Shikayumi made her way promptly to the grounds, anxious to begin studying her father's signature technique in shadow manipulation. This technique, the Shadow Infiltration Technique, would allow her to fade away in a blink of an eye; or as long as she could maintain control over her target. She stopped infront of a tall oak tree, the same Oak tree she had met all her friends at long, long ago. "Perfect," she said anxiously; which seemed very rare for a Nara, let along Shikayumi.

It was a little past noon as the tree's shadow began to cover the grounds. Although she wouldn't be able to manipulate the movements of an inanimate object, this would stand as more than a test for the young kunoichi. Like many smart shinobi she would start off slow; reading over the technique to make sure taht she didn't look over anything. The technique relied a great deal on controlling ones chalkra not just to link themselves to the target, but also to maintain concealed within their shadow. ~1/8

After studying the scroll carefully, Shikayumi stood a few feet from the base of the tree's shadow. Using her Shadow Manipulation Technique, she linked herself to the tree; in the heat of battle, this would be the easiest way for her to subdue her target in order to infiltrate their shadow in the heat of battle. Next she would begin the practice of sinking into her target's shadow. In order to do this she would have to make her body razor thin, as she laid flush with the shadow. ~2/8

The process of fading into the ground seemed really unproductive. She could feel the flow of chalkra across her body, but in the end, she just wasn't seeing any of the results. Suddenly, she could feel almost a squeezing feeling around her ankles. As she looked down, she could see that her legs were coming to a transparent point as they began to blanket the shadow of the tree. ~3/8

A very strange feeling indeed. She almost lost her control of the jutsu in all the excitement as she quickly realigned her focus into the jutsu. She could now feel herself sinking a lot quicker as her waistline became perpendicular to the ground. Still holding her handsign, she leaned back into the jutsu as she flattened out, and the faded, into the shadow of the tree. ~4/8

As she laid within the shadow of the tree she would be in complete incognito to the majority of shinobi around her. The beauty of this technique was that, even if someone could sense her chalkra, they would sense it through her victim. Only the Hyuga clan has managed to see through this jutsu thus far. It was a brilliant technique, a great way to find solitude, or hide from an enemy. ~5/8

Kokunai strode into the training grounds his eyes looking around as if he was searching for someone in particular. "Shikayumi?" Kokunai asked looking around still attempting to find Shikayumi. He had sensed her presence and wanted to find her partly out of boredom but the other part was to apologize. He was not sure if his playful demeanor had gone too far and wanted to ensure he showed Shikayumi he appreciated her friendship. "I sensed her around here somewhere but now she has seemingly disappeared. It's a pretty neat trick to be honesty the concealment is almost as good as mine" Kokunai whispered to himself still looking around for the girl hoping he would find her soon.

Shikayumi could hear footsteps coming in her general direction; it was Kokunai. The perfect opportunity to show off her new trick to one of her favorite comrades.As he walked over her shadow, she peeled up from the shadow and back to her solidified state. "Hey stranger," Shikayumi said as she stood behind him with her arms crossed. "Learned a new jutsu today...wanna see?" she stated with an overly confident grin.

Kokunai's body coiled at Shikayumi's words and he did an aerial to his right rotating in the air so that he landed facing her. The move was perhaps unnecessarily flashy but Kokunai couldn't help it Shikayumi drew out his competitive side. His eyes seemed to glisten at her words excited that she had learned a new technique. "Very well I would love to be your guinea pig" Kokunai said bowing his head slightly insinuating her new technique required a subject. Shikayumi's confidence was reassuring and a side of her he rarely saw. How could he possibly deny her when she was in this mood?

Shikayumi lowered her arms as she made the handsign for the shadow manipulation technique; thus linking their shadows together. "It's funny you should say "Guinea Pig"." she stated as she walked towards him. She brushed her hand across his shoulder as she stood behind him in his shadow. "Sorry if there is any temporary discomfort," she mentioned just before she slipped into her technique. Her body became paper thin as it became transparent with Kokunai's shadow. For here she would be sharing Kokunai's mind and boby.

