with her hands. They were covered in an armor but the negation was wearing away at it so she had to be conscious how many times she had made contact with Thomas.

Behind Thomas a row of spiked rocks erected themselves in disfiguring patterns ready to pierce the Death OWL. Sabrina then inhaled as she focused on fighting the southern man. Sabrina then released a gas that was an orange color. It was a nerve gas that was released into the air, afterwards she swept the ground with her foot attempting to trip Thomas. This wasn't going to be as easy taking Thomas out like it was Noel, so Sabrina knew she had to come with it and bring her A game.

((TFP---Raven))

“Am I okay?….Heh, cocky brat.” Raven was currently basking in the warm glow of power that came with using the Heart of Life. She actually gave way to a smile when the young Italian commented on how he had given her his heart only for Raven to repay him with shockwaves. “Oh Roulin….Didn’t your parents ever teach you to never give away your heart to that one girl that you know deep down, would screw you over in the end?” She laughed softly while keeping both eyes trained on the dark haired male before her. He was obviously still blind, but that would bring Raven to feel sorry for him. Hell, the guy could still fight…that had been confirmed with his last attack which could have seen Raven down and out of the game.

The pain that Raven had been in due to injuries Rou had inflicted on her, were long forgotten in the presence of the Heart of Life. Since gaining the artefact, Raven has become rather adapted to the huge power boost that that came when using it. In early days of using the Heart, Raven had found it quite temperamental; it had taken time, practise and above all else a clear mind to master its raw energy and destructiveness. Now however, it was a power that Raven could use without being faced with too many repercussions. Albeit, if Raven slipped up now or allowed the power to go to her head, it would only end with her being injured or quite possibly killed.

“What a beautiful light display you can create…But that is all it is.” Raven mused as she created a shockwave that spanned all around her like a sphere. The duty of this shockwave was to act like a shield to guard its creator against the menacing beams of light. Her blue eyes were tinted with a soft white glow but were still able to give away the sheer joy she was feeling. Securing her current stance, Raven relinquished her hold over the shockwave shield, allowing it to expand outwards tearing the ground up and destroying anything else in its way. The blonde female did not hesitate when she launched yet another shockwave towards Roulin. A think distorted beam of sheer force and power. Its speed was intense and the way it tore the ground apart was impressive. Anyone unlucky enough to be caught in its path would most certainly be greeted with a painful death. “This is only the beginning Roulin! Stick around for a while longer wont you?” Raven was not ready to end this deadly game just yet.

(TFP - Serilda)

While taking aim, she took each bullet and fired off a few rounds while materializing another of the same gun she had in her left hand. Both firing she kept the rubble from falling on top of them and started to hear a voice from the injured woman something about Anya is in far worse shape then her. "Well, after I end this fallen de-bree can you direct me to this Anya." As Serilda dropped her right gun and dissipated it she began to materialize another gun and strongly forced her arm to aim up as she made a Fabrique Nationale FN Minimi, dropping the other gun in her left she held the beast with both hands and began to fire like she was in war. Attacking each rubble she kept focus on the target and kept the concrete pieces from falling straight, even though the dust was falling down towards her face, she wanted to make it that both of them came out alive. After a short few seconds, she noticed that something big was coming down her way. Looking towards the woman, she stopped her fire and began to quickly pick her up and dove to a further distance while holding onto the Injured woman. In a hack of dust she looked over to her right and saw that the big concrete stone almost came to close to her feet, thankfully both of them were safe.

(UNS - Diana)

While walking with Mr. Thomas, she started to feel hungry as she held her stomach with her journal. She didn't want to bother Mr. Thomas about it so she kept shut until he began to talk about her birthday? She gave an answer with a straight but slight show of tiredness. "It is in about 10 days. But If I wanted something I would probably be going for with something like a revolver. Thinking back we did have a shoot out where I lived and handling one was pretty cool." as she gave a smile. But when their conversation was about to get more interesting she noticed something that Mr. Thomas was being taken down by a vine? But thinking she had to stay tough and stood their trying to find the source. But having Mr. Thomas talking about get going and get somewhere safe, she wanted to stay and help. But in his eyes she could see that he was already unstoppable and began to nod to the order. "Got it Mr. Thomas, beat that " while talking she couldn't think of a cool word to say but understandable she remembered a few kids saying this frequent word that she never heard. "a*****e." as she spoke out loud she started off to find a better spot to hide. A Place where she could take cover but still see the battle from afar.

