Guardians & Demon King Part III (Ending)

[Mario Dragon]

The brothers finish practicing as much as they will ever be ready. They walk over to Ryuu and ask "Is he really our future king?"

When everyone was finished practicing, Tarik packs their gear and passes out the various potions. "Time to go."

He leads them to the pass to Booforia.

Ryuu chuckles,"As I am my master's assassin." She said proudly as she took the potions Tarik gave her. Tatsuko drops on her head from a tree branch. Cooing at her as she curled up into a ball. "Kaynay ne'e lun." She says to her in dragon tongue as she rolled her eyes. Tatsuko rolling over in reply with a yawn. Once Aku equipped her quiver and sheath correctly, she followed Tarik. After Ryuu noticed them leaving, she also tags along towards the back of the group.

The brothers are in awe, the future king and a girl assasin. This truly was unbelievable. They pick up their swords and follow quickly.

Tarik leads them to the jagged pass border. As they enter, it was strangely seemingly unguarded. Strange, Tarik thought, you would think that it would have at least a couple of guards. As they walked, the hairs on the back of Tarik's neck tingled in warning. He yells out, "Watch out, it's an ambush!" Just as he finishes, hoards of undead soldiers appear from every direction. They were quickly surrounded.

Tarik throws out some potion to clear a path so that they could take up a better position. The Queen obviously knew they were coming but how and why would she send so many troops? She surely did not know who they were and he was not even born yet. Or did she know? How?

Tarik and the brothers take out their swords and start fighting. Tarik did not want to show the queen his powers but there were too many troops of undead so he starts blasting them with powerful bursts of fire and lightning. The legions of troops kept coming. He hated fighting the undead. They had a nasty way of regenerating. He yells to the others "We need to clear a path to the switchback then run for the border!"

Ryuu jumps into action as she drew her sword, slashing the one that charged at her. "Well..wasn't expecting this." Ryuu jests with a sly smirk, the thrill of battle soon took over as she slashed down three more. She stood behind Aku,"Cover me!" She demands, biting the handle of her blade as she got two potions out.

Aku nods, striking another one down with one of her arrows. Each arrow having its own holy powers as she whispered quietly. Ryuu mixed up different potions, then takes the two now full potions throwing the empty vials near her. She draws an arrow, tying one of the potions on it, then gives it to Aku. Aku takes the arrow aiming it carefully before letting it fly past the brothers and onto a crowd of the undead. The potion then explodes, creating an opening. Ryuu takes her blade into her hands, sliding the other potion away for now.

willow looked at merrik, her eyes widening slightly when she noticed he seemed to have the same powers as amiric. he must be the dark guardian of my time. she thought. smiling slightly as she looked at him before turning to the others. " let's go, she can't be far her summoned dragon is here." she said putting her hand on the rose dragons head before touching kira's head. hearing a screech she looked up to see felix fly down, landing on amiric's shoulder.
Elaise woke up and looked around her, wincing slightly she put her hand to her head feeling the blood that was there. " where am i?" she said softly when she realised that she couldn't see anything around her.  

[Kaosujin Ryu]

Merrick glanced at Willow. "You're one of the elementalists," he said quietly; his people had spoken of the Guardians for many years, though now they were merely known as 'elementalists'. His eyes shifted slowly back to the deep gray-black they naturally were. He twisted as he heard the sounds of fighting. "Sounds like Tarik ran into a little undead trouble," Amiric said with a deadpan look. "Let's take out a few undead... and preferably slow Tarik a little while we do," he said quietly. He glanced at Felix, tilting his head slightly. "Felix, lead Sasori, Willow, and Merrick to Elaise... Eiji and I will take care of some of those undead... if they head this way," he said quietly. He glanced to the side, his Kagegan activating as his vision expanded, the colors inverting as he saw nearly two hundred undead miilling around Tarik, some falling dead while others were regenerating. Nearly sixty were headed their way as more began breaking their way through the ground. He focused,summoning the Starlight Dragon. "Take Merrick and Sasori and follow Felix to Elaise and bring her back," he said quietly as the dragon nodded after a few moments, glancing to the Black Rose Dragon as Willow mounted its back.

Tarik made some headway on clearing a path but then more troops arrived. He could see the Queen coming from the distance towards them. She rode her golden chariot across the battlefield.

Ryuu growls as the opening she had created, was a mere mouse's hole. She looks up to see a chariot come their way, guessing it was the queen she cursed under her breath. She slashed at a troop heading for Aku, then side stepped to stab one that was going to the brothers.

