Unafraid of Dreams (1x1) (Daringly Filled)

Selina cried out in pain as her head hit the ground near the cold fire. She looked up at Laung and then back down to the floor. "Y-yes sir . . ." she murmured softly, holding back tears, determined not to let Laung see her cry . . . she wouldn't let him see her cry anymore . . .

Laung turned as he heard the cry of pain but visibly winced. It hurt ... everything told him to take her into his arms and comfort her but why was he feeling like this? "GO!" he commanded pointing at the door. He was getting angry with ... himself?!

Selina flinched again, not only from the fright of him yelling, but also because his loudness caused her head to pound painfully. "Wh-where's the dog?" she murmured softly, fearful, having no idea where to go.

Laung growled under his breath “out in the courtyard” was the tense answer that left his lips. He was breathing heavily, he had no idea why he was so angry only that he was and Selina was part of the reason.

Selina flinched again and quickly left the room, heading towards the courtyard . . . she would be sleeping in a cage tonight it seemed . . . she had hoped that Laung was starting to recognize her as a human being . . . but it seemed that she was no better than an animal . . . Tears burned her eyes as she made her way out to the courtyard. Tears she was desperately trying to hold back . . .

Laung slammed his fists against the wall, roaring in anger. He hated this! Why did he feel this way about that slave of a girl? Should he be treating her like dirt or should he be kind? Biting his lip he growled under his breath and closed his eyes, focusing on something very hard.

Liava came running out to the courtyard breathless, she had heard about Selina being sent out her "Selina!" she called out to her friend "Selina!"

Selina looked up at Liava and rushed to her, throwing her arms around her friend as she looked to her for comfort. She let the tears fall now, sobbing against her friend, though she said nothing. It was not a pleasant feeling . . . whatever she was feeling right now . . . She'd been mistreated before . . . but she had been rather indifferent at that time . . . why was it when Laung mistreated her that she felt so hurt?

Liava held Selina tightly in her arms breathing deeply in and out "Selina" she whispered. She could hear the tears, what had her brother done to her? "Come inside" she whispered, leading the girl up to Liava's bedroom. Once there Liava led Selina to the bed "lie on there, what's wrong Selina?" she whispered stroking the girl's hair gently

Selina shook her head and tried to get up. "I . . . I gotta go watch over a . . . a dog . . . in the cage . . ." she blubbered out, the tears continuing to slide down her cheeks, but she didn't want to risk angering Laung further by not taking care of the dog.

Liava lay a hand on Selina's shoulder and gently placed enough pressure hopefully to stop Selina from rising "I'll take the punishment. Laung is being ...." she stopped trying to think of a insult without making her seem rude. It was hard "Laung is like the dogs" she said simply

Selina sighed and then leaned against Liava, hugging her and letting her comfort her. "Thank you . . ." she murmured softly.

Liava smiled and gently rocked back and forth to soothe Selina “please get some sleep, everything will be fine. Your way too upset to do anything” she said quietly. “Sleep Selina, get some sleep” she whispered in a hushed undertone, like a mother to a child

Selina sighed and sniffled as she relaxed, the rocking slowly putting her to sleep.

Liava placed Selina on the bed with a gentle tenderess and watched her from the chair before rising and locking the door. It was to stop anyone like Laung taking Selina. Liava finally fell asleep in her chair

Selina dreamed . . .

She walked down a hallway and exited out into the courtyard . . . She felt drawn across the courtyard and she saw a cage there . . . in the cage, a dog, shivering . . . She reached out a hand as she knelt down . . . the dog looked very ill . . .

Selina sat up with a gasp, drenched in cold sweat. She jumped out of bed, ready to run out to check on the dog when she noticed that Liava was blocking the door. She bit her lip and then carefully moved her friend to her bed. Grabbing a nearby shawl, she moved the chair away and rushed out the door. She raced to the courtyard to where the dog's cage was and she saw the dog, sleeping. She sighed and decided to stay with the dog in case her dream came true . . . She shivered a little because it was kind of cold outside . . . she crawled into the cage and cuddled up to the dog, draping the shawl over the dog, trying to protect it . . . she had always had a soft spot for animals . . .