She had never done this technique to another shinobi before; it was almost like being someone else. "So this is what its like to be the Yamanaka clan." she spoke as it projected from Kokunai's mouth. It almost caught her by surprise; her father really outdid himself with this technique. ~5/8

Kokunai exhaled slowly as he felt her enter. He trusted Shikayumi completely and knew she would not do him harm with this technique. He felt control slip from his body and it was surprisingly calming. He had been sharing his body his entire life so it did not scare him that something like this was happening. "Now you know what Matatabi feels" Kokunai thought assuming his thoughts would be heard by Shikayumi. Kokunai wondered what it would be like for Shikayumi to feel not just Kokunai's presence but the presence of a demon as well. Matatabi seemed to stir inside him feeling the presence of someone new inside Kokunai.

"What are you doing child?" Matatabi muttered lethargically her soft elderly tone resonating through Kokunai's consciousness reaching out to Shikayumi as well. "It is fine Matatabi, the one means us no harm. Go back to sleep she will not disturb you" Kokunai pondered reassuring the demon within himself that there was no threat. Luckily for both of them Matatabi was extremely lazy and would often trust Kokunai for the simple reason of not wanting to do any work. The beast sighed before disappearing returning to the depths within Kokunai.

Kokunai's attention returned to Shikayumi "This is very comfortable for me, how is it for you? Am I able to assume control in this form if you relinquished it?" Kokunai thought to her wondering the extent of this jutsu. It probably would have frightened him if he had not experienced this before which would probably help the duo and allow this to become a regular technique.

Basically, just imagine if someone took your body and started parkouring across the tops of buildings.

Shikayumi shuttered a bit a a wave of chalkra; Matabi's to be precise. Matabi did make Kokunai's mind seem a bit crowded, and at one point she wondered if she could untap Matabi's power, but she knew better than to stir up sleeping giants. She could hear Kokunai's voice in the back of his head, and she would always answer him through his own mouth. "I'm sure I could give you creative control over your body if I wanted to...but for now I think I'd like to take this body of yours for a ride. ~6/8

Anxious to test out Kokunai's body she took it on a trial run through the grounds. Leaping into the treeline she moved from branch to branch with the graceful accuracy of a Kunoichi. Shikayumi's fighting style was always angelic; each move flowing into the next with speed. It was weird to see her movements portrayed through Kokunai's body...especially since her movements tend to be a bit more acrobatic. She definitely pushed his body to the limit; maybe even to the point of insanity. Performing outrageous jumps and trick shots that wouldn't dare do with her own body. "This is amazing!" Shikayumi spoke through Kokunai. ~7/8

"Please help yourself" Kokunai mused to Shikayumi wondering just how she would test his body. Kokunai's new taijutsu style employed a bunch of acrobatics and Kokunai specializing in speed while lacking in strength employed acrobatics into his fighting to prevent from being out classed with strength. His body would arch and coil naturally not fighting Shikayumi's efforts to move. He had a long body and stretched for an hour everyday and in doing so his flexibility probably rivaled Shikayumi's. With Kokunai's longer frame moves previously impossible to the kunoichi would soon appear. Their movements seemed to flow together although Shikayumi's class would suggest strength she grasped speed with ease knowing how to grab the branches and use Kokunai's long frame to propel himself with a speed she wouldn't normally be able to achieve. "Good luck wearing me down, movement is my specialty" Kokunai thought playfully to the girl watching as she operated him like a puppet pushing his bodies capabilities.

Kokunai trained his body rigorously holding himself to a higher standard Shikayumi would need a lot more than just parkour to tire his body. "Let me know once you've finished having your fun" Kokunai said to her still not putting any effort into fighting the womans control over his body.

