Oohh, Lori, this symbol, :, is a colon.
These, {}, are brackets (some math teachers I've had like to call them curly brackets).
And then these, [], which you use in BB Code here on Gaia, are square brackets.
Usually I slap random remarks as if they were code in square brackets, then, in RPing, I use the other brackets or parentheses-usually double parentheses because I have enough control over the English language that I will actually use parentheses for their intended effect in grammar and subject relations-for OOC comments.
I've had this page up thinking I'd posted this forever ago... Geez, way to go, me. xD

curse you google for being wrong lol.. yeah i wasn't sure tis why i was looking them up. Its been too long since those english and computer classes lol
And now I'm on a fuzzy part of the beginner guide... dice rolling... specially since i don't use it really on gaia.. brb gotta clean dishes for the mom

ANYway.
To be honest, Lore, I'd just tell most people to not use the dice rolling because it's really just not as player friendly as it's supposed to be...
My friends and I never used chance like that; a player could only be hurt or killed if his consent to do so was given.
And I find that just writing things out blow for blow as opposed to dicing it is much more fun, anyway.

Oh, and, uhm, yeah, most of the editing going on is me, just to let you know. ^^;
I'm not really changing anything, just minor things I happen to notice because I'm OCD.
But, the dicing, I dunno, I think we should just leave it up to the RP creators as to whether or not they want to use it and how they want it to be used.

I am but considering that this is a basic overview of styles... i'm gonna at least mention the style... but as i'm writing all this.. i didn't realize all we actually do in a game lol... the details you dun think about when you actually get going in it is kinda amusing really.. between how you post, your characters... etc... heart
and yes a few times... but trust me wait till you get it.. the reaction will be priceless ^.^ (why cause I'm psychic like that.. and i can't wait really till ya finally get it)

well hello then and welcome to the asylum.. ah i mean the thread ^,^
and i posted on the dice and random number styles spazzy.. just a brief quick overview of what i know on them... (I'd rather use the dice in home then on the comp lol.. mine are prettier with sparkles)
