Sung Family Compound (Yun and Luna's home)

Luna squeaks as she was picked up and once she has gotten out of it nods "The young one is right Yun. Or.." her hand turns green "do I have to rebreak your bones to teach you Im right?" Luna looks at Rini and says "So, when do you want to start your training, after or before your mother wakes up?"

Rini's smile -- which had emerged when Luna said she was right -- faded quickly and she glanced in the direction of her mother's room. "I --" The genin bit her lower lip in thought, falling silent. Various emotions flickered across her face, but no one remained longer than a heartbeat. Finally she lifted her chin and answered firmly, "I believe it would be best if we start as soon as possible. If I sit around doing nothing, then I'll start thinking too much . . ."

A presence is felt in the shadows as the mask of an ANBU agent appears. A letter is handed out to Yun as he opens and reads it.

"Rini, Luna, orders from the Mizukage. We must report to his office immediatly"

Yun heads off there now.

Rini blinked in surprise at the message. She was being summoned to the Mizukage's office as well? She glanced uncertainly at Luna. Her training would have to wait . . . or if they were going on a mission, they might train on the road? Then something else struck Rini's thoughts, and she snapped her attention back to Yun -- who had already left. Eyes widening, she scrambled after him, sputtering, "But-but you're not fully healed yet!"

By the time Rini returned to the compound, she had calmed down considerably. The bad taste from the antidote the Mizukage had given her was finally gone from her mouth. As she approached her mother's room however, her stable spirit seemed to waver slightly and her gait slowed. She chewed on her lower lip, taking a deep breath before stepping into the room.

Rini visibly drooped as she stood in the doorway. Her mother was still unconscious. Shoving aside her disappointment, Rini moved over to the bed and folded her hands around one of Kirin's. The woman's skin was still cool, but not as cold as it had been -- not as close to death. Rini could feel the steady pulse of blood in her veins, and it relaxed the young girl somewhat. Kirin was still alive -- for the time being, at least. Rini wished that her mother would return some of the pressure that she was putting on the woman's hand, but Kirin's hand remained limp -- her grasp nonexistent.

Sighing softly, Rini leaned over and kissed her mother's forehead. "Get better, Mom. Please," she whispered before releasing the woman's hand and turning to exit the room in search for her sensei.

Luna sighs and thinks Yun your way to reckless sometimes and followed him and Rini to Luo's office.

Not finding her sensei around -- and getting confirmation from a maid that Luna had left shortly after she herself had -- Rini returned to her mother's room. She curled up in a chair next to the bed with a pen and pad of paper given to her by the aforementioned maid. After a brief glance over at Kirin, Rini lowered her gaze to the paper and began recording everything she could remember from her mother's healing -- the names of the jutsus used, their hand signs, and their effects.

Soon, her eyelids began to droop and she stifled a yawn as the events of the day finally caught up with her. Rubbing one eye, Rini glanced around the room and over at the door. When no one appeared -- and there was no sign of her sensei -- she settled deeper into the chair, leaning her head back and slightly to one side. She would just close her eyes for a moment to rest them, and when Luna returned . . .

Rini never finished the thought as sleep overtook her.

((That's okay. I totally understand. I'll be busy with work most of tomorrow and Saturday,
plus my B-day is Saturday, so I might not be on much then in general. *shrugs*))

Luna had left a clone in the office of Luo, awaiting orders, and Luna ahd come back to see how Rini and her mother was doing. The clone checked the pulse of the woman, she was doing much better than her original condition, and called over Kira, her wolf, using the chakra in ehr hands to place Rini on his back without disturbing the small ninja. The wolf walked into Rini's room, and Luna again using the chakra placed he rinto the bed. The gennin would need much rest after the training they would be doing. She shut off the lights to the girls room and walked into her own room taking a book of the shelf that said "Bravenheart's" and opened to a page with a Jounnin man in it with a title that said Bravenheart, Heichi. "Borther..." she touched the page remebering the day she was told he was dead and clenched her fists trying to hold abck the emotion.

Rini shifted, slowly rousing from sleep. She blinked groggily and glanced around, confused for a moment. Then, she remembered. She had passed the graduation exam. Luna Bravenheart and Yun Sung had taken her as their student. The village had been attacked. Her mother . . . . her mother!

The gennin threw back the covers and scrambled from bed, bare feet slapping against the floor as she hurried to her mother's room. Kirin still slept -- her heart still beating. Rini breathed a sigh of relief, leaning against the door frame and watching the woman breathe for a moment. She frowned slightly, glancing at the chair in which she had fallen asleep. Rini did not remember moving from the chair to her room, so how . . . ?

She quickly realized that it must have been Luna -- or Yun, though she doubted the later had returned yet. Rini turned and continued down the hall -- calmly and quietly this time. The girl peeked into her teacher's room, calling softly, "Sensei?"

Luna's tears hit the pages of the book, joining the many others that had been there before. When she heard the voice she quickly controlled her tear ducts and stopped the tears, but could not control the deep pain in he heart. She got up and face Rini, placing the book on the shelf. "Ah, Rini, it's 1 in the morning, what are you doing up? I though you wanted to get some rest before we did our vigerous training."

The girl shifted slightly, a faintly guilty look on her face. "I was just checking on Mom," she replied softly. She glanced up at Luna through her eyelashes, studying her briefly and noting the slightly puffy look to her eyes -- the remnants of tear streaks on her cheeks. There was the faintest scent of salt in the air as well -- just enough to tease Rini's senses. "Sensei . . . ? Are you alright?"

Luna adjusted the flush in ehr face using her chakra and took away the puffy eyes and smiled, still clenching her fists ignoring the question "So, how is your mother doing? She laughs akwardly "heh.."

Yun walked through the doors and through the hallways.

"Luna! Where are you!"

He walks into the room, yet something was different about him. There was an aura eminating from him.

"Luna..."

"She's still not awake yet," Rini answered, still studying Luna with a concerned look. She opened her mouth to say more, but Yun all but appeared from the hall behind her, making her jerk slightly in surprise. The girl glanced up at him, unconsciously edging away from the man.

Something seemed . . . off. Rini could not quite place her finger on it, but something about Yun made warning bells sound in her head.
