I had a great time last night.

Many of my neighbors had been firing off fireworks. One of the times while they were doing it, I went out to see and my next door neighbor noticed and said I was welcome to come over to watch at a closer distance than I was. Also got to learn his name. So, I at least know that neighbor's name now. Then my friend's father ((who happens to live and is the landlord for the apartments diagonal from my block)) noticed me and I went over going "Surprise Neighbor!" Spent the entire evening with my friend's family; amazing to see how much her younger sibilings have grown up. I also saw one of the resident kids and was shocked to see how much she had grown; the last time I saw her was when I was hanging out with [my now ex-]boyfriend and she was just a little girl I was coloring pictures of dragons and ponies with. Now she's gonna be entering high school, I believe. eek

As I expected, the family knew how to put on a good firework show. I even got to fire off a few small cannon ones myself. First time lighting fireworks, so that was interesting.

Everyone was being quite safe and thankfully everyone came away unscathed aside from minor burns just from lighter flames being too close to ones fingers when lighting.

Of course, the evening didn't pass without a couple oddball events... but I won't go into further details about those. All I can say is that everyone was quick to get everything under control and call the necessary authorities to insure everything was back to normal.

I keep seeing pictures of Daryl from the first few seasons of Walking Dead and its making me want to start TWD from the very beginning.