Kate's brow furrowed when she heard Che's response. It was a typical answer from him, but what she really needed right now was straight and flat out reply. It was annoying that Che dodged her questions, but now so more than ever. If she was to at all die without knowing that answer... Well, Kate would most definitely not be happy about it. Her spirit would most likely haunt the Mastering Owl without going back to the Eternity Realm, just to bug him for the damn answer. She wanted to punch Che in the face for dodging the question, but she honestly had no energy to do so. So she would have to take that answer and live with it. In order to find out the answer she would have to survive just to bug Che about it constantly.

She was about to muster up another breath to tell Che what she planned to do when a bolt of lightning struck somewhere in the distance. If Kate had not been close to death, she would have been able to tell Che that the Herald of Electromagnetism was coming. But since that wasn't the case, Kate could only sit there as Che carried her without doing anything. Even though she could only hear Tim's voice faintly, Kate knew he was there. She couldn't really tell where it was coming from because of that though.

The first thing Anya knew as she drifted slowly but surely back into consciousness was how much her body ached from pain. Her eyes opened slowly, blinking back the foggy vision that was present. She couldn't help but let out a soft groan of pain in reaction to how much she was in pain at that moment. The first thing Anya tried to do was sit up. However, as she did so, a searing pain shot from her stomach to her brain. The immediate reaction was a loud gasp and wide eyes. Looking down at her stomach, the sight of the bandaged gunshot wound there and around her leg brought back the memories of her battle with Lorna, the Polaris Owl. Anya muttered a curse under her breath in German as she forced herself to lay back down on the ground. She did not yet realize where she was at the moment. Nor did she have any idea that Nik was around now and had brought her to safety within his shadow world. Sure, she was wondering who bandaged her up, but she would have to force herself through the pain to stand up. Grimacing, Anya slowly sat up again, and felt the same exact searing pain as before. But she forced herself to bite her lower lip and pushed herself through the pain to try to stand.

Unable to visualize anything still, Roulin could simply feel the aura pouring from the woman in massive amounts. His light show wouldn't cut it and a part of him knew that even before he decided to try it on her. Why the hell would it work? She had a secondary source of energy that gave her the strength of a Demi Great Four. Thinking back, Roulin cursed himself, his naivety and his stupidity for allowing her to have his artifact. Even her return phrase made him lower his dead eyes in shame. In a brief huff, the Owl twisted in the air so that his feet was toward the ground. He needed to think and he needed to think immediately.

His Heart of Life supplied Raven a nice amount of energy. So much so that it put her over her "cap". Taking this into consideration, Roulin then asked himself how much energy had he really spent so far. If not alot, then his boost would be sufficient enough for him to continue joyously engaging Raven in this deadly competition. He didn't have time to bask in the pleasantries of contemplation. Raven was on the move again and her massive shockwave was just a shimmer of what she could now do.

Roulin called forth his secondary form to back him in this fight. Three major changes took place during the transformation. The first was that his hair became white and straightened out into waterfall-esque strands that reached down to the top of his back. Secondly, his eyes, which darkened to a pitch black hue regained their ability to see and in this form, they could see further than before and clearer than before. Thirdly, Roulin, the Swiss army knife of the Owl world, lost his ability to heal in this form. A setback, but it was made up for in the fact that when he wanted, a film made of white liquid would cover the impact area. Even that couldn't take too much of a beating though...

