"Yes, but not one where you faced the wasteland, nor the hardships of a REAL life. The moment you are left alone, you will die within ten minutes." Slade growled, now directly in front of Alex, glaring down at her.

"Wanna bet?" Alex growled barked, stepping back to be further away from Slade, though she met the glare behind his mask.

"I don't need to. The very fact you were kidnapped so easily, wander off like a complete moron, and disobey direct orders tell me EXACTLY what I need to know."

"Uncle Morris' job is to infiltrate into areas no one can. He's suppose to do this s**t and not get caught. Had he been anyone else, I'm sure the spiderbots would have caught them prematurely; I've NEVER wandered anywhere. I've always had an escort; And I only disobeyed your orders because you're an unreasonable jackass who cannot comprehend this simple fact: YOU ARE NOT IN CHARGE OF ME AND MY LIFE."

"EVERYTIME YOU DISOBEY MY ORDERS, YOU END UP IN TROUBLE."

"I ONLY DISOBEYED YOU ONCE AND WITH GOOD REASON! IF I HADN'T DONE IT, YOU WOULD HAVE BURNED EVERYTHING THAT WAS DEAR TO ME IN MY HOUSE!"

"And when slavers abducted you?"

"Because I didn't exactly like the thought of going down stairs with a freak who wouldn't even tell me what the Hell was going on!"
