Vergil drew out Yamato,the blade reached out about 5 feet from the crossguard"come on then.....show me what you're made of"  (sorry for the late post...had school and other stuff to deal with sweatdrop )

((Whaaaahhh!!! Writer's block for Kagome and InuYasha . . . crying ))
Miroku pulled out some sacred sutras and started muttered prayers rapidly.
Sango's grip on the boomerang tightened as she waited for the half-demon to attack.
Kirara snarled, her hair on end, and the fire flaring around her feet.

Kagome led them to a field and then turned back to Akito. "Okay, so where's this Growlmon?" she asked, placing her hands on her hips.

"Right here." akito said, waving his hand, gesturing to Guilmon. Guilmon took a few steps foreward, becoming surrounded by a fracture code. The sphere of codes expanded before dispersing, revealing Growlmon. A stream black smoke streamed from his nostrils as he stared down Kagome. Akito smiled, "Ladies first."

InuYasha growled protectively, not liking that Kagome was fighting.
Kagome pulled out an arrow and strung it into her bow. It glowed pink as she aimed it at Growlmon and then let it fly.
Miroku finished his prayer and looked up at Vergil. "We don't wish to-" but he was cut off as Sango walked forward.
"Kirara and I will fight." she said, glaring at Vergil. "And you'll learn that just because a human and a demon fight as partners, it does not mean that the demon is a pet." she said and then threw her boomarang straight at Vergil. "HIRIKOTSU!"

Growlmon fired a Pyro Blaster attack at the arrow, the two attacks canceling eachother out. One of his blades extended from his arm and glowed blue, and staticed. He charged and swung at Kagome.

Kagome summoned her spiritual energy and put up a glowing pink shield around her, her bow held in front of her to help her channel her energy.

Sakura watched Kagome and Growlmon from a small distance away not wanting to getin the way of the two.
Shaoran began his search for the other, although his progress was slow seeing as how he;d no idea where the other went or how to find him.

Growlmon raised both claws and started to slam them against the barrier she had conjured.

The barrier held up although Kagome cringed every time Growlmon slammed his paws against the barrier, a layer of sweat breaking out on her forehead, showing that holding up the barrier was taking a toll on her

Growlmon took a step back, altering his footing, he turned swinging his large tail at her, coming from her side with a decent amount of force.

Kagome visibly flinched as the tail hit her barrier, and her legs shook, but it seemed that the barrier was going to continue to hold, until it suddenly flickered out of existance, after stopping the momentum of Growlmon's tail. Kagome was breathing hard, but she wasn't just going to give up. She strung her arrow again and then shot one that was filled with spiritual energy and right after that she shot another one, once again filled with energy. She then fell to the ground, her legs giving out from under her.
InuYasha growled, his claws digging into the palm of his hands. He hated how Kagome was using her energy like this. If the actual enemy were to attack now, she would be defenseless.

The first arrow grazed his arm, the second sticking into one of his hands. He let out a growl of pain and pulled it out. "I will not continue unless you can stand upon your legs." Growlmon said, taking a step back from her to give her room.