With his transformation set, the white haired Owl first reveled in the notion that he could see. What he half-enjoyed though was seeing Raven through another massive distortion. Better late than never....as the attack neared, Roulin drew back his fist, charging a tightly compacted rotating shockwave and waited for the nearly invisible artillery shell to near him. "Heh. No more games then Catherine. Promise me that..." mused the Life Owl almost inaudibly towards the end. Once Raven's attack breached his striking range, the Owl of Life threw his fist at a speed that would be almost inconceivable to the naked eye. The thrust of his punch and the rotation of his saved shockwave sent Raven's attack back at her after a moment's clash. The punch would've shattered the Owl's arm had it not been for this form, but of course, he doubted Raven would've been able to force this out of her non Heart of Life charged body. Just as Raven altered the playing field, Roulin managed to equalize it again, though partially. One hit like that, and it was promised that few ribs would be broken and if not that worse. Smirking at the woman now as his coal-like eyes met her's, he hoped his counterattack got his message across. She wasn't going to bowl him over like some other Owl. Heart of Life or not, this was Roulin's fight and no one else's.

~~~
"Heh please....call me more names. You already know talking like that only gets me frisky..." Thomas said as he took a few steps forward, his body falsely shuddering to emphasize his words. As Diana made her way off towards the battlefield where Roulin and Raven were squaring off, Thomas couldn't help but bring a disapproving palm to his face when Diana's toughness revealed itself again. She was a cute girl with a mind cut out for this line of work, but her choice of words could use improvement. If Thomas had to keep her in the most rural parts of Texas to learn her some real curse words, he would. Now.....back to Sabrina, the green tinted beauty who wanted only nothing but Thomas's thick, dark blood spilled about the streets of Rome. "Yeah, yeah, I've heard you say that, heard yer leader say that....the lot of ya spew the same s**t each time we meet. If you want me dead so bad goddamn it..." said Thomas before Negation began to drip from his mouth and fingertips. "Then kill me. That is...if ya can..."
The thorns that Sabrina launched at the Death Owl were nothing. Almost as if flowing like a stream, he meandered his way through the gaps presented to him. Part one down. Now what? Thomas was being assaulted by the Herald of Earth. The first two attacks sailed through his liquid exterior, but as his fast punches neared his core, he leaned away. He knew that she knew the risk she was taking by even getting close to him, not that Thomas minded. If she wanted to die this way, then so be it. It would take longer contact with him for anything significant to happen, so she had something there. The nerve gas released upon him was nothing as his body now coursed with and was covered by Negation. Her sweeping motion was her last move, and it may have worked hadn't Thomas seen it just in time. The attack caused him to jump up and quickly land.
Now it was his turn to go on the offense. His opening attack was a basic, but rather difficult move to get around. From individual point of his body shot tendrils of Negation that simply poked at their opponent with enough force to break skin, puncture and then poison. For a nice little Herald like Sabrina though, they probably would've just left bruises which would've slowly been followed by delayed onset gangrene. To make sure she was pecked by his rain-like assault, he attempted to bring his right foot down on the ankle she'd tried to sweep him with. All in all, it was an nice opening combo, but if they all missed, Thomas wouldn't be bothered. This was only just the beginning of a deliciously rewarding endeavor.
PostPosted: Thu Oct 27, 2011 1:30 pm
Sabrina figured that the Death OWL would utilize his negation. Still the same old tricks? Rock suddenly rised in front of her blocking the tendrils. Sabrina could utilize everything that the earth provided but she had total control depending on what element of Earth she was, and as of right now she was utilizing the nature aspect in its entireties. Still she kicked the rock as chunks flew towards Thomas. The vines that were surrounding them shot around creating like a web around Sabrina and Thomas. They were very thick so even if negation did touch them they wouldn't dissolve right away.
Focusing her energy, Thorns began to cover all of the armor on Sabrina. Flowers began to bloom in the now dark and moist thickened jungle she had created around her and Thomas, releasing a potent pheromone that would cause fatigue and sluggishness over a period of time.
Creating a sword that was made of hardened root and laced with venoms and toxins she smirked. Thomas was going to have a fight on his a** today. Moving swiftly amongst the thickets of the "Jungle" she had made, she began to swipe her sword, slashing at the Death OWL.
((TFP---Raven))
