playing catch-up with the 2 guilds.... got a lovely PM from someone wanting to play in the magical realms rpg in my guild.. replying from the one playing mika in magical technical of this guild... and yeah.. surfing a lil of this guild and editing stuffs in mine... sweatdrop

the calling is mostly on outskirts, and not all the time or more people in the mainland would know of it. It's one of those things the magic side would like hidden from it's own people. Basically (If ya can't tell from Rayna's not so subtle hints) the calling is like a voodoo doll principle in reverse. A calling stone is embedded in a person, tieing them to another. That person with the stone becomes like a scape goat for the one they are tied to, usually a soldier for the wars or public officials. A good amount usually volunteer for this seeing it as a civic duty to aid the war, others like Rayna who see the fighting around them often, not so much. If the person they're tied to has been given an injury, that injury is inflicted on them instead of the one that was supposed to receive it. Same principle for kill shots. If the one they're tied to has had an attack that would normally kill them, the person they are tied to dies in their stead.
Calling stones can't be removed once embedded without outright killing the person. Also, the tie won't be broken until either die. if by some strange chance (cause there are ways to do this) That the person is killed in a way the tie can't be registered, the stone will remain, and it's possible for another to work the spell to tie them together in the same fashion... however it's usually a close range that is needed to re-use a calling stone
