Walking down the street The woman sighing with grief.
Her home ablaze, the windows
Shimmer with flare, The gas stove, the fire place,
Or possibly arson, she fears Her loss of possession. Penny lying on the ground, She stoops, grasping its infernal Behavior, donating it to a Worthy cause, what is worthy?
She asks herself, pacing the lane,
Alas she sees the child, homeless and hungry,
This is but a penny.