Now this was more like it. Roulin had called forth his secondary form which meant that not only were things were going to become so much more exciting but the damage that their fight would cause would be greatly increased. The changes that Roulin underwent physically were almost the same as Raven’s changes, the white hair and the change in eye colour although his eyes had turned obsidian black as supposed to the white hue that Raven’s had turned. Raven took note of this particular change more so because this probably meant the Italian was able to see once again, how clear and precise his current vision was….remained a mystery to the Quaking Owl.
Raven knew that with Rou’s current form his energy and power would have become far greater then before. So it came as no surprise when Roulin deflected Ravens shockwave with a punch sending it straight back at her. Raven smirked as she braced herself for impact. She was going to divert the shockwaves path, not back to Rou because playing a game of pass was not on their agenda right now. When the shockwave was as close as she would allow, Raven summoned a shockwave that was larger than the one heading towards her. Effectively, she was going to try and have the larger one ‘consume’ the smaller one. A tactic that had never been in play before because Raven never had a chance to test it out nor practice with it, which meant this could go two ways…
She braced herself by locking her legs in place. The two forces collided with a deafening roar. Raven held her own against the building pressure; her left hand was stretched outwards as she kept control over her latest shockwave while her teeth set into place as she finally began to direct her shockwave to the right. Once out of the danger zone, Raven sent the shockwave forwards. The nearly invisible force rocketed off until it collided with a tall building which was brought to the ground within mere seconds. “Hm…” The Fallen Phoenix leader was quite happy about this step in progress although, the move was still temperamental. Turning towards the Life Owl, Raven narrowed her eyes. Both of them meant business, both of them would not be happy until the other was dead…and nothing or no one was going to be able to pull them away from this fight..
It ended with a bang. Adam turned his head lightly as a flash of light spiraled towards his body. His eyes widened slightly as he was enveloped in the light. The gravity around Cecilia would return to normal. As the light faded, and the ringing noise ceased Adam rested leaning against the crumbled remains of a building. His head slouching downward as his brown hair fell into his eyes. There was a hole the size of a quarter situated through his chest. Slowly raising his head up he winced as blood dripped from his wound. Just to the left of the wound one would be able to see a n object beating back and forth in his chest. As he looked at himself he smirked, he would have laughed but he couldn't take many breathes. "Well this...Is a tad ironic." He coughed a little, a wheezing noise could be heard as he tried to take a breathe, but his lungs were for the most part collapsed. He looked at his hand, seeing the ring that he enchanted. "Perhaps it wasn't the balance that was lost...Perhaps it was merely our point of view. We've become old...We've lost the sense we use to have. Now we sit here...At the midway of our lives and we have nothing to show for it..." He slowly rocked his head to the side looking towards Cecilia. "What will you do? Will you strike me down and take my place? Or will you allow this chance to slip...Through your fingers?" He coughed again as blood sprayed from both his mouth and his chest.
As the gravity around her returned to normal, Cecilia found herself plummeting towards the ground. However, the immense ammount of power that she had just emitted had left her void of energy. Her body was broken and torn. Along with her broken ribs and a partly missing arm, there were very large gashes in her flesh, which poured blood. Using the gravity around her to break the fall would be impossible. Falling, she found her body quickly descending next to a crumbling building that wasn't destroyed just yet. Fighting through her pain, she pulled her chain whip from her waste and with as much force that she could muster, pierced the halfway destroyed building with the long metal spikes, which were on each end causing her descent to slow. Brick and concrete broke away from the building, caused from the force of her chain whip. Finally, she was safely upon the ground. Yet when she tried to stand, her legs gave away causing her to crumple. Coughing up a stream of blood, she pushed herself up, bracing herself up with her one arm, which wasn't partially mutilated and her knees before slowly attempting to stand again, but to no avail.
Biting her lips, she slowly used her legs to push herself towards Adam who lay dying only a few feet away from her. But with the pain she was experiencing and the slow pace at which she was moving at, it felt like miles instead. Finally, after what had seemed like an eternity, she made it to the dying Herald. She directed her emerald eyes towards him. She could feel all the rage that she felt towards the Heralds surfacing, but with that rage also came remorse. Which emotion overpowered the other, that was something no one could determine. Taking hold of one of the spiked ends of her chain whip, she held it out towards Adam, her hands trembling. Did she really want to kill him? Did she really want to end his life? Would this make her a murderer? On the other hand, she couldn't allow him to suffer while dying slowly and painfully. Looking at The Singularity Owl with sorrow filled eyes, she shook her head. "I hope you find peace in the next life," she said as she plunged the spike into his chest where his heart was located.
