"You can come whenever you want. It'd be nice to have some company once in awhile." Malik replied, holding the door open for Jounouchi.

Yuugi shrugged, "I guess we're going in."

Anzu grinned, "Other than Jounouchi being rude," she joked, "I like animals, so why not!"

Anzu grunted, "Why do you always assume you are being picked on!" She huffed as she followed the others, "I wasn't calling you an animal, but now I really should."

Malik just laughed quietly. He liked the warm feeling the others seemed to give him. It was comforting, even if he wasn't part of the group... it was comforting, just being around them like this.

"I'm sure Malik's cat will be more behaved than you Jounouchi-kun!", the brunette added with a witty grin.

Malik grinned sheepishly at Honda... What's with this guy? He was making him a tad nervous. The Egyptian marched over to the small cages behind the window... the little sand colored kitten was still there - nestled in a ball in the corner of her cage. "That's the cat." He said, pointing to it abruptly.

A bored salesman drifted over to the group... since it was near closing, the store was mostly vacant (aside from the friendship gang - accompanied by a slightly sane former villain), and quite frankly, he needed something to do. He ruffled his red orange hair, stuck his hands casually in his pockets and said, "Do you need any help over here?"

Malik nodded. "Yea... I wanna get a pet."

"That tends to be what people do at a pet store..." The young employee scoffed.

"Heh.." The Egyptain rose an eyebrow... Jokester, eh? "Yea, I want this kitten." He pointed at it again. The kitten yawned, awakened by the noise. " The other's are just looking around... I think. Do you think I can get it once we browse a bit more."

The salesman nodded, "You can take it out of it's cage if you want." - before walking away.

(No problem. Mr. Orange hair is pretty nifty, eh? I think I don't want Malik with Jounouchi anymore. I want him with the Orange haired bored guy. Yup. Sorry Kitsune chan... but Jounouchi just can't compete...

"As long as you don't piss yourself, Jounouchi," the Egyptian joked with a smile that meant no harm, he opened the metal bars on the cage which startled the kitten completely awake this time. Looking at the many faces around it, the cat was pretty scared and she backed into the opposite corner of the cage from Malik.

((XD; Really? *gasp* I'd never give up my one true love. *laugh* Seriously, while I do go in and out of fazes... I've never found a pairing in any anime ever that I liked more. I guess it's because in my eyes I can't find any characters I love as much as those two. They are truly.. super special awesome...

Jou: Stop saying super special awesome!

"What do you mean dumb joke? I think it's hilarious... I think you're just too sensitive!" Malik commented smugly, a smirk snaking its way across his bronze face.

Yuugi just looked at Anzu... were Malik and Jounouchi...bonding? Even if it was arguing, Jounouchi didn't seem full of rage and hate the way he acted towards his enemies... he was just being his defensive self. "Hey Anzu.. let's go look at the fish." He said pointing across the store to the fishtanks.

"Wha? But fish are sooo borin-"

"Who are you kidding Anzu! Fish are great! I want to get one as Grandpa's memento... so, let's go... " The big eyed teen yanked on his friend's arm impatiently.

So childish. But that was Yuugi for you... wait.. memento...? "Yuugi your Grandpa isn't dead yet..."

"And what are you doing trying to be my baby's mommy?!" Malik shouted in Jounouchi's face at his outragious attempt to lure the cat to his side. (He also made it a point to poke at the other's chest a couple times just to prove how much this upset him.) "If you do that, it's going to start following you like a fat duckling following it's stupid... BLOND mother."

Meanwhile, the carrot toped employee had plopped himself down behind the counter, glumly eyeing Jounouchi and Malik's arguing. Oh - how jealous he was. If only he had a beautiful, lavender eyed foreigner to call his own. Reminded him of that summer fling he once had in 1999... oh right, but that's another story... for another roleplay thread on another super website, for super nerds... And now, back to Yuugiou...

((Well, it is rather difficult to understand sarcasm through the internet. It doesn't always translate. Which kinda sucks... cause I am a VERY sarcastic person in real life...

But gee, I'm very happy for people like you cheering me up. I gotta tell ya, I've been having a really tough week... so, I'm very thankful for Gaia right now. - Real life sucks.. T__T))

"I am not yelling!" Malik insisted, slightly offended by Jounouchi's cruel claim. "I am talking loudly. AND my hair isn't so much a blond color, as it is a sandy cream color. Like the kitten." Malik grinned at it, stuck his hand in the cage, and it hesitantly sniffed his finger tip and then batted at it before jumping away.

((Enh... I'll try to make it short... It's mostly conflicts at work... we used to be a big family - till this new lady came and tried to run everything. Even though she's only been here a few months, the people who run the place wanted to demote my manager whose been here for seven years, and does a helluva a good job. Today she just decided to quit because of all the harassing she'd been getting from the people ('the Board') who run the show (who've only been here a year now)... since she quit, a couple other people quit, and I tried too - but my mom won't let me. Now I'm stuck working with the old hag who took my manager's job all the time...

I worked almost 12 hours today... I'm just... a mental wreck. I can't DO anything about all that's going wrong, and it's pissing me off... I mean... why don't WE, the lifeguards get a say in anything that happens? How the hell can we be managed by someone who hasn't been here even close to as long as we have, and who doesn't even know how to do half of the things right... GAH. Sorry if it doesn't make any sense... when my friend quit today, me and my other friend Jill were in so much shock, so upset - it was clearly written on our faces - and she is never unhappy. It's all been building up to this though... just a lot of drama, and I've mentally quit on this place already.

I probably couldn't explain to you how much it hurts me. Three years at the pool... and it has to all fall apart my last year... I'm just... really crushed. I feel dead or something, walking around the place like a zombie b/c I'm so unsatisfied... and I can't do anything. We're just like puppets on strings to them... and even if we resist, it's pretty much... in vain...

Malik grunted, rolling his eyes also. "Like I said you're jealous. You want a kitty too, don't you?" Teasing Jounouchi was way too easy. With a grin, he wrapped his arm around the other's shoulders, "How bout this? I let you be the kitty's mommy... would you like that Jounouchi-chan?"
