"Even with a valid excuse, I am not going to stop from doing my job."

"Then you're a fool."

"Fools die. You're living on borrowed time."

"You are. So far, you have nothing to your name to show to your own survival."

"I've been trained by Regulators. They wouldn't give me their offer if I were not fit to be on my own."

Alex then glared daggers into Trig.

"He only read it like that, Alex." Trig replied, staring down at her.

"Even so. I wouldn't even THINK about joining a rag-tag team of do-gooders were it not for it jeopardizing my mission."

"They're not a rag tag team!!"