Shikayumi lunged forward at a branch as she landed on Kokunai's right hand. Pivoting off that hand she rounded to her feet. "This is too much fun!" Shikayumi projected through Kokunai's body. Being the witty girl she was she knew how to end this little test drive. "Alright time to play with the two tailed Bijuu," she muttered as she lunged out of the tree and to the ground.

As kokunai's body landed to the ground, it sprang right back into action; this time leaping to the stone fence line, and onto the rooftops along the city streets. "Hah, kidding!" she muttered as she raced the sunset across the city.~8/8

Escher, alone and by the lake, sat looking at his reflection. Looking mainly at the eyes that has caused him so much grief as he circled the water with one of the metal rods he has learned to make over the years. He stood up and figured that it was time to start his training if he was ever to get anywhere in the ninja world. He took a deep long breath and closed his eyes. He felt the wind around him, the pace and direction it was moving. The birds, he could feel the beat of their wings, predict their flight patterns. He was going to learn to master these eyes of his and make his mark on the ninja world.

He exhaled once more and spoke a simple phrase that he has been saying since he was young. "Aqu-DeGraw". He throw the rod he was holding above him and and placed his hand out. As it fell from the sky he focused his chakra on the gravity around the rod. Seeing that it was not budging, Escher stepped to the side and let it fall to the ground. 1/3

He picked the rod up from in the ground. He threw it skyward once more and raised his hand towards it. He focused to shift the gravity around the rod. The Rod shifted slightly but still Escher saw that he had not changed the decent of the rod by much and simply moved to the left. 2/3

He walked over to the rod again, picking it up and lazily tossed it up. He then placed his hand above him, palm up. With a quick snap to attention, he focused his chakra and saw the shift in the trajectory of the falling rod. He stood still as the rod fell to his right. And with that Escher learned his first justu besides the basics.3/3

He was practicing his newly learnt jutsu, wanting to get the hang of it before using it in battle. When Trying he move once again, when the rod was falling from the sky, he accidentally put made his the metal rod disintegrate into nothing. This was something he was going to have to teach himself to do. All these moves that his eyes allowed him to do. 1/3

He formed another rod and placed it on the ground and took a few paces back. He place his hand out and pointed towards the rod and try to blast it to nothing. He forced a blast of chakra at the rod and watched as nothing happened. 2/3

He then tried to replicate the feeling he had the moment he had done it on accident. He placed his hand out once again. He let out a burst of chakra and the rod turned to dust before his eye. 3/3

Haruko cautiously surveyed the training area, and once satisfied it was safe walked out of her hiding spot and began stretching. That was when she noticed Escher. He was different and she all but sense an aura of power around him. He was different then the rest of the people training. She slowly approached him, speaking in her loud, but musical and soothing voice, "Hello there, I don't believe we've met before. My name is Haruko, and you would be?"

Escher turned as a girl, who's voice carried like music in the wind. He could see the chakra around her and took note of her chakra and saw that it was higher than his. He then notice that he was asked a question. He had just finished designating one of the many rods, practicing his jutsu, which was evident by the dust around his feet. "Escher." He said simply. He was not very keen on meeting people would gladly answer any question prepossessed to him.

Escher, after giving his name had long since turned away, but the girl still lingered around. When saying that she always remember a face, he chuckled. Something he dose not really do. He doubt the name would have been remembered but maybe there an off chance that it would be. "Escher Nagino" when he spoke his whole name it felt weird. Like he was suppose to be a symbol of good for the ninja world, just like the man who held the name 'Nagino' before him. He then felt eyes still on him. Like the people from his past judging him. He produced a black metal rod from seemingly out of no where. He threw it up in the air and turned to Haruko. "Your getting closer as if your familar with me," He stated as the rod began its decent. "but stare for too long." He created a single gesture, almost like a handseal but different. A pulse of chakra emitted from his body as he reduced the rod to nothing, practicing the jutsu he just learned. "And people might think your judging them." He said as he turned towards Haruko, showing her his eye to the fullest.
