I know, Ichabod, it's a strange concept having pens tied down like that. But, yes, there are people who will just wander off with pens if they aren't tied down.

Soon I will know whether I'll be one of the staff members who will be brought back to the theater when we open up. Just hard having to continue waiting until last moment to know. I get that it depends on whether we are approved for moving into Phase 3 or not, and working with people's availabilities... but still.

I think what's making me anxious about it is because our state umemployment office mentioned that the current suspension of having to look for work while on unemployment will be expiring on July 1, unless it's extended.

I get that some places are starting to re-open. But it's not like all places are returning back to the way they always were. Many can only have 50% capacity. This isn't just affecting the number of customers one can have... but also how many workers will be needed for the lower attendance.

And that's very key for the theater business. The more customers you have, the more staff you will have on. Because it's a number game. We're only give a certain number of hours to work with for scheduling. So, when you have a smaller overall attendance that means less hours to use for working employees.

I think there's a part of me that just wants to get back to work, so I can stop having to worry about all of the unemployment stuff. Like, yes, getting that nice chunk of money is lovely. But having to go and see how many hours I've worked and how much gross pay I would earn for those hours is just... bit of a hassle.

Plus if the suspension ends, then I have to figure out about the whole job search business (like does having contact with my theater boss count as "job search"?)... or if I can apply for standby or whatever, if I don't go back to work in the beginning with them.

And then there's the thought of... I have my other job at the assisted living. So... would they still technically require me to search for a job when I have that? Because I am technically "working". Or does the job searching only contribute to the lost job at the theater, regardless of COVID or not.

So many questions. Not enough info on the site to give a clear indication of an answer to this.

Alright, I need to stop talking about it. Everything will come clear once I get information from the theater and the unemployment office sends out an update on what the next step of things will be. I'm just getting over anxious thinking so much about it.

With many places have today off due to observation of Independence Day, it's been quite relaxing so far. It's quite nice.