It was the most humane way she could think of to kill him, a way that he would die quickly with the least amount of pain. Retracting her chain whip, she fell forward as if in slow motion towards the ground hitting it forcefully and laying in a large pool of her own blood as she waited for her own end to come, still clutching her bloodied chain whip.
Nikolai was keeping himself occupied while watching over Anya. He played a few games on his phone, and listened to some music. He was slightly preoccupied with his MP3 player when Anya woke up, so he didn't notice she was awake until she tried to stand up. "Woah woah woah there. I wouldn't do that Anya." He stood up and walked over, laying her back down gently. "You're hurt, and I don't think you should be standing up." Nik manipulated the shadows to form a soft cloud-like bed under Anya, along with a pillow. He sat down next to her and sighed, removing his headphones from his ears and saying, "How did I know you were going to get yourself hurt? Didn't I say that you should be careful?" Nik smiled lightly and continued, "You've always gotta get into fights, you're too stubborn for your own good sometimes... This is why I didn't want to make the decision on what we should do next... whenever I make the decision, the ones I care about get hurt... "
Anya only made it about a third of the way to her feet before the pain became too much and she had to sit back down again. Fortunately for her, Nikolai had noticed her trying to stand and quickly headed over towards her. "I'm fine!" she replied. But much to her chagrin, Nikolai gently forced her to lay back down, only this time on a shadow cloud of sorts. "I said I'm fine, Nik." Anya insisted with a slight frown at the Dancing Owl from where she was now laying down. However, she fell quiet as Nikolai began almost lecturing her. Her frown disappeared and was simply a calm look on her face. While Nikolai did have a point about him saying she should be careful, Anya still thought she acted in the right by confronting Raven. But Nik's reasoning behind not making any decisions brought Anya's stern look back to her face. She wasn't frowning, just giving him a stern look. "Hey. At least I made it through alive. And its not like I had a choice in the matter. That b***h Raven sent her dog after me. So its not your fault I got hurt, okay? If you want to blame someone, blame Raven and that damn electric pet of hers." With that said, Anya folded her arms across her chest and paused for a bit to let her words sink in to Nik's head for a moment. Before he could say anything else in reply though, Anya spoke up again. This time on a different matter. She needed to justify her want to stand up and move around despite her injuries. "I can't just lay here and let everyone else fight to stop those idiot Fallen Pheonix's from ruining the entire population of Rome and quite possibly the world. It wouldn't be right."
Raven's power wasn't a graceful one and more often than not, it wasn't a cooperative one. It was an undoubted and undisputed fact that neither of the two combatants would've managed to tame such an incredible power using it sparring as if it were just another item in the inventory list. It didn't take Roulin very long to understand the ability and even figure out how to put rotation on an expulsion. The Owl of Life was sure that there was some aspect to this ferocious power that Raven understood. Whatever it was, it would only increment his grudging and growing respect for the woman. In the deep recesses of his mind, he did admire Raven's tenacity, her will and above all her perseverance. Only the right life events could gift to someone the technical skills of such a power. Negative were the life events though...it was that schism that put both these empowered combatants on opposite sides.
Just from Raven's diversion of her attack, Roulin could tell that the gloves were off. Way off. Somewhere now locked away even. When the two almost invisible distortions met and clashed with lion-esque roar, Roulin didn't shy away. Surely, that wouldn't be satisfying to anyone. To the french woman, it may have even been a twisted insult. The two shockwaves were diverted off into the distance now. Surely neither of the two Owls cared where it landed or what it struck...as long as it was no longer obscuring their competitive glares of death. When Roulin's pure ebony eyes met the alabaster stones that were Raven's he was instantly assured that the game had truly change. Still, although he was now was fighting for his life for real, he still wore a cordial grin for his combatant. He wanted it to be the last thing filling the blonde's sight before he escorted her off into the afterlife.