Aku had enough distance between her and the troops for a few more minutes as she used the last few of her arrows. She put her bow over her shoulder as she drew her sword, trying to get closer to the brothers as she talked. "You two..get out while you still can. That's an order." She said as she blocked a troop's axe.

The brothers were not sure what to do. Aku had told them to run but weren't they suppose to defend their master? The decide to do what they were told. They scamper between the troops and crawl out of sight into the jagged cliff and make towards the switchback.

Tarik continues to use his powers to blast away at the hoards. He tries to repel the troops back at the queen.

Aku sees them leave then chuckles,"I really do tend to be a mother, hmm?" She thought out loud, for some reason wanting to protect them from the queen. With a grunt, she flipped over landing on one of the troop's helmets. Looking around to survey their surroundings, then jumped off back onto a clearing. Accidentally landing in front of the chariot, her eyes widen as she quickly disappeared. Reappearing a distance between her and the chariot with a sigh of relief.

Ryuu pouts," Their blood has no taste..." She said in disappoint, sitting on a pile of corspes. Slashing off one of the troop's arm when they approached her. Putting her hair behind her ear, she reveled her cursed eye. Its own aura could be seen by those whom could see them as it bended into the pile of corspes. Ryuu then stood, the pile now standing back up and fighting their own troops.

The queen wondered who the women were with Tarik. The women were good fighters and the one by her chariot was very agile. She pulls up her chariot near Tarik and the women. Her spies in Antera had told her about the two, one who seemed to be Tarik's master and the other another slave. It all appeared to be a ruse as they were all fighting very well together.

Tarik looks back to Ryuu and her pile of undead. He chuckles at her comment knowing that she loved blood but the undead, had none. He wields his sword like a weed eater through the undead as they piled up around them.

The queen starts to chant and raise the pile of corpses back to life to fight again.

Tarik sees them start to rise again and sighs. He swears under his breath and starts to kill them again. He then starts throwing spells towards the queen to pile up undead in front of her so she cannot advance her chariot.

Unbeknown to Tarik was that there was another sneak attack traveling behind him silently. Another woman who looked exactly like the queen. As he was focused forward, she blasted him from behind with a powerful spell at point blank range. Tarik turns towards the woman just as the blast hits him. He looks at her in shock. Twin?

As he is thrown up into the air from the blast, and starts to fall. Another blast comes from both of the queens and he is thrown back up into the air and then falls back down to the ground with a large thud, creating a large crater around him, he realizes No! The fire in her eyes told him. She was not the queen from the past, she was the one in front of him, this was the queen from his time! "Oh gawd!" he mumbles.

The pain from the fall radiates from his spine to his entire body. As he lay there in totally paralyzed in pain, the old queen walks over to him. She removes his fake collar and places a real collar of her own on him. Tarik can hardly move, his body is numb and he cannot resist. The older queen smiles and laughs a wicked laugh.

Ryuu kicks one of the troops as she made her way to Tarik. "Who invited the old wench?" She said, seeing the difference between them, as she stood at the crater's edge. Aku arriving on the other side as she aimed her bow, saving the last arrow for a time like this. "Leave him be, or it'll be the last time you'll see." She said as the arrow's head suddenly split in two. The two unaware of the new collar since they arrived a bit late.

Sasori follows with Merrick and follows Felix. They fly to where the smoke was and near the catacombs. The bird leads them down and they start the search for Elaise. Sasori calles out to Elaise yelling "Elaise!...Are you here?...ELAISE!...ELAISE!"

Tarik could hardly move. His ribs were fractured. He starts to slowly curl up and try to push himself up to his feet but as he almost got up, the older queen zaps his collar with an electric shock that makes him fall to his knees.

He weakly yells out to Aku and Ryuu, "Leave me! Run!"

The older queen laughs her wicked laugh and tells them. "Go ahead and run. You will not get far!" The younger queen sends the undead and some gargoyles to grab Aku and Ryuu so that they too can be enslaved.

Ryuu chuckles,"Now, what would he say if I left you?" Ryuu jests, being surrounded by undead once more. She lets out a war cry as she defended herself with the her blade, killing them in various ways.

Seeing the collar shock him, Aku glares at the two queens. She disappears from view of the troops, and in another clearing not too far. She lets her arrow fly,"Canaii!!!" Her voice rang out, the arrow then bursting into two as they went for the queens. However, as she let it go the aim was off when a gargoyle had gotten Aku.

The arrows sliced the younger queen's cheek, and the opposite cheek for the older queen. Aku drops her bow as she was held, and soon after one of the gargoyle had struck down Ryuu. With a deep wound she falls into their grasp, struggling still once she realized she had been caught.

"I have one and only one master." She states clearly as her final say before the gargoyle holding her tighten its grip.