After returning to the ground finally, Roulin brushed off the crumbs of gravel, dust and dirt that had accumulated their. In doing so, his button up, which was reduced to mere strands of loosely hanging white threads, fell apart. Just his t-shirt remained now. His shoes were still intact oddly. Roulin knew this would be it, so he prepared just as any other paper elementalist would. For as far as his eyes could see, he began to draw paper onto himself. Much like Che, he was forming a dense, sharp armor to protect against not being able to heal and not know how to become an element in selective areas on contact. The process would take a while, so why not test how what he could now? His upper body was covered with paper, but his legs remained open for attack. The only thing protecting them were a pair of onyx slacks.
Quickly closing the gap between Raven and himself, he threw his hands up mid-run. Parts of the ground lifted up toward the girl in small, almost dime-sized squares. Along with them shot forward bits and pieces of rock and gravel. The strike was meant to daze the woman and above all, get her to misstep if he could. Following up, he dashed through the maze of finger-like protrusions and swiped at Raven with claws so sharp and tightly coiled, they shimmered even in the overcast lighting when he drew his wrist upwards.
Che's first response to Timothy's arrival was an apprehensive silence followed by a few steps backwards. From the white haired hell spawn of a Herlald, Che could feel animosity flowing from his being in profuse torrents. Of all the people he managed to find, it had to be him. And of all the people he had to be trying to rescue, it was Kate. Couldn't have been Will or No---oh wait. Biting his bottom lip, Che with held a sigh, but once his back met a building wall, he was trapped. Flight wouldn't help him nor would running. Timothy and his cheap little power had every option except for teleportation covered. Che didn't have the card for such an ability....
Timothy inched closer to the Mastering Owl, then stopped when he decided the man couldn't pass him. Up, left or right was covered so there was no escape unless Che improvised the hell out of his moment. Timothy knew how Che's mind worked...there wasn't much he could do here. To illustrate this, Timothy leaned forward, then looked up into Che's purple eyes before holding out a hand over Kate. The Mastering Owl's eyes narrowed to slits and his scowl extended marginally. The Herald knew this situation was in his favor and he'd use all that he could here to his advantage. Even Che's dying friend.
"Hello Che." Timothy greeted with a smirk all the while surging electricity around his left hand. As long as Che could hear the crackling, then he'd know that the woman's life could end at any time as long as he was here. If it also meant domineering all of Che's actions from here on, then so be it. "How've you been these past few days?"
"I've been fine short stuff. How about you?" Che replied just as how Timothy expected. With some form of insult. The Herald was far too focused to allow something like that to get to him or into his mind. Che knew this, but it didn't hurt to try did it?
"Kid, you're one of my favorite fugitives. You've been escaping us for almost a full millennium. Maybe more....I forget your age. Regardless, I just thought I'd let you know that before I continue." Timothy lowered his hand onto Kate's side just inches below where she had been wounded. This made Che bite down on his lip even harder. It also made Timothy's eyes narrow to match the angered stare given to him by dark haired Owl before him. "What I like the most about you Che is how many people you've managed to kill just to avoid us. I will admit, sometimes, we let you, but others...you just managed to ruin. It's almost laughable. Your count is nearing the ten millions! Remember back when you tried to tell the world about us the first time with Dante and your nation of followers were either fried or swallowed by the Earth?"
Che's finger extended from Kate's shoulder and pointed at the Herald. Timothy, in retaliation, simply slid his hand closer to where Kate's open wound was and generated more electricity to crackle around his hand. "She's bleeding you know...liquid conducts electricity. Try anything and I'll fry her insides to nothing, got that? Now....before I continue, I want you to know, I have a deal. You can keep running away and you can keep getting your family members killed. The only thing about it, is that...it may hurt a little."
Che's brow rose at the last words of the Spectral Owl. He wasn't very often a cryptic man, but when he was, nothing was what it seemed. Rolling his finger back, Che stood in a moment of silence thinking of what to do...before he looked back up though into Tim's partially uplifted hair, the Herald was moving...
Timothy drew his hand back in an arcing motion. What this did was it forcibly removed the two metallic rounds from Kate's body. Of course, this would prevent infection, but the pain it had to have caused the woman was excruciating. Timothy didn't care though for now Che's debt was in his hand and his proof were the bullets. When Che lifted his shin to kick at the Herald for what he'd done, Timothy simply lifted his foot and pushed Che's leg back through the building's wall and rested his hand over the next bloody wound upon Kate's midsection. "Calm down, Che. Before I put one bullet in her head and the other in yours..."
